Rough morning after - Part 2 - Revenge Started by: Dalton on Jul 15, '13 13:23

Quite some time had passed, since the assault on Dalton's home, and the theft of his tribute, but it had not been forgotten. The tribute would no doubt never get recovered, fully anyway, but retribution would be acted out, and the Durden Crew would definitely pay, most likely with their lives.

Dalton had since installed a safe, and posted bodyguards, so that there would never be a repeat performance. The Z Fighters had been gathering information on The Durdens, and noticed that a seemingly never ending stream of them constantly plagued the city. Some of the intelligence they had gathered, suggested a safe-house in South Philly, and Dalton figured this would be a great spot to start.

He decided to scout it out first, so they could best plan the inevitable attack, and left a message for Cristo to meet him a block away from the alleged safe-house.

Report Post Tip

Dalton had brought two of his most trusted bodyguards, to stay with the car, and be ready to drive away at a moments notice. This was going to be recon only, this time. They needed to know what they would be heading into, so they could formulate the best mode of attack.

The safe-house was supposedly in behind one of the local butcher shops. The owner obviously would have to be taught a lesson as well, for disrespecting the local crew by harboring these Durdens.

Dalton left the bodyguards in charge of the car and moved to a bench across the street from the butcher shop, picked up a discarded newspaper, and pretended to read, as he waited for Cristo to arrive, watching the entrance to the shop, and the ally-way beside it as discretely as he could.

Report Post Tip

After watching for around 15 minutes with no activity to speak of, Dalton looked down the street in the direction of his parked vehicle. Still seeing no sign of Cristo, Dalton decided he would attempt to get closer, and see what he could find out. This was just recon, so he wouldn't tip his hand just yet.

Dalton started across the street, watching both ways, and as he got closer, he could hear talking coming from the alley-way beside the shop. He stuck the newspaper under his arm, and bent to one knee at the corner of the building, pretending to tie his shoe. The voices were loud enough for him to make out now.

I don't know why they keep sending more guys. We just keep losing. (low muttered curses)

Stop complaining. We'll gain ground eventually. Lets get back inside.

Dalton stood to his feet and walked across the alley-way, turning and catching a glimpse of the entrance they had used, between two garbage bins. Not wanting to be caught in the open like this, Dalton made his way to the end of the block slowly, then crossed the street and returned back to his original position on the bench. He looked once more at his watch, and wondered what was keeping Cristo.

Report Post Tip

After doing a few things for the family Cristo had received the message from Dalton saying that it was time. Feeling a rush of excitement overwhelming him Cristo couldn't wait to help Dalton get his vengeance. Having been gathering intelligence on the Durdens for a while it was finally time to act. Realizing that he needed to calm down a bit, he could not show up to help Dalton recon the area with the jitters, Cristo took a few moments to calm down before departing to the meet up.

Arriving late as hell Cristo noticed Dalton sitting on the park bench, Cristo makes his way over to the bench and sits down next to Dalton, Pulling out his empty flask and pretending to take a drink, the simple action calming the last of his jitters away. Looking at the possible hang out of the Durdens Cristo says to Dalton.

Sorry about being late, had to calm down a lot didn’t want to show up and have my nerves tip them off. Have you spotted anything unusual about the joint. If we don't spot anything, should we go in and pump the butcher for some information?

Taking another swig of the empty flask and lighting up a cig, Cristo sits and watches the people walking by, but keeps his attention on the building that they were watching.

Report Post Tip

Dalton and Cristo got caught up as they sat on the bench, keeping a close eye on the comings and goings to and from the butcher shop. It wasn't long before a large non-descriptive truck pulled into the alley, making its way behind the shop.

Cristo, watch my back. I'm going to get closer. I wanna see what they are doing with that truck.

They crossed the street, Dalton making his way into the alley, past the entrance to the Durden hideout, inching his way toward the rear corner of the building to get a better look at the truck.

