Kickstart to Insanity Started by: KittikuGaming on Oct 30, '16 06:42

A dark night slowly breaking into the soft glow of daylight. A young girl wearing a simple outfit, black and red sailor girl outfit. She was young with white hair, a gun holstered at her side. Stepping out of the  alley from a long night of waiting for the go ahead for a rendezvous with her new group, unmarked and without a leader. She would stare up at the sky and slowly walk along the slowly sinking shadows until she made it to the spot, pulling out a small torn and crumpled piece of paper indicating the spot, back of the first alley on South first ave. She looked around waiting and pressed her back to the cold walls of the building to her right, with a soft sigh she looked around. Humming faintly, she folded her arms under her chest and tapped her index finger on her bicep. She closed her crimson colored eyes, as she waited, only to open them when the sound of approaching foot steps came close and stopped.

"Aye, Dark Kitty, you sure got here early." A tall man spoke putting a face near her's. Kittiku looked at the man as she spoke plainly, "Yeah rather be early then counted as dead right, Chert?" The man scoffed at her question and looked back towards the entrance, "Why did we agree to meeting here... The man is late already as it is." Kittiku looked in the direction before turning her vision towards the sky, "Maybe he got caught up in some action."

With the next few hours slowly creeping past, the two stood waiting. Kittiku had closed her eye's but suddenly opened them when Chert had grabbed her wrist starting to pull her from the wall, "He have to leave now.... That man was not one of us!" She could not believe what she was hearing at first. The wailing of police car's coming closer, she moved swiftly her wrist turning red from the grip Chert had on her. She spoke loud enough for him to hear her, "This is why I said do not want to trust anyone."

She ran with him for what seemed like hour's before they reached a small park. Thankfully it was busy so they were hidden ever so slightly, she would bend forward holding her knee's and taking a deep breath as they needed a breather. They waited for a while knowing full well by the time the sun went down they would have to move again. "We wont be fooled again, right Chert?" The man gave a curt nod before leaning up against the tree and watching the sun slowly transition to the fade the light out to black. She put her hands on her hips and kicked a small stone before thinking about where they should head next.

By the time night came around they were heading to their next location which was in a broken down shack. Figuring they could get their equipment. They planned on taking the long route, knowing they would lose anyone who tried to follow them. Once they made it to the shack they started gathering their items. Mainly the necessities as they could always gather the unneeded items again.

Once ready they turned opened the door, since the windows were covered and holes in the building was stuffed with fabric's, no lights would enter in. Cops surrounded the building, Chert was first out of the building as a bullhorn sounded "Hands were we can see them." They did as instructed but they had a plan. They ran, not knowing or fearing, they knew they would rather die by a bullet then be caught. As they ran they heard the sound of pistols being shot, and Chert seemed to stumble before his adrenaline caught up to him. Kittiku felt a stinging pain and a cold feeling run past her neck but ignored it.

They ran for a while and hid knowing that running forever was going to tire them out fast. Taking shelter behind the dumpster in a alley they took turns keeping watch. Kittiku checked her wounds finding she was grazed on the neck by a bullet. Chert had taken one to the left shoulder. Kittiku slept longer then she should of waking up and looking around, the sunlight blazing and lightening up the day. Chert was missing.

She waited for a few hours before gathering her own back and sneaking out of the alley. She walked a few blocks and looked down every alley and street. Finding herself further down the road she stood shocked, the man she was with was laying face down on the ground in a pool of blood. She clenched her fist and hurried over to him, gathered up the ammo she had made him carry. Before leaving she spoke her final word to him. "Farewell." She ran off knowing she would not be in the right to be caught, she refused to let it become her fate. The gear's in her head had already stopped turning a long time ago. She was not straight minded, but unsound in the head, hiding it fairly well.

Hours had passed, and the dark of night fell upon the city of angels. cutie could admit, it was pretty stupid of her to be walking home by herself but else was she supposed to do? Her friends aren't out this late. She continued her walk through the streets of LA. It was empty. Not a soul in sight. She quickened her pace just in case someone was in the dark. "Dammit." cutie cursed under her breath. She tripped.

"Geez, watch where you're laying dude."

He didn't say anything. cutie rolled her eyes and stood up, brushing herself off. Her shirt felt cold and sticky. She couldn't really see what it was because of the darkness. There was a dark puddle pooling next to his head. cutie frantically looked around for a telephone box. As she walked over to one which was conveniently right next to the dumpster he was laying at, she flicked on her flashlight, shining it near the mans head. "Oh my goodness." cutie gasped. Her hand shivered. The man was dead. cutie didn't know whether to scream or call the police headquarters. Her conscious goes with the police.

