UPCOMING CHANGE: City breakdown Started by: Squishy at Feb 27, '12 17:58

In the near future we will be breaking down each city into sub sections (Averaging about 5 areas per city)

For example, New York could be broken down into Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx and so on.

Before the code is turned on, you will all be given advance notice of the time/date it will be released so that the CLs can claim what area they want at the moment it is released. For those in a city that all works together, we can agree who gets what ahead of time so that you do not have to be present when it goes live. You will not have to repurchase an HQ, the move is free.

No other information about the the landscaping of MR will be released until we are closer to the date.

Ive seen towns in cities work before in a similar game, If its done rightly it'll be a good change.

Out of curiosity, what will happen to cities like Las Vegas who have more than 5 crewleaders? Would some be left with no town or would more than one leader be able to be present in each one?

You can have, say, 42 crews in Bronx if you want, there is no limit.

Will it be possible when this change comes in to have an individual godfather of each town? Or will it be that when someone gets to Godfather they become the Godfather of the whole city?

Squishy, I'd like to note that I suggested something like this 2 years ago (or whenever Deimne took up GF reign) and since it has now been implemented can I say that I am a fortune teller? Or I'm ahead of my time.

Actually Enoch you where slow as this idea was thought up by the admins way before you mentioned it and was being coded as part of V2. There was some sort of map but don't know if it'll be like that this time around.

I love this idea and It'll add something new to the game. I think that is what the game needs, new stuff to keep everyone interested and catch new users with new features.

I believe it'll lead to many new things happening within the game. Hopefully it can even lead to a growth in user base. Change is usually a good thing. 

Great job Izzy and the rest of the people working behind the scenese making MafiaReturns a better place.

Love this idea if implemented properly, but DeadlySin I wouldn't agree with 'town' godfathers. Godfathers should own the city as a whole.

I like this idea. Different sections crews can hold, and then there be a main city head. Helps in the role-playing aspect as well.
