A craze had hit the the gambling world. With all the casino's and money being made many of smart enterprising gangsters sought out to secure a piece of the pie for themselves. Uncle Joe Ligambi was one of these individuals. Uncle Joe had seen all the money rolling in from illegal dice and back room poker games and Joe was a gambling man himself who had been in charge of a long standing popular racket in the illegal gambling underworld. The Numbers game, the numbers game was everywhere when Joe was coming up in the streets. As a young man Joe would see scores of people bet anything they could at hopes of hitting their numbers with such high payouts. Even then Joe knew he wanted to carve out his piece of the action. Uncle Joe had began running the numbers in South Philly under the protection of his crew. The numbers game allowed people to place bets on the last three digits of Barbiturates, Heroin and Cocaine at the close of the local drug market in South Philly each day at 00:00:00. Uncle Joe took numbers from numerous daily bettors as he offered payouts at 500-1 odds. Practically none of his fellow mafiosi could resist. The numbers game was inexpensive to play and offered bettor's yet another possible source of income with potential for big payouts if they were lucky enough to hit there numbers. There were many who were not familiar with this traditional cosa nostra game.

Having come to the streets to see that Uncle Joe had brought his popular racket from out of the dark Tupac thought to himself he was going to have unwanted competition in his attempts to hit it big with the numbers. Being quite the gambler he sought to hit his numbers daily with the amazing payouts. Tupac often thought of the time he hit his numbers on a 25k bet and won 12.5M. It had proved to of been his best bet to date. Tupac would soon be seeing Uncle Joe with his daily picks as per usual. |

It had been awhile since Scarfo had made his way through the streets, in any city let alone his own. He'd been away on business back in Sicily and more or less kept a low profile since he got word the FBN were on his tail. His business associate Georgio had made a very direct request the FBN keep themselves out of their Dope Row business. A stick of dynamite in three separate cars outside certain officers houses hadn't exactly had the desired effect they wanted, and it meant Scarfo was out of the scene whilst the dust and debris settled. A local South Philly coffee shop was where Scarfo was seated in his first appearance for a good while. Across from him was Joseph_Ligambi, a South Philly made member, gambler and Daily Numbers game racket runner. Word had hit the streets regarding the racket and Scarfo just couldn't keep himself away from the action. It might've been in part due to his own gambling habit, yet more so odds and minimal bets made it an ideal way to scratch that vice itch without bleeding his pockets. Scarfo dug his hand into his black chalk-white pinstriped double breasted suit jacket, removing a thick envelope. The money contained therein and a slip of paper with his numbers slid across the coffee shop table inside the large white packaging, as he kept his attention on the head of the numbers game. A tip of the fedora followed before Scarfo stood, shook Uncle Joe's hand and gave him a kiss on each cheek. Scarfo buttoned his suit jacket closed then made his way out of the coffee house, followed by two dark suited men. This concluded their conversation on the well run Numbers racket and other possible ventures, and as Scarfo left the favourite chit chat spot he thought about how well Joe had been doing; he was a well respected member of the family and had ties to Scarfo's own forefathers. Business was ticking over nicely and South Philly had regained the lineage of one of their hardest earners and racket runners. Scarfo smirked as the black Ford V8 Carbiolet pulled away from the curb and began it's way back to The Spot. |

With the recent move The Capazzo Crime Syndicate to Detroit Uncle Joe's popular numbers game moved as well. Joe had been picking the daily winning numbers from Downtown Detroit since they set up shop, but some of his regulars felt that maybe the drawing wasn't as random as Ligambi had claimed. Uncle Joe believed in the age old saying, the customer was always right and wanted to appease even the few that would cast doubt over him or any of his legitimate businesses, especially his popular numbers game... Knowing that the numbers in the drug market were always random across the nation Joe would no longer solely draw the winning numbers in Dowtntown DT. Uncle Joe would now draw the winning numbers from whatever district in whatever state he was in at the time to ensure an extra level of randomness. Joe would then provide his daily bettors with the same proof and verification he always had. Joe had already paid out to a handful of lucky individuals who had managed to hit on their picks. He ran a honest business and wanted to keep it that way.