"LA Police Headquarters. What's your emergency?"

cutie's voice starts to become choked up. "I tripped over a man, and he's dead..."

"Okay ma'am, what is your address?"

"1746 Hill Street." cutie told her. Still shaking, she left the phone hanging in the telephone box. Who would kill someone and leave their body on the sidewalk? It was obvious he was killed. He had 4 bullets in his head. Whoever did this was extremely ruthless. cutie saw a piece of red fabric nearby, and she grabbed it knowing that it could lead to something else.

Suddenly, the sound of a man's voice alarmed cutie. "Now sweetheart, don't you know not to go meddling in someone else's business." The mans cold breath trickled down cutie's neck, making her shiver. All the blood rushed to cutie's face. Slowly turning around, cutie is met with the face of a stranger. cutie gulped and he chuckled.

Thinking quickly, cutie brings her foot to his lower area. He screamed out in pain as she began running. cutie could hear his heavy footsteps behind her. Her legs began to feel tired. "No keep going." she thinks to herself. She keeps running until she no longer hears his footsteps. cutie stands still to catch her breath. "Dumb puttana." cutie mutters.

It had been a long time since she had seen a tragic death like that. She felt herself tremble again. As cutie kept on walking, she wonders. Was he the man that orchestrated the murder of the body cutie had found? If he had approached cutie just to throw some baby threats, maybe he was worried that cutie would rat him out to the cops. It was all too soon, cutie thought. She sees a young lady in the distance. Her white hair alluring cutie under the moonlight. The red fabric cutie had found was still in her pocket. As she took it out, cutie could see that it was pretty much the same sort of fabric the girl was wearing. cutie herself was in distress and walked towards the girl. Maybe she could keep cutie sane for a while.

With hesitation, cutie speaks up. "Everything they do is illegal but there's no stopping them from the murders and crimes they do." cutie felt like she was ranting, but she needed to let it out.

Then, the girl looked up. cutie felt her body go numb. Her eyes set off something different. "Are you in the mafia? she asked. cutie could see the muscles in her jaw flex.

"I used to be associated with one... why?"

"You gotta help me. I fear that a crew is looking for me, and I may have to be buried 6 feet underground. I need a new start. I have to go somewhere. Anywhere..." The girl put her head in her hands. cutie could feel her heart sink to her stomach. It was things like this that reminded cutie of all the mistakes she had made in the past..

cutie told her to look up, and she smiled. "Now you definitely can't go home alone tonight."

cutie chuckled to herself nervously. A new start? Maybe she could introduce the girl to her mob boss..

cutie guesses you could call it a kickstart to insanity.

Kittiku lifted her head up from her hands, she did not understand why the one man had to be killed. Shaking her thoughts clear she stood up looking right at cutie. She spoke quietly still on edge, "My name is Kittiku, may I ask what you're name is?" She looked around hoping that no one was nearby. She took a closer look at the girl and could smell blood on her from the short distance between them. "You found him did you not?" Kittiku waited for the girl to respond. Knowing herself she would follow this girl for now, knowing thing's might end badly on her end.

She started thinking about the conversation she had with Chert, when they broth became part of a unmarked mafia crew. She would shake the thoughts from her mind and look around at the few passerby's that happened to be out late at night. She quietly started humming to herself as the silence made her feel uneasy. The breeze was cold, as the night clouds started to gather indicating rain was on its way. She slung her bag over her shoulder and looked at the girl.

Report Post Tip

Her hand was extended out towards Kittiku. cutie shook her hand firmly. "The name's Cutie Cortez. Nice to meet you." cutie noticed Kittiku eyeing her outfit, which was a bit blood stained from earlier. She suddenly remembered that she was still a bit shocked from the dead body she saw, so she sat down beside Kittiku and tried to assess what happened.

cutie already knew that she was associated with guy that was killed. She hated when ugly, inconsiderate, degenerate bastards kill people for no reason. They weren't even rogues, they were just an unmarked group. As they were entering a new era, more and more mob bosses kept getting the wrong idea of being in an organised crime world.

It all used to be about bringing power to the name, shaming those who did wrong, and providing more than what the government could. The mafia was America's last hope, honestly. It was safe to say, that the man who was killed is a crime victim and cutie wanted to make things right.

She felt a rush of adrenaline and her senses started to turn sharp. "Wouldn't it be cool if you could just morph into something else at night?" cutie wondered aloud. She looked at Kittiku and noticed her face expression changed, into something cutie could not explain.

