ROGADILE Started by: Roya on Apr 26, '24 11:58

Roya walks into the middle of the street and waves a letter to the crowd that was gathered after recent events:

"I will try to make this as quick as possible. This is a letter that my mother Gillian left me. I will read it." She coughs and starts reading " My name is Gillian. You know me as croc. Although i feel like i already explained the reasons behing my roguing to the ones that really matter to me (and probably most emotionally hurt), i will say this here out loud so it isnt twisted and turned into something else. Plainly:

1 - My target of choice was harison, he is completely useless, never shows up and in MY opinion he doesn't work with the current regime, and in MY opinion he would be a problem for Spike, JTG, and me. BUT, given that LV had more people than NY and PH, i decided to shoot Shoresy instead, for the same reason as harison. Inactivity. We are friends, and i knew this would upset my other friends, but unfortunately it was the easiest option.

2 - He betrayed Corky and Corky was a dear friend of mine... Music also betrayed Corky, and to be completely honest, if she had not perished already she would've been my first target.

3 - The Streets are BORING. I was BORED. I was afraid of being bored to death and not being able to use my nice little cannon! This thing of ours need some excitement from time to time. And i decided i was the one who was gonna shake it up a little.

4 - I'm definitely sure Middy is laughing in heaven now. He would love this.

Basicaly and crudely, this is why. I know i hurt people i love, but in my heart i do not feel like i betrayed them. I repeated countless times that i would not harm them physically and i didnt, when i could have. You guys mean a lot to me.

On that note, i would like to tell StripheCorelli to shove it. I know who you really are, you lying sack of shit. And you ran to the hills as the coward you are, LITTLE SNAKE. I guess Spike and DangerClose will have to see for themselves. In the meantime, i'll wait for your demise, most anxiously."

Roya wipes a little croc tear and starts looking for a home. She needs a nap.

Gillian knew she could never publish a newspaper as good as the MR Gazette and she shot poor TommyVitale for it. He was a good man. And a GREAT journalist. And an even better contest-runner. And my BEST friend. And having the audacity to complain in her posthumous remarks about the Streets being boring while her reign of terror against mafia journalism extended even to her final breaths says it all. If I could compare Gillian to anything, it would be a fingerless pianist pressed forehead-first against an oily piano.

Thank you Hugo! It's much appreciated but these things happen, I'm not sad nor feel any type of way. It's the life we choose to live. You live by the gun and die by the gun.

Thanks to all for waking us up a little, if even for a bit.

Rooogie Roogs are bad and stuff - but man does it make for some much needed drama.

"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I die, you are forgiven. If I live, I will kill you." Such is the rule of honor.

There are literally three types of honor. We have good honor, bad honor and eternal honor. You do not have bad honor in your blood. This life has stagnated almost to the point of beyond repair. The last real war was two years to date. This time two years ago these shores were rapping up a war that lasted over a week. Of course there was bellying aching for various reasons. The bottom line is the plan and successful execution of a new regime turned out to be for the good of all. Many of those who made this place lively are not around now. You may or may not know the details.

You are no worse than those who woke up dead with no reason or rationale. You know that special kill list that lingers around. I do not think less of you nor fault you in any way. To each his own.

I wish you all the best. I found you to be fun.

Cookie steps cautiously into the dimly lit alley adjacent to where Roya stands, reading the letter aloud to the gathered crowd. His eyes flicker with a mix of intrigue and wariness as he listens to the words spoken.

Listening intently, he can't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Roya, understanding the weight of her actions even if he's only just begun to understand the intricate web of alliances and betrayals that define this underworld.

As Roya wipes away a tear, Cookie approaches slowly, clearing his throat before speaking up. "Hey, uh... Roya, right?" he ventures tentatively, hoping to convey his support despite his own uncertainty.

"I'm... new around here," he continues, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness. "Just joined up with the Corellis. Still trying to wrap my head around all this," he admits with a sheepish shrug.

"I gotta say, though," he adds with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood, "that was quite the speech. Can't say I've ever seen anything like it." He pauses, searching for the right words. "If you ever need someone to talk to, or... whatever, I'm around," he offers, hoping to extend a hand of friendship in the midst of the chaos.

With a final nod of solidarity, Cookie takes his leave, his mind buzzing with thoughts of the complex world he's found himself a part of.

Rufus really liked Roya's stament about what her damned mother Gillian did. Shit happens and I surely missed the old great Gillian which were a tremendous being having fun with.

We truly didn't liked when she got in rogue but such shit happens for many so not much news there.

