im sure many of you have done it! you think certain lyrics sound like one thing but they are saying something different? probably happens more when you were younger,  example

For whatever reason for the longest time whenever I heard "Africa" by Toto, I always thought that it was...

"I miss the rains down in Africa."

When in reality it's actually...

"I bless the rains down in Africa."

However, I swear I still hear it at times as "I miss the rains down in Africa."

either of those work. lol

Ever since I was a kid, I thought it was “she’s so frenchy, eh” in Games Without Frontiers. Which, admittedly, makes no sense what so ever. Turns out years later when I look it up, “Jeux sans frontières”. I wasn’t even in the same language.

The bands official site has always said 'its the Thrill of the fight', but I know a lot of people who insist, with great gusto, that the line is 'its the cream of the fight'

The all time winner is Nirvana. We all have our own versions of every single one of their songs. What are the real lyrics? Who knows. It doesn't really matter anymore. Even if I knew the right lyrics, it would still be my own version playing through my head along with the song.

My wife and her sister for years thought for years that the Sherle Crow song "If It Makes You Happy" was putting on a porn show instead of Put on a poncho not sure what the mosquitos were for.... kink i guess.
