Not so Innocent Started by: DeadlySin on Nov 20, '12 21:05

I am sure everyone is wondering what the reasons behind this war were. I am going to keep this as short and to the point as I can.

Donnie (a Capo in Los Angeles at the time) approached Phil Steak saying that there was someone in my own city willing to turn against me, who was going to help LA to remove me.

At this point I wasn't willing to believe it true. But I was curious as I had also heard from a different source that a leader in my city was going to turn on me. So I asked Phil to play along with Donnie, to try get more information on what was going on.

A few days later, KingSao approached Phil Steak saying that Donnie had told him Phil was on board to remove my city, and that he had been speaking to Innocence who was on board also.

This made me even more curious, so again I asked my good friend Phil Steak to do some more digging. I also asked him to tell his leaders he was unhappy with me, so that if questioned, their responses would be genuine. Phil wasn't pleased with the idea of lying to his own leaders, but also knew it had to be done to get the information we needed.

Phil was then told that Neon was on side with KingSao and LA, and Vaticus was approached by Cory Chase - confirming all of the rumours.

This was not a war I wanted. This is the hand I was dealt, I played it and came out on top.

Rest in Peace to all those that fell.

A big thank you to New Orleans, Chicago and New York for helping to remove Los Angeles - your support in hard times will never be forgotten.

Report Post Tip

After learning that another city is actively trying to turn other cities, and your own Crewleaders, against you. Whether they were the plan originators or just joined in, there really isn't any other option than to take the action four of the cities took today.

Yes there were losses to our side, but those losses would've been a lot greater if no action was taken.

Rest in Peace to all those that fell. You won't be forgotton.

An impressive double bluff.  Or is that triple?

However, watch this space....

And Phil_Steak will never again be trusted.

"Albeit I am very much on the outside looking in, the explanation to the war is, in my eyes, sound. If I personally had evidence that another city was plotting against me, I would have followed the same route as DeadlySin (along with Philadelphia), Chicago, New York and New Orleans."

"I pay my respects to the fallen on both sides. Although the sacrifice was great, they fought for what they believed in and no one can take that away from them."

Pedro pauses for a second, and then disappears into the rabble of people.

Oh, this I cannot wait for. Don't keep me in suspense for too much!
I've been needing a reason to justify this fear of trusting myself I've had for ages now.

Feeling that it was finally safe to walk the streets again Tom made his way out of the bar. Outside Godfather DeadlySin was just finishing off explaining the reasons behind the war

Well when presented with that evidence no matter what anyone says Godfather DS had to decide what to do, so his decision cost many lives, interrupted vital business, drug deals had to be cancelled for having to hold flights, all in a terrible inconvenience to a man like myself primarily just after the cold hard cash.

pulls out a packet of cigarettes and lights one up

That being said, what we have witnessed over the last 20 odd hours is a whole lotta death. Good people have died, some we morn, others well we quietly respect in our own way. But now it's time to get back to the real business, there is money to be made.

" And Phil_Steak will never again be trusted."

By whom? The people willing to not be loyal and dishonest to begin with?

Phil stood by his friends, and former family. I commend my leader and friend for being so strong in a situation that could define him as a man.

Taking his peace pipe, he begins handing it to Godfather DeadlySin... exhaling the smoke slowly, SquidMaster begins to address the crowd currently in awe...

Events have came and passed last evening, lasting into this morning. Many people have died giving their life for their own perspective on what is considered correct. I commend everyone for the actions they took in defending their families until the bitter end. I was not someone on the list of wanting to do this war either. I will say I wanted to get it over with once we decided it would happen but, I very much so enjoyed the overall leadership the resided in Los Angeles. Innocence shaped that city into a fine example of what people around these shores would call home. I will defend my city and my opinions until the last breathe leaves my body, and this was the correct move to make. If given the opportunity I would do the same thing, even if backed by no city what so ever.

SquidMaster leans his hand out initiating a request for his pipe back before walking off into the shadows..

Any man who hates pickles can't be trusted.  That's just the way things are.

Can I ask this if I may? How do you plan to for some of fallen to feel comfortable with coming back to some of the leaders that just taken them down? Especially when they disrespect the dead with quotes like SpaceCowboys?

'Ballad of Fallen Angeles'

I know that the mafia isn't about hug and kisses, but what about respect? Last time I check my mafia handbook, that was a something important mafsico always cared about.