Rufus keeps in mind everything and walks out in same good thinking as he always do.
Report Post Tip

What part of the statement did you like exactly? Where she was going to shoot harison but shot one of her Godfather's allies instead or where she called a Philly CL a little snake?

The education provided by the Spike Academy seems to be sorely lacking. "She's a learner" - yikes.

I try to stay out of the streets these days, but I’m incredibly curious what part of that you liked? Furthermore, “such shit happens” no shit like this doesn’t just happen. Someone made a conscientious decision to take such an action, a very trusted and from what I’ve heard well respected member of this thing of ours made a choice to kill her sister city’s long term leader which from what I’ve observed had always worked hand in hand with her own city’s leaders.

Mr_Intimidating, yes, she definitely failed out of the Academy... Some might say expelled. Sometimes ignorant students decide to rebel about silly poorly-thought-out things. They break into offices, and hurt people. They think they are righteous and above the law, but these youngin's don't know shit. Campus police don't like that, and sometimes SWAT teams get called in and well, yeah. Freedom of speech is one thing, but she sought violence and was given such in return. It happens.

There is nothing to praise about her action. She was wrong on most of what she said, and it's a shame. Not to mention what she did to Lucrezia was completely dishonorable.

The Spike Academy is accepting new applicants, with better vetting and security measures.

I must say never a dull moment or is it dull? I'm going to run with the latter. A hit on me because I supposedly support rogue action. Let me be clear on a few things.

Roya and her kins have made much sense on these shores when it comes to calling out the bullshit. When her kin Gillian spoke the truth on the late Music she lived on and did not care if she was buried. She lived. The majority on these shores agreed then and do now without uttering a word. Ponder that one.

She stressed she was bored. She was not alone by a long shot. But the bloodlining made it impossible to turn this regime into dust. It's so bad that by this point people in power should have turned on each other by now. Enjoy an extremely boring summer. It is already known the summer months slow down.

As for the cheap hit on me I personally do not give two fucks. Thanks for the laugh. My lack of business dealings on these shores depict as much. I made it known from the gate I will be IA and for two reasons. One being there is no point putting time and money into this to be bloodlined because I can build very quickly and more importantly, I am burnt out both on and outside these shores.

Gillian was not a failure by far. I guess she got tired of the hand holding.

Peace out

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

At the end of the day the events that happened here aren’t anything new. These types of actions and this news coverage or response is not something never done before. This happens all the time. Sometimes it happens constantly, other times it takes months. It’s bound to happen eventually.

I’ve personally reached the point where bending over backwards about these shenanigans is just not worth it. It’s fun to throw shade at one another for whatever actions are done, mostly because it’s a good opportunity to get out there and speak, but to constantly spend days or weeks or months or, in known cases, years over shit that’ll repeat itself anyway? I’m surprised some people here haven’t gone totally insane at this point! And sure I’ve meddled into this before…and it kinda sucked. Grrrr, my father died and now all I can do to try and alter the present is rant and scream. Honestly, it’s a pretty fun concept! Knowing one can’t do anything physically, but there’s a giant road with people milling about willing to listen.

Shit’s gonna happen. Shit does happen. The reality is we should spend our time doing what we want to do and make our own decisions how we see fit. You can choose to follow an honor system your whole life and succeed at it, or you can stab one another in the back here and there and alter the landscape that way. You can spend time talking up a storm here and really seeing where loyalties truly lie, you can weed in between people and offer everyone varied perspectives, you can shoot everyone and fight for your success, or you can just sit around and do nothing (I like this choice personally!).

Death is permanent but the soul stays. It’s not like anyone truly leaves here anyway. Usually. Sooner or later they’ll return…and god bless those who never do.

Gillian was not a failure by far.

1 - My target of choice was harison

Name: harison

Rank: Godfather - Chairman
Level: 65
Bodyguards: Insanely Well Protected
HQ: Insanely Well Fortified
Status: Alive

 Weird measure of success.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

BUT, given that LV had more people than NY and PH, i decided to shoot ⊕Shoresy instead, for the same reason as harison. Inactivity.

Seems successful to me. Sure, she was only able to eliminate one GFC, but if killing one of the 6 strongest and most protected in our society  isn’t considered a successful way to voice your displeasure, what would be? Several others also lay dead as a result of Gillian’s actions… as I say - seems like a successful rogue run regardless of how you look at it. She voiced her reason for doing it, so managed to spread her message. Got the streets discussing the matter. So I would disagree that she was unsuccessful. If anything, I’d say she was extremely successful given the salt and misinformation being thrown around now.

