It was late, very late but Ishmael couldn't lie in bed for more than a few minutes before rising again. He paced back and forth for hours on end contemplating not only about the decision he was about to make but of the decisions that led him to this point and of the decisions to come. After what seemed an eternity in his mind the first light of the day broke through his blinds. A single ray of light was at his feet; he knew there was no delaying it any longer. He threw on a fresh set of clothes and combed his hair. He may have been anxious, but he couldn't look it when he arrived at the meeting. Ishmael looked at himself one last time in the mirror; his eyes piercing through the bandages. He was ready or as ready as one could be in his shoes.

Ishmael arrived a bit early as the parking lot was still empty. He looked around that there was a noticeable lack of activity not just around the diner but the entire street. It was as if everyone was avoiding the place; he pondered to himself if he was a fool for sticking around. With a gun in hand, he waited and waited. After several minutes of waiting, he put the key in the ignition but before he could turn it two vehicles arrived and occupied the two spots in front of the diner. The first vehicle onto the lot was Princesa's, a purple Auburn sedan jokingly nicknamed by Lunara the love wagon. The second vehicle which was trailing Princesa's was an unfamiliar all black two door car. Ishmael couldn't figure out the model, but the one thing he did notice was that the doors of the car were thicker than normal; the entire car seemed more sturdily built as if it was plated. Out of said vehicle exited Don bobbi, right hand to the chairman of Chicago. They both entered the diner followed by several armed men, some of which Ishmael recognized as associates of Fleur D'Oranger. He took a deep breath and opened his door, the gravel crunched beneath his foot.

Before he could enter the diner, Ishmael was asked to hand over his firearm by one of bobbi's guards posted outside. Not wanting any conflict, in particular on this day he happily obliged and placed his s&w in the hand of the guard. After a quick nod by the man outside, Ishmael entered the establishment.

"Ladies, I've asked you here to discuss some business." said Ishmael before Princesa spoke up.

"No need for the formalities my friend we know of your intentions and I'm happy for you." said Princesa

"Oh... well then. I had prepared quite the rousing speech. I guess I'll save it for another time, but I do have a question. Why did you come out all this way bobbi?" said Ishmael.

"I was nearby in the area, and I wanted to deliver the good news to you in person. As soon as you are ready you are allowed to head west and join the open city of Los Angeles." said bobbi.

Ishmael shook the hand of both his soon to be former leader Princesa and Don bobbi in gratitude. The three spent another fifteen or so minutes inside discussing the ongoings of the world and Chicago. It was all a blur for Ishmael, by the time he had cleared his head he was already outside saying his goodbyes. The Don was the first to leave as she had important matters to tend to today. The associates loaded into the love wagon and awaited Princesa so they too could return to HQ. Once they were alone, Princesa turned to Ishmael.

"So this is it. Do you even know what you're doing?" questioned Princesa in a mocking tone.

"No. No, I don't, but I'll learn just as everyone before me has learned." said Ishmael as he smirked.

"Goodbye old friend." said Princesa.

"Farewell." said Ishmael.

He was the last one to leave. Before walking to his vehicle, he stood in the middle of the lot and looked around one last time. His time in the windy city was coming to an end for The Broken Men were riding west.

bobbi was sitting on a dark office opposite her close friend and mentor Chairman MonsterHair. With a cup of coffee in one hand and yesterdays newspaper in the other she sat comfortably leaning backwards in a leather lounge chair. They'd been up all night discussing business opportunities, associates and Chicago. They were both tired but it was something they were used to. A life of crime came with long hours spread over every part of the day. So it was not a new feeling.

But as the sunlight started to creep its way into the room they decided they needed to wrap things up. They had one last thing to get out of the way before being able to do so. It was Ishmaels wish to make his move over to Los Angeles. He had expressed his wishes earlier that week and bobbi just needed the Chairmans thoughts on the matter.

"- He has gotten Princesas approval so he just needs yours now" bobbi said tiredly.

"- Make it happen" MonsterHair said as he stood up and walked over to his desk at the other end of the office. His way of showing that this meeting was over.

