OK here's the thing.  You know how we have some people designated to be pro'ers?  Well my suggestion is make it so you can send an invite to someone to be your pro'er.  Only MM and up can send the invite.  Once the invite is accepted it gives you a defense boost for both parties.  A tag that only the invitee and invited can see on their profile, such as who they are protecting or who is protecting them.  No one else will be able to see who's protecting you or who you are protecting.  Of course we will then need an option to fire our live action BG and to quit being a persons live action BG.  

So to recap:

Real pro'ers can be designated as someone's RL BG.

Will be able to send and or accept invites to be a RL BG 

Both parties will get some sort of defense boost.

Only people that can see you have a RL BG are the ones who you invite and the ones that accept your invite (BG tag of some sort on your profile or profile manager).

Also to add to it, maybe a vision boost for the BG as well?  I mean, his many blind bodyguards do you know? 

What are your thoughts/expansion/regression on how this should or could work?

I believe this is already in play but in a different format. Check your profile when Made Man+ under the loyalty option. It will show the option to 'take a bullet'. Let me find the thread for you.

That's only to protect your cl.  What I'm talking about it is anyone mm and above can have a LAB.  And selecting my loyalty doesn't give me a def or vision boost.  My suggestion is being a LAB give you that and you don't have to be a cl to get that kind of protection.

After reading that thread I know what you are saying...consider this an upgrade to that but you can protect other members instead if you wanted to go that route.

What happens when someone shoots at someone you are protecting. Do you take the bullet, do your BGs take it?

OK I understand your points about the boost.  Here's a suggestion though, get ready for the shocker...

What if we take away the bodyguards all together besides real accounts being body guards.  Which automatically makes it harder to kill you ONLY when who you are guarding gets shot at?  No more daily training drones and upkeep.  So no boosts unless its shots at your boss or who ever you're protecting.  Let's say say also as an optional feature to my suggestion that you can fire your real life BG if boss of said lab wanted you to go protect someone else.  It would be more realistic as far as bodyguards go instead of mindless drones you can't hold a conversation with.  If anything just get rid of the bg's and make taking a bullet gives you a defense boost?  That will make your survival depend on how loyal your members are and make you think twice about who you recruit...

That would be quite hard to do. There are a lot of real dollars out there in BG's, I don't see them just removing those BG's. Other options would be to allow no more BG purchases and if there are already a bunch of IWP out there I don't see that going over too well either because that could quickly turn into having a group of individuals no one can touch. Last and only truly logical option would be a full reset, but again there's a lot of real money out there that people would expect to be compensated for in some way once the reset has been done.