Report Post Tip

Hold on, where's the salt or misinformation? She killed someone who by her own words was inactive, another she eulogised as being her "BFF" and a third she killed for having a newspaper with a similar name to her own once-published, month-late effort. The similarity, by the way, was using the word "Gazette" but her stupidity in feeling that was infringement on her work is a topic for another day. The point being that it certainly does depend on how you look at it and without any rose-tinted glasses, this was a pointless failure. One inactive Godfather, who wasn't her desired target; he's still alive, as is the 'lying sack of shit LITTLE SNAKE', and, as I'm assuming you know already, once you reach a level where you can hit "one of the 6 strongest and most protected in our society" you can hit any of them. Choosing Shoresy in particular was probably the least impactful option. Add to that her "BFF", a 14 day old guy who shared recipes, and poor Tommy the newspaper magnate out of jealousy. You're calling that a success? Pretty low bar. It changed nothing, made those who trusted her look foolish, and has probably forever tarnished the reputation of the Spike Academy for Wayward Souls as a educational institution. If Gillian, who remained that retarded after God only knows how long spent in private tuition was the only near-graduate, that place is hardly going to be inundated with applicants is it?

And the Streets are only discussing the matter now because Rufus bizarrely wanted to offer some praise to it, which was actually more interesting than the speech itself.

Anyway, we digress, Gillian remains dead and Tommy continues to publish, which I guess is the only true success story on display. Not Gillian the learner, and definitely not Headmaster Spike.

There is nothing to praise about her action. She was wrong on most of what she said, and it's a shame. Not to mention what she did to Lucrezia was completely dishonorable

"Spike, i would like to know on what my mother was not wrong about, since you said "most"?

Also, it was a rogue action. Nobody, but YOU and DangerClose was safe. She wasn't disonorable, she kept her word on that. She called Lucrezia BFF, but they barely talked, to be honest, she was a really nice person and my mom liked her a lot, but in the end it was war. And i will repeat, people asked her to shoot JTG. As you surely know, its ideal to shoot the first target while still being on the crew. It was very difficult for her to set up an HQ in another city so quickly and hire a protector and then shoot Shoresy. HENCE the reason she didn't do it in LV and shot the useless harison. They have more people and they would surely notice someone from NY arriving in their city and setting up an HQ, wouldn't they? At least PH people would think she was an ally at first.. By the way, thanks a lot for all you taught my mom. I disliked her being called disonorable by you, specially since after her demise she still tried to help you by leaving you money and information. She did anything she could not to hurt you and the turkey."

One inactive Godfather, who wasn't her desired target; he's still alive, as is the 'lying sack of shit LITTLE SNAKE', and, as I'm assuming you know already, once you reach a level where you can hit "one of the 6 strongest and most protected in our society" you can hit any of them. "harison won't be alive for long but to be honest, he doesn't make any difference. He's completely useless and unaware of what's going on. He didn't even knew my mom was roguing until after she died, that was the time when he came around. Nobody cares about him, he's just standing there like a fucking plant. Its laughable, really. The piece of shit snake ran to the west, and got protection all night long, like the cowards he is. As i said before, her BFF was the only one unproed unfortunately and they barely spoke, its sad but its the way things are. The one i really regret was KingSao, my mom and me already apologized to his kin, he was a great person. Shit like this happens, he was on the wrong side that day and he was an upper. Tommy was the only one unprotected at the time too, and it was fortunate, she always disliked the fact that he copyied the title of her newspaper, but her protection was running out and someone had to go too. Boo-hoo."

Choosing Shoresy in particular was probably the least impactful option

"Really? May i ask you why? Seems to me you're saying he was useless? Anyway, doesn't matter. Nobody in my family ever rogued before, it was the first time. Shooting a GFC and 2 uppers feels pretty successful to me for a first time. Chill, you're not intimidating anyone, son. Talk to me when you kill a GFC."

Holden lights a cigarrete and imagines how it would feel to be a catcher in the rye...

"Oh and by the way.. my mom has her my own mind. Incredible, right? Seems to me that some people are pissed that she simply not follow their rules a dog follows its owner. She had her own thoughts and she decided things for herself too. Our world was boring, she wanted to have fun and shake things up a little and she did."

Just another failed journalist who couldn't take the pressure. A tale as old as time...

When will these kids learn that it's never "just a little journalism." It doesn't make you look cooler, it isn't 'hip', but it WILL ruin your life.

I've seen it time and time again. First you start with a little journalism and the next thing you know you're being turned out for pamphlets and find yourself sitting on the same corner as all the other nightcrawlers peddling your "papers" to anyone who gives you a second glance.

Absolutely disgusting.

Can journalism ever recover from such a stanky defeat?