With that bobbi stood up and made her way outside to her awaiting bodyguards. She gave two of her most trusted bodyguards an address to a diner. They were to quickly head over there and make sure everything was safe for her to arrive. She told her driver the same address and made him go there slowly. She wanted to give her bodyguards the chance to thoroughly go over the scene.

Arriving at the scene she gave Princesa a quick nod as well as making sure her bodyguards got rid of any threat before walking in to the diner. The meeting was over quite quickly. bobbi told Ishmael he had the Chairmans permission to make the move and shook a few hands before standing, before walking away she offered the man a sincere "Good Luck". It was always refreshing to see ambitious men and women grab opportunities like this.

She looked down at her watch and let out a sigh. It was early morning and she hadn't slept yet. The day was going to be full of hard work and important matters. Hopefully she would have time to sneak in a power nap while her driver sped through the city. Most days that was what was offered to men and women in her position. The price of being successful she thought as she stepped into the car.

Flipping through the pages of her notebook, Princesa's eyes were tired and heavy. She had been up all night looking over her "books" for all the statistics and earnings for the week from her "employees". Picking up her coffee cup from the desk, she sipped the cup before making a face. The coffee was gone. This just wasn't turning out to be her morning. Her coffee was gone, one of her best associates was leaving her to venture out to Los Angeles. Dammit, she thought to herself.

Glancing at the wall, she had to double take to make sure she was seeing the time right.

"Oh god, I'm late for a very important date! Story of my life."

Grabbing her purse and jacket, she ran down the stairs, yelling out to whoever could hear her.

"It's go time people! Let's goooooooo!"

Her bodyguards and driver rushed out behind her as she dove in the car, brushing her hair frantically as they raced to the diner. This always happens, she thought to herself. Her mother always said she was the kind of person to be late to her own funeral. As she was putting on lipstick, the car came to a sudden halt, making the lipstick smear to her cheek.

"Dammit Jack! What did I tell you about that?!" she glared as she quickly wiped her cheek off.

Sighing dramatically, the Princess exited the car, slamming the door. Walking towards the diner, she turned to look back at the driver as he snickered. Jack was a bit of a joker, but he was the best driver around and she could trust him for miles. Mouthing back at him 'I.will.kill.you', she approached the door waiting for the bodyguard to open it. She nodded at bobbi as she entered, quickly spotting Ishmael. Ishmael was someone you could spot easily. She giggled to herself, there usually weren't many mummy looking gangsters walking around. Approaching Ishmael, she smiled, giving a quick hug, even though she knew Ishmael had never been the hugging type out of all the years she has known him. Princesa and Lunara always got a kick out of making him uncomfortable.

"Ladies, I've asked you here to discuss some business." said Ishmael before Princesa cleared her throat, cutting him off.

"No need for the formalities,my friend we know of your intentions and I'm happy for you." said Princesa as she looked at him with a piercing gaze.

She nodded to bobbi as she gave the news to Ishmael, seeing his eyes light up through the dirty bandages that probably should've been changed some time ago. After a few cups of coffee, the trio finally stood up to exit the diner. Princesa shook bobbi 's hand before waving her off, watching the black car speed off. Turning over at Ishmael, this was the moment she had dreaded. She knew that this was goodbye. Ishmael had always been nothing but loyal to her through thick and thin. Even though she wanted nothing more but for him to stay, Princesa knew that she had to let him go to start a new branch in Los Angeles. Of course, she could never say this out loud to him. Looking over, putting on a smile, she laughed.

"So this is it. Do you even know what you're doing?" questioned Princesa in a mocking tone to keep from showing any real emotion.

"No. No, I don't, but I'll learn just as everyone before me has learned." said Ishmael as he smirked.

This was the typical response she expected from him. Nodding sadly, she spoke.

"Goodbye old friend." said Princesa in a hushed saddened tone.

She hugged him tightly before heading back to her own car, stepping in before slumping down in the back seat. Looking out the window at the diner as Jack sped off, she saw Ishmael standing there, a lone figure. This was goodbye.

Dammit, she thought to herself.
