Such a bastardised version of the real quote..

Its actually "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Although other acceptable paraphrases are;

• Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
• Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes.
• Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it.
• Those who fail to learn from the mistakes of their predecessors are destined to repeat them.
• Those who do not know history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them.

So I guess you got close to one of them.

Tepid is feeling rather peckish today, food is all that's on his mind, he must have worked up an appetite somewhere along the lines, but he can't remember where. It surely wasn't the prostitutes, they were done and dusted now, life was becoming too hectic for him to carry that on, besides... He had someone else anyway. After grabbing a quick sandwich from a cafe he not long passed, he walks down the block only to notice two men talking, he didn't really care what they were talking about, but he did hear the numbers three zero three. He'd seen those numbers somewhere before but couldn't quite put his finger on it, checking his pockets, he unravels a note.

Glancing over Mandalore's shoulder and on to his notepad to confirm the results, Ox breathed a sigh of relief.

"The answer is zero!" Ox shouted as he looked up to see no one near him. It appeared the crowd had moved down the street to watch two hobos wrestle over a half-eaten sandwich.
