One Eyed Jack pt 2 Started by: anima on Jun 14, '13 12:18

As anima wakes up in the morning he sees a crowd gathering outside of his apartment.

"Ahh, I see you guys are enjoying my story.  I was going to go out for a few, but let's go ahead and get back into it."

Pouring himself a glass of scotch, and lighting up a cigar anima begins to continue his story.

Jacks family had no idea what was coming.  His father had been working in the compound all day, and his mother had flown to do business in another town.  Jack was on his way home from school when it all began.

SCCCCRRREEEAAACCCHHH

Rubber tires yelled at the road like it had taken their lunch money.  A large black van was barreling down on Jacks position.

Even though Jack was only 16, his father had kept no secrets from him.  He was very aware of the business his father did, and the company he had to keep in order to keep that business thriving to support his family.  Jack knew that one day all of this would be his, and on the way there likely many would want to stop him.  Jack had been training for a situation like this.  Ever since he was 8 years old he's been working with a fighting coach.  Since 10 he's had full access to the largest weight room known to man.  Jack felt prepared.

The van pulled over and 8 large men jumped and attempted to grab Jack. Jack managed to break the arms of the first two goons to come after him, but eventually he was grabbed from behind.  You see, no matter of preparation matters when you're half the size of the 8 people trying to drag you into a van. After being drugged Jack passed out, and did not wake up until he was tied to a chair in what looked like a very very large warehouse.

Marauder had a plan.  He knew that if he left and Jacks father found him, this game would certainly be up.  He had to make him come to the warehouse.  Alone.  So that is exactly what Marauder asked of Jacks father.  He wanted Jacks father to meet at a central location alone where he'd be driven to the warehouse to see his son and set up negotiations with Marauder. Marauder promised that Jacks father would be able to leave the warehouse safely.  Knowing full and well that his father would never accept these terms Jack yelled at Marauder.

"Do you think my father is a fool?  Do you really think he'll come out here?  You're an idiot who's insides will be plastered across these walls soon enough."

"No, I don't think this letter will convince your father to come." Marauder responded.  "We'll have to give him added incentive."

Looking at his henchmen, Marauder yelled "HOLD HIM DOWN!"

That was the last time Jack would look out of his right eye.

After receiving the note and the attached gift Jacks father lost all control.  He set up a rendezvous party to follow the car that would take him where he was going.  He had been given a guarantee that he'd be able to walk away but he was very skeptical.

"I need snipers on the surrounding roofs.  When I give the signal I want you to blast that fuckers head into oblivion."

The night of the exchange came, and the men prepared to do battle.  The father was escorted to the meeting zone and then driven to the warehouse, where Marauder sat waiting for him.

As he walked into the building his father saw Jack, sitting in a chair passed out from exhaustion with a bandage over where his eye had once been.  Jacks father had seen plenty of things, but this made him shudder.

As he walked towards Marauder, the henchmen across the room all circled in behind him.

"Well, now that you've got me here.  I've just got to say.  This was an awful plan."  Jacks father said as he raised his hand to the air.

What came next came as a surprise to the Jacks father.  There were no gunshots.  There was no blood.  Nothing happened.  Nothing at all.  Instead, he was left standing in the middle of 10 men with his hand in the air like a damn fool.

"Oh, I suppose you were expecting your men to shoot me right there.  Ya, they might have done that if I hadn't killed them first."

Plop was the sound of his first lieutenants body hitting the floor.  After that all that could be heard was the gunfire of 9 guns all making Jacks fathers body resemble Swiss cheese.  After his father finally collapsed Marauder turned to his first lieutenant.

"Kill the boy, and let's begin our empire!" He said with a devilish grin.

But as the men went to get Jack they realized the chair where he was sitting was empty.

shhhoop

The first lieutenants body hit the ground like a bag of bricks.  The 8 other bodies were quick to follow.

Jack let out his breath after the last henchman went down as he re-positioned the sniper rifle to take out Marauder.  This would certainly his last day alive.  But as he went to move the gun into place he was only met with an empty seat.  Marauder had gotten away.

Finishing his glass of scotch, anima takes the last few puffs of his cigar.

"Well, folks.  At least you know why he's one-eyed now.  Seems we're going to have make this a trilogy.  See you tomorrow."

Well we now know how he lost his eye, but that Marauder needs what coming to him. if i had seen who had killed my father, trust me, i wouldn't have shot his henchmen first, my first shot would have been straight between his eyes.

I must say, this Marauder is perhaps smarter than i first thought, but perhaps not smart enough for young Jack? he now has a personal vendetta against Marauder, he needs vengeance for his father.

Great story keep going for the tilogy.