"Take my advice, Kittiku. I say we get the hell out of this place and find some shelter for tonight. It's about to rain. Tomorrow morning, we can discuss more about this... whatever this is." cutie stood up waiting for response as she buried her hands in her pockets. The rain seemed to reflect cutie's mood.

Report Post Tip

After kittiku shook cutie's hand she gave a faint smile of reassurance. Her expression shortly dulled out as she continued her thought. Sitting on the grass as the night moved on, listening to Cutie speak about morphing made her smile just a little. Her thoughts would wonder for the time being, "I agree." She said to finding shelter for the night, rain was never the best with gun's so she stood up onto her feet and offered her hand to the other girl, she had changed her distant expression to a calm and collected smile. She would await her to take her hand.

Thunder boomed across the sky as the drops slowly fell hitting the ground. After they both started walking the road she would start humming a soft tune. Abruptly ending it as she spoke quietly, she was looking at Cutie now. "Do you know a place to stay?" She was curious and believed she might be able to trust the girl. She had a small headache starting up but tried her best to ignore it, seeing how it was from the day's events.

"There's a small motel just up a few more blocks. It'll do for now. I got a few bucks to cover the both of us there." cutie looked at Kittiku for approval, and hoped that tomorrow would be a better day. cutie heard the sound of thunder above their heads, and she accepted Kittiku's hand. They ran into the darkness, not knowing what to expect...

cutie didn't really know what to say or do when they reached the motel. It was freezing, and all cutie had was a few dollars and a caramel candy in her pocket. The lady behind the desk didn't even look interested. It was as if she was rushing to go somewhere else. cutie frowned. She shook her head back into reality, and tried to stay strong for herself and Kittiku of course. But she knew that Kittiku could do much more beyond her capabilities. Somehow.. cutie wold find out.

A key to Room 679 was given to cutie and she lead the way. As they entered, cutie immediately landed face first in a pillow on the couch. "Aah... life." cutie giggled. She was just tired.

She turned to Kittiku with concern. "Are you okay there?" cutie started to get up from the couch and grab a bowl of hot water and a cloth.

Report Post Tip

Kittiku nodded softly, she was damp from the rain and so was her backpack. She watched Cutie land face down onto the couch as she herself sat in a chair near the window looking out. She had set the bag beside her and stared blankly for a bit letting her mind go elsewhere before becoming startled by cutie asking if she was okay. She turned her head and smiled softly, "I am okay," she had forgotten about the graze on her neck since the pain had faded away.

Kittiku listened to cutie walking away to get a cloth and a bowl of hot water. Kittiku stared at the window as the rain fell heavily, whispering, "one, two three..." She pointed her finger's as though they were her own gun out at the sky. lowering her hand she raised her arms behind her head popping her joints as she lowered them just under her chest. Speaking to herself once more, "Life is full of disappointment sometimes... but you have to keep moving." She closed her eyes for a split second, reopening them when cutie returned.

Report Post Tip

cutie returned from the kitchen and walked over to the couch. She sat down and dipped the cloth in the hot water. The relief of a fresh, hot cloth on her forehead always relaxed cutie. Kittiku was sitting by the window. cutie stared at her, wondering what was her story. Or what she was hiding. But cutie respected her privacy, and maybe time will tell.

The cloth stayed on cutie's forehead for thirty more minutes, until she felt her eyelids start to close. The thunder outside started to die down. "Kittiku, I'm just going to head off to bed. Sleep well." cutie said. She didn't see where Kittiku was because cutie's face was already planted on the pillow. She started to vividly dream. This was just the beginning of the end.

Report Post Tip

"Sleep well" Kittiku looked over at Cutie as she fell asleep. She herself was tired but knowing she was not alone made her wonder just a tad. She would look out the window watching the streets outside, as it just rained. By morning the rain would be done but for now she just stood up and walked quietly without a sound to go and clean her neck up.

It had stung and she found some bandages in her bag, covering the graze and looked back to the sky seeing the vivid color's of the early morning break through the night she decided to get a little bit of sleep as the other girl had not awaken. She laid on the floor bust under the window and drifted off into a feather light sleep. One sound of someone coming close she would be awake with her hand on her pistol.

Report Post Tip

The middle of the night was the time when cutie needed to go pee. She squealed and stood up quickly from the couch and ran into the toilet. She did her business, then walked out to wash her hands in the bathroom. cutie walked into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. As she took a drink, cutie heard footsteps outside of the room.

"Where is the girl?" the man hissed angrily, banging on the walls. cutie started to panic and she was alarmed. She goes over to Kittiku in a nimble manner, making sure not to attract attention to their room. But as cutie looked over her, Kittiku's hand was placed over her gun holster.