Report Post Tip

Following Dalton across the street, Cristo keeps his eye on Dalton and the entrance to the Durden hideout to make sure that nobody come up behind them, while Dalton is checking out the truck. Posting up on the entrance of the ally so he can watch both his partner and the hideout.

Report Post Tip

Dalton looked behind him one last time, signaling to Cristo to watch the alley entrance. He couldn't afford to be boxed in. The truck engine had quieted, and he could hear voices.

Hurry up and get this shit unloaded, and be careful. This stuff is worth a ton on the street.

Dalton could feel his excitement rise, as his heart started to beat faster. He waited just long enough to make sure there were only the driver of the truck, and the two he had heard at the entrance from before. 3 vs 2...good odds when you have the jump on someone. They deserved to be jumped, after what they did at his apartment.

He motioned for Cristo to come closer, so he could relay his plan to jump these fucks.

Report Post Tip

Cristo, walks over to Dalton keeping a look out for anything strange, He could see the excitement gleaming from Dalton eyes. Wondering what was on Dalton's mind that would cause so much excitement Cristo was eager to find out.

Report Post Tip

Dalton waited until Cristo was close enough to hear a low whisper. He couldn't afford to tip their hand early, and let the Durdens get the drop on them instead. He knew this was going to be risky, but he had only seen the two men, since he came there earlier, while waiting for Cristo to arrive.

He whispered his plan to Cristo, after taking another quick peek around the corner. The men were bickering, over whether the driver should have to help unload the truck. Dalton got a much needed piece of information. There was no one else in the safehouse for them to worry about.

He told Cristo to enter the building, and make his way to the loading dock where the Durdens planned to unload the truck, and wait for his signal. Then they would pincer attack from both directions, with no worry of a crossfire. As soon as Cristo heard the first shot, he was to fire.

Dalton put a hand firmly on Cristo's shoulder.

You can do this. You're ready. This shit's about to get real.

Report Post Tip

Listening to Dalton's plan put a massive smile on Cristo's face, He was excited for this, revenge for Dalton and letting the Durden's know not to mess with the family.

Alright Dalton I got this I will listen for your shots then light them up from my side

Drawing his gun Cristo heads through the building keeping a look out for any extra bodies that might be there, Cristo makes his way to the loading dock and finds a spot between some crates for cover that he can see the people unloading the truck and get some shots of from. Taking aim on his victim Cristo waiting for the shot. Watching the men struggle to unload the truck put a grin on his face. Their last action will be struggling for something they are going to loose.

Report Post Tip

Dalton counted silently to himself, giving Cristo enough time to get into position, while keeping a close eye on the 3 men and the truck. His heart was beating slightly faster, and he could feel the adrenaline surging through his veins.

He double checked his .38, since the last thing he needed was a gun mishap just as he started shooting. Confident that Cristo would be in position, Dalton waited until the driver was on the other side of the truck where he would  most likely be in Cristo's crosshairs. He then leaned around the corner to aim at the Durden he could see best, who was backing down the ramp of the truck holding one end of a crate.

The shot rang out much louder than Dalton had expected, most likely because he was trying to stay as silent as possible for the last while. The Durden he had shot at stood dead in his tracks, quite literally, as a trickle of blood began to show from his temple. The shot had echoed, so he wasn't sure if Cristo had fired yet, or if he was hearing the echoed report of his own weapon.

Dalton soon got his answer, as the driver stumbled across the alley clutching his chest before collapsing in a heap barely feet away. The one Dalton had shot fell first to his knees, as the crate slipped from his grasp and splintered into many pieces and keys of cocaine slid down the ramp around him.

At this point, Dalton heard a muffled gasp come from the trailer of the truck. He called out to Cristo as he ran over to the rear of the truck.

Cover the other side! He has nowhere to run!

Hey! You in the back of the truck! Throw your weapon out here, or your getting the same treatment.
