Regarding the Unsponsored Mafiosi Started by: Oliver_McTavish on Oct 28, '07 03:39
Many a great tragedy has befallen our world in the past forty-eight hours. We have seen the rise of a rogue and the death of many esteemed Crew Leaders. While I wish I had the time to explain exactly what happened behind each death, I do have other pressing matters I have to attend to at the moment.

What I can say is this- we are in a time of turmoil. Left with only two families standing, our world will see some major changes within the next day or so. In the mean time, do not shoot at any of the unsponsoreds roaming our streets at this time.

It is not their fault they have been left stranded by the actions taken tonight. If I catch wind that someone is taking this opportunity to train their gun they will be dead. Trust you me- I will make the visit to see you myself if you fire your gun.

Do not think, unsponsoreds, that this gives you every right to fire your own gun at the two standing families. If you do so you will also be removed forcibly from our streets to be found at a later date behind a pile of trash.

Scandia and I will be discussing new auths for crews as soon as possible- in the mean time, try to be as calm as possible. Play nice, or at least, as nice as a bunch of Mafiosi can play.
Report Post Tip
Of course, this wouldn't have been a problem if you hadn't shot my father.

I say THIS IS a fault of the current leadership and if she tries to tell you otherwise, she is lying.

I say you KILL all of these unsponsereds, because if it hadn't been for the wackhappy speaker, most of you would have a home.
Report Post Tip
Your father was shot for aiding a rogue in a ridiculous bid for power. In my opinion, none of his members deserve protection. However, I will stand by what Mr McTavish has said here.

Granted, anyone considered a threat will be killed, as will those that show disrespect in funerals or in the streets. Just because we are with so few leaders, does not mean this is a time to forget that we are Mafiosi. Act like it and you'll be treated accordingly.
Report Post Tip
No disrespect intended here...its too the point that most of us who have died several times in the last few days....just plain dont care anymore...granted you can debate all day and night about whose wrong and whose right...In the meantime the masses are dying in theyre sleep....alot of them having invested a major amount of time and effort. We expect to be dead when we awake. Its all just a manner of opinion in the end. You can look down your nose at them if you like.

Look around...all your going to have left too fire at is your own protected families..Wheres the leadership skills in that senario?
Report Post Tip
What ever happened to good old fashioned negotiations?

When did we stop sitting around a table and talking out problems until all solutions had been exhausted and war was a last resort?

That was the way of our ancestors, to protect our families at all costs. Not take them into wars that they are then told to ask no questions about.

I have walked around these streets for days now in my black attire, burying my friends and quite frankly it is not only the dead that have had enough.
Report Post Tip
When someone sets up a headquarters without permission, there is no negotiation. That person and anyone that chooses to aid the rogue will be killed, as has been demonstrated over the last two days' actions. Going rogue, no matter what the circumstance, is disrespectful to all of those in leadership positions and is threatening. The reasons CLs are authorized is to avoid unknown agendas which may be dangerous to established families.

As for the unsponsored, you can clearly see that Mr McTavish and Mr Scandia have agreed to protect them while arranging for new leaders to set up their headquarters. Unless you have done something wrong, you are safe. I can say with absolute conviction that no one in my family will take a shot at any unsponsored without reason (and express permission) and not pay for their mistake with their lives.
Report Post Tip
This is the mafia.

Power is taken, not given. If a rogue pops up, it is almost always with the expressed intention of causing trouble. You don't do it if you don't want to cause trouble, because you know you'll either die for it, or have to kill a lot of people. If any rogue succeeds, then they've tipped the balance of power, and could quite possibly become the new authority, and that is the aim of many, I believe, whether they choose to admit it or not. Lets face it, nobody wants to die, right?

So most rogues would secretly, or not so secretly, love to win outright and claim the power for themselves.

That means that from time to time there will be those willing to aide a rogue, so that they are in "good" with them if they win.

*Slevin thumbs his nose, and continues.*

If someone does aide a rogue, and is found out, there can only be one course of action. They must die. To put it simply, anyone aiding the rogues are directly helping to upset the balance of power, and if you're the one holding that power, then there really is no other choice for you but to use it and make an example of the traitor.