Well shit. It was time to roll. cutie started to think of a plan. How would they even get out? The height of the window was too far from the ground.

Report Post Tip

Kittiku stood up un-holstering her pistol quickly and without a sound. Her crimson eyes seemed to look dilated. She would turn quickly opening the window and looking out along the sides. There was a small ledge which would not be to difficult to at least reach the fire ladder and gave a small grin picking up her backpack and putting both straps on her shoulders she spoke fast and whispered. Get on the ledge and move carefully to the fire ladders.

If all would go well they would make a quick escape. If not and one of them fall... let's hope they land in the open dumpster below their window. She stood waiting for the girl to go first watching the door for those who were chasing them. She gave a massive grin speaking under her soft breath, "I hear you jack~ and now you will die for being a piece of rat feces...." She was showing it again that messed up looked that cutie had saw before. Waiting with her gun in hand.

Report Post Tip

"No... you go first. I'm quite scared." cutie said.

She followed Kittiku's lead, trying not to get her clothes caught on anything. cutie lifted up her sleeves. She looked back at the door, and no one was about to come in but it was better to be safe than sorry. The panic and shock that rushed through cutie's body started to worsen. Kittiku went first. cutie followed suit, copying the same moves that Kittiku was making. She lifted her leg over the window railing, placed herself on the ledge and reached for the fire ladder.

When she held on and walked further, she almost slipped causing her whole body to tingle. cutie felt a rush of adrenaline.

They finally landed to safety in another room so they escaped out of the door and ran to the reception. The man was not around, so they had enough time to check out. They just kept on running. Running until they felt the soles of their feet bleed..

cutie bent over to catch a breath. She didn't want do say anything about it earlier but she thought she heard Kittiku say something. It troubled cutie. Who was jack?

Report Post Tip

Kittiku would jump onto the window railing and put her chest to the wall. Moving along the small ledge carefully, she would look back at Cutie and past her to make sure they were not being followed. Once at the fire ladder they both would move quickly, but kittiku made small quiet patters on light feet.

Once in a different room, and out the door to checkout. Kittiku kept a eye out for Jack, even as they ran. Kittiku had stared up at the sky after putting her hands on her hips. She shook her head before walking in a circle. Looking over at Cutie she spoke quietly.

"The man you ran into..... He had four shots given to him correct?"

She would wait for a answer and her knuckles would turn white from gripping her waist tight.

Report Post Tip

The way Kittiku asked her question almost made cutie tremble. She didn't really know what kind of connection she had with the man who got shot, but by the sight of Kittiku's white knuckles, the mans death clearly impacted her. cutie thinks back to what she saw. "Four shots, yeah. Two in the left shoulder, one in the chest and the other around the waistline." She looked at Kittiku, waiting for her reaction.

cutie tried to calm her down by putting her hands on Kittiku's shoulders. "Okay, look, I will help you alright? We'll find whoever did this to him. In fact I have a lead. The guy I met when I was looking at the body was threatening me not to tell anyone about it. He could be our first lead. Nonetheless, we won't stop until we find who did it."

Was vengeance the answer? Or was cutie thinking ahead of herself?

She didn't care. She looked in Kittiku's crimson eyes and knew that what she trying to do was right.

Report Post Tip

She smirked releasing her grip on her hips. She calmed down before giving a soft painted on smile. She spoke with a sing-song voice, "Jack was the one you met~ and that jackass will get the heat~". She looked away towards the sky falling quiet before speaking in a dulled out voice, "Chert was the reason I got in this business."

While they seemed to take their break Kittiku would pace back and forth looking around wondering if they might be found.

Report Post Tip

"HE'S JACK?! Gosh dammit I'm going to kill him... I'm gonna.." cutie tried to calm herself down. She beyond frustrated. She had just met the guy who killed... Chert, and let him walk away without questioning him! cutie could feel the bubbling anger inside her stomach. Or maybe she was just hungry. She mentally slapped herself for making such a joke.

cutie spoke to Kittiku again. "I see... I've never been in a situation like you are in right now, but I'm deeply sorry for your loss." They continued to walk along the streets after what seemed like hours of running. "Where are we going to go first? We have one lead, but it doesn't tell us where we should go" asked cutie.

Report Post Tip

Kittiku looked around as they walked, the sun was just starting to break through the night's sky. She looked towards cutie who had asked what they should do now. "I think... finding a place to take shelter or get what we need together would be the best idea."

She had no problem walking alongside cutie as they moved on the streets, their fate awaiting them further down the road.
