The New York to Chicago Connection. Started by: Doc_Holliday on May 22, '16 00:19

The crisp night air stung just a tad to the lungs. There was a sea of overflowing bustle and rush on the weekend in this part of town. Never had John seen such a busy place since Tombstone. Never had he been this far east in so long. It wasn't anything like Philadelphia, and it surely wasn't Pittsburgh. No, there was something about this place that made it unique to the eye. Never had he ever seen buildings so high, that reached to such unfathomable heights. As much as he loved his new found home in Chicago, there was nothing quite like this, nothing that compared to this sight. This place was truly what they bragged about when speaking of the American Dream. This was the heartland of America's new prime quick buck and there was more than one way to get there.

However before work could be made, it was about high time that Doc got some sort of drink in his system. That six hour flight from Chicago to New York is a boring one. No matter how high class you make it, it's not something you wana do too often, less ya' out for a quick dollar or have family out here with the means to go about to and from. In this case, it was a hopeful start of something new, but that'd take a long and hard time to start before even thinking about profit. No, tonight was a night meant to be spent in a nice speakeasy, with a fine whisky in hand. Nothing but a night meant to be wasted away with a fistful of dollars.

After an hour or so of just wandering and canvasing likely places, Doc had stumbled upon a likely area, and with a grateful tip and some rather sly eavesdropping for a password, Doc now found himself in the middle of a rather lively and interesting bar hidden away in the heart of Manhattan. A number of figures stuck out but nothing out right yet. So he huddled himself near the bar and took to just watching the party thrive. His sun-kissed eyes were not for this kind of lighting but, a good drink was a good drink. Something he wasn't going to pass up after a trip like that.
