Since everyone is in upheaval about demoting for bodyguards I thought I'd make a suggestion that I have pretty much posted in every one of the bodyguard threads so far.

While bodyguards are cheaper at a lower rank we will always see people demote to buy more. The simplest solution to me is a static price for bodyguards (say around 2.5mil). Now some might say "That's unfair to new players who can't afford them and will have to rank up to buy them" so what, if you want extra defence you should have to work for it. Bodyguards provide the same level of defence no matter what you pay for them so why the difference in price, as it stands it seems like punishing those for attaining a higher rank.

Pros:
No more demotions for bodyguards
Increased credit sales
Less bodyguards in the game (some may see this as a con)

Cons:
Crew leader less likely to buy you 1 bodyguard to help save from death wackback on new account
Those who purchased bodyguards prior to change at lower ranks will have a massive advantage

Would it be possible for a coder to confirm if this will be considered should it get sponsored?

Still think this is a good idea to eradicate stupid demotions that aren't demotions.

I like this idea. I agree that the extra protection comes at a price and now I feel with most fatal WB appearing to be leaving the game this is an excellent way to fix what it is trying to be fixed here.

I consider this could work. i'm game.

I am liking this as an easy way to fix a problem.
