I think the thing about Kuku is he can't stand not being in the limelight. He needs to be the center of the attention, even if the attention is negative.

Kuku understands that this is what it is: a game. Therefore he treats it like one. He posts a thread that will guarantee to get a response from someone and he thrives off it, as well as all the people who are laughing with him.

Jeddy does some roleplay stuff to fit in with the mainstreamers who are RPing in the OOC thread

Now.. wherewasI... oh yes! Being in the center of attention is merely a byproduct of his main objective and like I said, he's just here for a good time like any one of us. As a player, the moment you see this game as a job instead of a source of entertainment is when you need to step back for a minute. There are those that hate the man personally because they assume he acts online as he does in real life which is an absolute no.

Jeddy pretty much nailed it. Kuku is a good guy. Based on my talks with him (very few) he seems the type that will bend over backwards to help you IRL. 

In game, he is mostly the center of attention. He is incredable in the streets. Most of the game sees him as an attention seeker hell bent on stirring trouble.

Truth is, he plays the game how its supposed to be played. Which is the one thing i have always respected about him.

He's been playing the retard for years now and it's just fucking dull. One-dimensional, delusion clap-trap. I don't think I'd mind seeing him playing the idiot if he ever played any other sort of character. Years ago during the Roman era I actually teamed up with Kuku... well, a group I was part of started dealing with him and he was pulling the same crap then. How long ago was the Roman era? 

I have close friends who think highly of him and have tried to get me to meet him irl so they can show me that he's 'not that bad of a guy'. But to me,  he's played the ass-clown for so long that I'd just smack him in the teeth before he even uttered a word which isn't going to solve anything.

Holy crap. I haven't read so much nonsense in all my life.

He plays it like a game, granted. He doesn't play it like a 1930s Mafia RPG, though. So, how does he play it like its meant to be played? By trolling constantly and speaking lies all the time to simply get attention in the streets?

I personally don't give a toss about the character Kuku, he's an irrelevance that over the years I've ended up just ignoring because of how each bloodline decides to act. I'm entirely certain the man behind the keyboard is very different, but tbh I'm not one bit bothered about the man behind the computer simply as his character has never made me want to get to know him. We have mutual friends which makes me think he's a genuine nice guy, but its not easy for the many others in this game to think this way about him when his characters are always completely idiotic (even if so intentionally).

I will entirely agree with your opening comment though; Jeddy nailed it. Especially with his last comment.

I admire Kuku for the ability to get such a reaction, even if it's a negative reaction.

Kuku knows just like everyone else knows, that at the end of the day this game is just that...  a game.

and as Jeddy said, If you lose the balance between a game and reality, then its time to take a step away for awhile.

Im willing to bet that if you gave Kuku a reason to play seriously (and i mean genuinely) he could build a beast account that could give some of us, who build beast accounts on a regular basis, a run for our money. 

But as far as i know (and thats very little, so i may be wrong) and have read in the streets, from his own threads and that of others, he hasnt built a truely serious account since roman and Prem where running the game. 

but like I said, i dont know much about his bloodline other than what i have seen since i started playing this game a couple years ago, which is to say, i havent seen him do much, if anything at all in those couple years. 

On that note Altair about giving Kuku a reason to play seriously, Kuku spoke highly of Curtis, "He is running the game how a true Godfather should" and during my shenanigans had no interest of dicking with NY directly, but was okay with Philadelphia as was pretty much everyone else I approached. So you are correct in that if Kuku did have the motivation to play seriously, he would. The man is not and idiot.

Well now, what would you say about someone who, for example, spends 8 or 10 hours a day building an account, growing a crew, then a city, to the point were they were a role-playing Godfather, demanding respect from underlings and wielding huge imaginary power.

I will ignore the deliciously ripe typos and concentrate on the content.  The idea behind the game, I believe, is IzzyCreamCheese's.  He has created a platform from which people can create a world of  their choosing (subject to some rules, of course).

Some people, alas, fail to grasp that it is a game.  I recall one person threatening to stab another on a thread, quite some time ago.  The excitable KevinOwens right here on this thread, adopting a classic internet tough guy stance, actually said he would punch me (SUCCESS!)

Let's face it, what really, really pisses the TommyAngelo's and KevinOwen's of this world off is that we inhabit the same space but I have no interest in what they do and in fact find it rather amusing.  Now, the difference between those type of guys and me is that quite frankly, this game has never made me angry - and their personalities are such that they can't handle being laughed at.  Even when a ghastly now former admin cheated and then banned me from IRC, it didn't make me angry.  It just gave me more impetus to continue doing what I do.

In this entire game, from Izzy on down, there isn't a single person I wouldn't meet up with IRL for a bit of craic.

I essentially do what I like and like what I do.  

As for building a beast account, even if I wanted to, I simply don't have the time to devote to it.  For those that haven't been at the top table, very few large scale CLs regret when they are finally taken down - they feel relief.  It isn't easy.
