| Where are all the Rogues? | Started by: LucaGiordano on Aug 09, '17 12:22 |

Actual rogues, who end eras and eliminate significant members of our upper structures, crippling the progression of the regime? I'm not talking about those who keep poking at us with a stick, trying to beat the 99% chance of failure. I'm talking about real, threatening rogues. When did we last see one? Is it at all possible we've not seen any because the management of the cities by Las Vegas is actually effective? Is that not the job of those in power, to protect us from these people? Anyone else seeing what I'm seeing? It seems to me that the 1%'ers are the disgruntled few who are would-be rogues. Would-be being the key phrase here, since they are not getting to that point as they are being weeded out before the event. If they were not, we would have seen a rogue, wouldn't we? The action of weeding them out is apparently having a detrimental effect on the game though, and the only solution is to take 1% shots at the leadership. These people are claiming that this is for the benefit of the game, however have previously failed to comment on the other options I have presented them with. Being responsible for game impacting decisions is not a simple task. It takes effort, considerable effort, if you don't bring that then you're no better than whatever it is you perceive to be 'bad leadership'. What is good for the game? Removing the current regime is apparently the only way to 'save the game'. How? Trying to fire a shot which has a 99% chance of failing, over and over again? Shady 'underground' groups which have all the fire and fury of disgruntled keyboard warriors? Destroying the current structure and throwing the game into unpredictable chaos? Anyone who cares for the progression of the game will create an environment people can learn and grow in. If these people really cared for the game, then they would spend their time tutoring the new players who continue to wash up on our shores regardless of the internal politics of our current operations. Make some money, build relationships and set the groundwork for a future successful run. This is not of interest to the 1% club though, so their motivations must lay selfishly in either running the game themselves or creating anarchy and reset everything so we have to rebuild again. Well, I'm not comfortable with the former, as you people are making it quite clear you don't have time for recruiting, mentoring, or any sort of long term plan. As for the latter, it brings about the same situation for the game as does the first option. As someone who actually cares about growth and progression, neither of these are better than what we currently have. If you want to play with guns and get kicks from shooting things, join a competition city and play wars within them. What we have now are diverse opportunities and a wealth of new potential to introduce to the world. It's natural that it'll all come crashing down, there will be a fresh start and hopefully someone will emerge with their own stable idea of how to run things. If you want to keep trying to rip what we have down by taking 1% shots, fine, but don't expect us to accept the bullshit that it is for 'the good of the game'. There are better things to do for the good of the game. Tell it how it is, you're trolls that are pissed off that you were stopped before you could build a gun big enough to hit a serious target. And if one day you succeed, don't expect any appreciation from those of us who actually give a shit about this place if you don't intend on reordering the chaos you've created. |

I am not expecting anything other than the insignificant 1% shooters, in terms of rogues. They seem to be the only ones trying anything of that sorts, which is pathetic, to say the least, considering how ineffective they are, not to say I am encouraging rogue behavior but it just seems pointless from both perspectives. Why even bother if your attempts are absolute minimal? The last rogue I remembered actually doing damage is when Frankie and eMAKE rogued and killed Prati and some others, but maybe my memory is bad and there were more recent ones. |

Assuming that the expectation for any 'rogue' would be to go for maximum damage (shoot someone from the upper structure of the regime) then that means the rogue would either need spend at least 60-90 days of building a characters rank and gun whilst having to put in major ass kissing effort all the while having to live with the constant threat that you will either a. be killed by a random or b. killed by someone from the regime (don't be fooled into thinking the recent solo deaths and WS catch attempts were for anything but this). OR Spend 60-90 days creating a character, waiting 24 hours to take a 1% shot, dying then repeating the process. Whilst the silence from the upper hierarchy has been rather deafening with regards to the recent spate of rogues and angry threads, the peons are still out in force using a cocktail of character assassination techniques to try and convince everyone that its 'less pathetic' and 'less embarrassing' to chose option one, fact of the matter it makes more logical sense to try your luck with option two. |
