I think that you should be able to hide your identity from someone who's referral link you have followed. At the moment, if I sign up again after dying, the persons whose link I initially followed automatically knows my new identity.

I can foresee two possible issues with this.

1) We fall out in a big way, and he kills me over some infraction, like I slept with his mother and got her pregnant. When I come back, he know's who I am again and comes and kills me again, and again, and again.

2) I just want to come back incognito so no one knows who I am. not even my old friends.

I suggest that on the sign up page we be allowed to check a secrecy box that will blank out the name on the referers page, so that it says Unknown or Secret or something similar instead of my new name.

Now some may say just sign up again under a new email addy, however, what if I have 100 CDs or Admin bonuses due to my donations? I wouldn't want to loose those by signing up to a completely new account.

this way, the person whose referral i followed still gets their rewards, but i still get my anonimity.

This has been altered. Now when you sign up under a referal link, you will get the username of your referer, but they will only get a personal stating "Someone has signed up under your link", and on the referals page the list of usernames of your referals has been removed. You will only see a count of living referals.