Report Post Tip

Disrespect is rarely warranted. However Eris cheering and laughing at a death is not really respectful, is it?

Let us not ignore the actions of one side when judging the other.

Report Post Tip

I will agree with you there Phil_Steak. Lets also remember however that there is a difference between SpaceCowboy and Eris. SpaceCowboy is now a bold upstanding leader of the community. Eris was in a war, fairly new girl to this world of ours, and perhaps could have let her emotions get to her. So if you are going to play the card you just did, you have to look at some of the side variables.

SpaceCowboy on the other hand, is suppose to be the person that people look up to and what to come to, join, and look for shelter. I am suppose to join this man?

Also Phil_Steak, if I may have a little more of your time. Eris might have laughed at one funeral, but SpaceCowboy is laughing in the face that all that died.

Honestly you don't draw a line here with that? Do YOU want people to come back? I am sure you do... Well, I hope you do.

Like I said, respect is a main factor.. I thought of all people here, you would try to see that it is upheld Phil. You.. You surprise me more and more each day my friend.

Report Post Tip

First things first TempCharacter, the thing you have quoted actually says "Ballad Of Fallen Angels". This has absolutely nothing to do with Los Angeles.

I am going to say this outright - if the dead come back and start demanding respect, I won't be the one to say no. I quite like my brains not being in a zombies digestive system.

Now I am going to ask you a question. How respectful do you think it is, coming into the streets and misquoting a leader in an attempt to make him look bad?

Report Post Tip

Maybe my disconnect is that i do not fully understand what the quote in reference fully means to comprehend the level of severity. Maybe in private you can explain it to me so I may better understand?

On a side note, experience and negligence is not an excuse in my eyes. I have had to put down an amazing, loyal, member in the past for a comment he made at a rogue. That forced this persons bloodline go slowly drift away from this world, however it was required, even if he didn't fully know the expectations of us here.

Report Post Tip

Ok, perhaps I looked too hard into it I suppose.

And I am sorry Godfather DeadlySin, but Godfather Phil gave me his attention so I figured I would use his time the best I could. Not everyday a nobody like me gets an answer from not one, but two Godfathers.

Thank you for your replies. Stay classy.

Report Post Tip

You say Phil will never be trusted agian. Oh, that's the furthest thing from the truth. Godfather Steak has stayed tried and true to his real friends and alliances. I believe most of you have forgotten, he has been with Godfather Sin since the first days of Godfathers Sins upstart crew in Sin City. During that lenghty period of time, trust, understanding, and a unbreakable bound has cemented itself. I have no qualms with what occured, Godfather Steak has my support now, just as he's had it since the day he took my bloodline into his HQ.

Report Post Tip

Mudkip is disappointed with all the hate directed at godfather Steak.

'Really gentlemen? Godfather PS has served DS in war after war , helped in hunting rogue after rogue and has defended his city and his allies cities.'

Mudkip looks to see if anyone is still listening and chuckles

It is so easy to stand in judgement after the fact, but i wonder if any of those who stand here in the streets arguing the toss and pointing fingers would have acted any different to those who had to make decissions in recent days.

It sounds like a lot of sour grapes and infantile behaviour by those who just didn't get their wey. Whats next? you guys "gonna scweem and scweem til you're sick"? geez!

DS and PS did what had to be done and i take my hat off to them and give my humble rememberence to those that fell, my father being one of the fallen.

To clear the smoke and reply to TempCharacters comment. I see how someone could mistake something, quickly passing by unable to get a full look while escorted by several gaurds following me around.  I may not always use a war suit, but when I do I like to be classy. But I would never add something to myself showing such disrespect to the city of Los Angeles. It was a tough battle and a long tiring night.

Takes a flask from his space suit, raising it to the sky. Tipping the flask he lets out some of the whiskey, draining it out onto the ground. Then takes a few long swigs to pay his respects to the fallen from the war of all cities.

Echoing most of teh sentiments expressed here, I really didn´t like that we had to go down this road. But once you hear that people are seriously plotting to take you out... what else can you do?

They put a hell of a fight and I many of then even died with a smile on their face having FUN in their last hours. Wars are always much more enjoyable than mere takedowns. Even though the losses are far greater, the adrenaline rushes and having to stay alert and awake for so many hours is what many people get ready for week after week of training and patience.