Yes, I used the word traitor. When someone tries to stab you in the back, directly or indirectly, then that is what they are.

I don't see what the fuss is about.
Report Post Tip
I understand the whole concept of the rogue thing in this instance but in reply to the previous speaker I was reffering to my life as a whole since arriving on these shores.

I have buried 5 bosses, and seen countless more fall before even making their mark. Because of this many unsponsoreds are dying daily in their sleep.

I am quite sure many of these deaths could have prevented with a little more negotiations from their leaders.
Report Post Tip
Witchyx, I'm certain that negotiations would have worked in some situations, but chances are it would have only prolonged the death of whichever crew leaders ended up in the obituaries.

I believe in negotiations for most scenarios. The crew leaders have been working together for some time, and I don't refer solely to the remaining two, but also to previous leaders during the time my father was part of those making decisions. So much discussed goes unseen by the many, but if they had not been working together, I can guarantee (as well as anyone can guarantee the outcome of a counterfactual) that there would have been wars more frequently.
Report Post Tip
There are many forms of negotiation.

Some involve sitting around a table, being civil with one another, and talking things out.

Sometimes though, all that would achieve is bullshit and false promises. In those cases, you negotiate by taking out your pistol and punching some new holes in people.

Your father was shot for aiding a rogue in a ridiculous bid for power.

Oh come on, you think my father did what he did for power? You are completely wrong. From what I have learned from my father's diaries, is that he was trying to get rid of the excess leadership. One of them, Ms. Deluca, had set up without proper auth. Oliver and I had already talked about a plan to kill her later this week. The other one, Sprozza, had a fucked-up family to say the least. His RHM openly disrespected me in the street. He would by-pass me and kill a member of my own family (Which someone's RHM did). His overall family slacked, to say the least. His arrogance was superfluous. You and I both know that.

I was planning on warring both soon enough, and IP popped up announcing she had the same plans. Who am I to say no to help?

Oliver's reasons for killing my father are sad. He claims he killed me, because my family had kept helping the "Rogue" after my mission was accomplished. Almost 3 hours after I finished, my father's family was being shot down. Why? Because my family, while I was having a nap, had pro'd the rogue once or twice. Surely that isn't war worthy? I would have simply HQ'd them when I woke up. Or better yet, you guys could have trained your gun on her "Pro'ers". But no, you attack my father's whole family. The innocent and the guilty and all inbetween.

To make the outcome even better, my Dad had even MENTIONED of pro'er or two from other families. Scandia, Polpot, Oliver's, you name it!

In my opinion, none of his members deserve protection.

What did the ones that were offline the whole time and did nothing? They didn't do everything wrong. But like the old saying goes, the ones in power make the rules. Too bad that isn't you.

However, I will stand by what Mr McTavish has said here.

Keep acting like you have a different choice please, it's really amusing.

Going rogue, no matter what the circumstance, is disrespectful to all of those in leadership positions and is threatening.

I wasn't disrespected. Lucks, you keep acting like you are a family head. It's quite nice.

(Note: I didn't read through this, so I don't care if there are minor grammar errors.)
Report Post Tip
Sorry, I misread my father's diaries. It's a little scratched out where it says "Polpots", I think it says ElanaDeluca.

My apologies.

God, how I loathe arguing with the self-righteous children of deceased leaders.

Your father, FlyingFetus, aided a rogue. It does not matter how you try to justify it by your father's supposed intentions. His deeds are partially to blame for the homeless situation that we are now facing yet again.

Furthermore, your father clearly deserved to be removed from power for being unable to control his own family. You claim that you were unaware that your crew members were prowacking -IcePrincess-. Well, any competant leader would have mandated his or her members either sleep or fly to avoid being mistaken for prowackers. I know my family did just that. Anyone suspected of prowacking should have been punished. I worked with your father during our hunts for prowackers, and he assured me that there was no one in his family that could have possibly been assisting the rogue. I know members of my family were punished as suspects.

I have every right to act like a family head within reason--I'm speaking on behalf of Mr McTavish. That is why I am in the position that I am. You, however, are a civilian and have no right to be speaking to me as you are.

