SuperRavioli stands on the ledge of a tall apartment building, scanning the streets below for treachery. However, the morning fog makes it difficult to see, even with his super vision. No matter. The fog would clear in time, but the treachery would still be there. “It will have to wait, I supppse”, he thought to himself

He shook his head. So many villains, not a single hero to be found. SuperRavioli stood out like a sore thumb surrounded by so many dirty rotten scoundrels, his red cape in stark contrast with everybody’s drab greyish formal mob attire. That is why he needed a secret identity to blend in with the crowd. All superheroes had a secret identity, of course.

While not busy protecting the innocent, SuperRavioli posed as a mild-mannered reporter for The Monthly Times, an annual newspaper that released their issues once every several years. It was the perfect job for a superhero, as their lax deadline allowed him more time to do hero’s work. Unfortunately, with the recent explosion of new newspapers, The Monthly Times struggled to stay afloat. SuperRaviol feared the paper would one day be forced to shut its doors for good and he would need to find a new job, one that would not require him to do any actual work. If that day were to ever come, SuperRavioli could rest easy knowing there is another newspaper with equally relaxed deadlines he could work for instead.

He hears a car crash below. “Someone save my wife! She’s trapped in the burning car!”, he hears a man scream out from down below  

Duty calls. SuperRavioli swings his red cape over his shoulder and takes another look down at the city streets from the rooftop, a hero’s gaze in his eye. He steps off the ledge and walks down the fire escape to the sidewalk to go save the day.
