Was tidying up earlier and stumbled across some fun old logs... Not sure how many old timers are still around but thought it would be fun to share them now.

Not pretending to hide my bias... Just wondering how much everyone trusts admins these days, especially now that you are all paying for everything. It was one thing to fuck people over when the game was free. Quite another now...

When the stats were changed at that particular juncture, it was a certain Admin changing the stats of a non admin's account.

I trust Squishy and put my faith that he has installed the proper security systems to monitor the others he assigns to help him with the sites operation and does his best to assign trustworthy people to those positions.. human nature is tough and you can never predict what a person will do in the future.. especially once they get a little power..

So based on my trust for Squishy and his security protocols installed.. I will continue to spend my time here and enjoy it and believe if anything happens it will be quickly found, fixed and things put in place to keep it from happening again as he has done in the past to keep the game fair for us all.

and I am not kissing ass, just saying how it is I gain nothing from people trusting the game or not.. but I trust it.

Mistakes have been made by people, years ago at that, time to get over it. Like Striphe put in a nicer manner than I can be bothered with, Squishy has our trust. People who wish to cause trouble and throw around pointless accusations can just fuck off right now, if you don't think the game is fair, don't play it? Simple really. I spend many hours playing this game because I enjoy it, if I had any concern that there wasn't a level playing field then do you think I or anyone would waste their time?

I feel sorry for Squishy that things from so long ago are dragged back to light, he doesn't deserve to have these headaches again.

As I said way back when, Izzy I trust, the others I had my doubts about, but was told I was being paranoid and that there was no way this could happen.

I have seen my unfair share of "code gltches", "miracles", "accidents" and my favorite "1%".

My issue is that it wasn't on a level, and even when confronted about it, it was denied. Official admin response was "there wasn't and has never been any cheating". It was only when logs like these emerged that denial got a little harder to go on.

I honestly doubt they would risk any sort of underhanded activity now, but the fact that some of these ex cheating admins are still loved and respected in the community, and allowed to be in positions of power is highly dubious.

I mostly posted the log to annoy Izzy, since I am only afforded the chance on very rare occasion these days, and to have a dig at tiggy.

For this person to drag up this one notion of cheating at a time when the game has had the least amount of "cheating" allegations is ludicrous.

Yes, admins have "cheated" or "intervened" many times in the past. The example shown here of tiggy is just one example. Including the old .org, (where most of us came from) there have been numerous incidents...

Rumblefish using his relatives "HenryHill" admin account to check out stats, Izzy making accounts to kill DoblesLady and SamTheAmericanEagle, FullMetal adjusting his stats to have unattainable wack stats (for the account length). There have been quite a few other examples of interference which I won't go into as they haven't been 100% verified, but the above examples are things that Izzy himself admitted to once on IRC.

These were all incidents that didnt show the admin team in a good light at all, however they are in the past... before the game took on PAID staff and brought in features which meant people could use REAL money to influence the game. As much as I dislike some of the admin team, the current crop we have are the most professional (and in my opinion), honest and hard working staff we have ever had.

If you don't like what staff we currently have, you might as well fuck off now because they're unlikely to get any better as the security side of things seems locked up pretty tight. Head on over to mafiamatrix if you want to see a place where the admins actually struggle with security issues.

There is only a few of owner/admin would have the ball to do that, killing/wacking another user mean  you just made one user out of this game thus eliminating the potential buyer/spenders/link up commercial. For me , its not only cheating but more likely "Awesome cheating" if only you still called that cheating