Anything else?
Report Post Tip
FlyingFetus, if all else fails, if you refuse to believe all other motives, Then how about this:

Your father was a disgrace of a Leader

You talk about my father's Right Hand being disrespefctul. Now, was that just out of the blue? Or was it more a direct result of you being disreespectful to a CL, albeit a dead one, who was your superior in every way. It was the only instance you were seen to act like a Leader: You do something, and the population will mimick it.

Tell me one thing, even had all this not happened, had there been no rogue, had ElenaDeLuca been alive, and had my father, Sprozza been alive; what defence could you possibly give so your father should have kept his CL position for any more length of time?
Report Post Tip
God, how I loathe arguing with the self-righteous children of deceased leaders.

My father hated them too.

His deeds are partially to blame for the homeless situation that we are now facing yet again.

How can someone blame me, when my father wasn't the one who put the bullet in his head?

Furthermore, your father clearly deserved to be removed from power for being unable to control his own family.

You and I both know that nobody can not control the "Plebs."

You claim that you were unaware that your crew members were prowacking -IcePrincess-.

What? I have members? And you call yourself a story teller, etc. My father knew my members were pro-wacking IP. He told some of them to. He, apparently, thought they would stop after he left. My father had some problems with the FBI and *had* to be flown out of this country immediately.

Well, any competant leader would have mandated his or her members either sleep or fly to avoid being mistaken for prowackers.

My father told them to not follow the rogue. If they chose to, it was their risk.

I know my family did just that.

My father claimed he did it too. How is your family's mass mail better than his family's mass mail? I dont understand why you are even bothering saying that.

Anyone suspected of prowacking should have been punished.

Ok, what if a senior member in your HS with 50+ kills is in the city of the Rogue. Would you punish him/her? DOUBT IT.

I worked with your father during our hunts for prowackers, and he assured me that there was no one in his family that could have possibly been assisting the rogue.

That's because my father had a stone cold poker face. Nobody ever knew when he was lying. My father knew my family was pro'ing up and until he left the country. Only Oliver and He knew that his family was helping. Which proved to be his downfall.

I know members of my family were punished as suspects.

Names?

I have every right to act like a family head within reason—I’m speaking on behalf of Mr McTavish.

Sadly, she must have lost the RHM lottery.

That is why I am in the position that I am. You, however, are a civilian and have no right to be speaking to me as you are.

Indeed, You may kill me when I turn gangster, much like my father did with Zeb. I hope it makes you feel good.

Anything else?

Yeah, may I have a slice of pizza, a cheesesteak, and a medium fries? Oh, and a small pepsi.

Thanks, Lucks, I owe you one!

(Note: Did not read over this, my apologies for any grammar mistakes.)

Templar,

Apparently, since you are a mere Civilian, I don't have to answer to you.

I am *So* much better than you, because I am a soon to be RHM Civilian.

You lack skillz.
Report Post Tip
Ok, I only flicked through that but the points I can take from it:

IS someone with 50+ kills really going to a suspect for prowacking? PLEASE don't parade your lack of intelligence around. Further more, when/if they followed the pro wacker round, it's not just their risk, it was your father's. I thought that would be fairly evident by now.

....Oh, you big jest, someone in your family had 50+ kills?

I laugh at that. Oh how I laugh.
Report Post Tip
Actually, I'm a thug.

Please donn't parade your lack of intelligence around....again.
Report Post Tip
Oh LOL @ you Sprozza's son.

You are Hilarious. Notice I said "What if" in front of it.

Oh wonderful Sprozza's son. Your supidity amazes me.

….Oh, you big jest, someone in your family had 50+ kills?

Oh great Sprozza's son,(Notice the compliments, I like to stroke your already over inflated ego) where did I ever say someone in my family had 50+ kills. Merely an example, pleb.

....

Not really an accomplishment, but as long as you are happy, Templar, it makes me happy.
Report Post Tip
I like how you don't address my other points.

I also like how your "example" is completely irrelevant. Bravo.

On a side note, I hope you enjoy your position in italics, it sure as hell isn't gonna last as long as your bold stint, if lessons have been learned at all.
