JonnyBeRed woke up this morning thinking it was going to be a day like many others. He had a particularly tricky account with which he had been wrestling at the office, and it did cost him some sleep over it as he couldn't get the problem out of his head during the night. He had a good idea where the problem was (accounts payable, he thought), and was actually looking forward to getting in to his office to investigate the issue further. As he walked down the sidewalk on the West Side of Chicago toward the small, unassuming office he called JonnyBeRed's Accountant's, LLC, he was struck by something. Not an idea, mind you, but an actual object hit him in the head. It was a small gift, complete with wrapping paper. He bent down and picked it up, and looked around to see from where it had come. He saw nothing. He decided to put the mysterious package into his overcoat pocket. As he slid his hand in, he noticed a paper that he didn't remember putting there. He read it. It was personalized, and it invited him to a competition in three weeks' time. It had his name on it, and it even included a fairly accurate bank account balance at the bottom. Putting the paper back into his pocket, Jonny looked around again, this time with some worry. He was, after all, just a bookkeeper! He wasn't used to all this subterfuge, even with the nature of most of his clients' business. Again, he saw nobody. He decided to hurry the rest of the way to his office. As he walked quickly, he was pelted in the head AGAIN by a small, wrapped package. Then another. And another. He was hit with five in all before he made it to his office. Each time, there was NOBODY near him on the street. JonnyBeRed was not a religious man, but as he sat down at his desk, pockets full of strange gifts, he looked up and (almost in a whisper) said: Thank you Gods, whoever you may be, for these gifts! |

Telkin blinked, unsure if the nuisance that was Kuku was serious or not. Shrugging, Telkin lit a cigarette and reflected upon his morning. He had woke up in a foul mood, but after having spent a few hours in his bar located in Detroit, his spirits were in a much better place. He wasn't sure if it was due to no longer being exhausted, or if the credit was entirely on the weed he'd smoked and the alcohol he'd consumed. Either which way, Telkin too had been blessed by the Gods of the world with a few Gifts on this day and he was glad that Jonny had given them a proper thanks, for many people took them for granted. Grinning, Telkin stood up next to Jonny. "I also would like to shout out my thanks for these wonderful Gifts, they are certainly much appreciated!" |

Rose was walking through her garden before she headed into work, taking her time enjoying the sweet aromas blending together, when she noticed a couple of neatly wrapped gifts, with an envelope attached to one. She glanced around seeing no one at the moment, she cautiously reached down and picked up the envelope. Reading carefully every detail of this competition her eyes began to light up and she smiled. This sounded very exciting and would be her first competition. Rose then looks down to the gifts, still smiling as these were unexpected as well, she opens them with enthusiasm. Such generous gifts deserve much gratitude and appreciation as does every other gift she has received. She looks around still seeing no one but her in the garden, Rose smiles as she whispers a soft thank you .
