The Press Conference
Don Admiral Ackbar, Detroit

It had been two weeks since AdmiralAckbar set up the organization, The Rebel Alliance down in Detroit. Within a short period time, the operation grew to one of the biggest known to this thing of ours. But the success formula of The Rebel Alliance also seemed to have a negative side, as certain mobsters called Don Ackbar our on the streets, spreading hatred and lies. It didn't take long before the Admiral figured it was time for an underground press conference to clarify the current state of Detroit and the direction we, as a city, will be heading in.

The Admiral had arranged for an abandoned warehouse to be remodeled for such occasions. In the center of the warehouse stood a wooden stage with proper lighting and plenty of chairs for people to take place during the press conference. After checking if the accommodation was complete, an invitation was sent to every city. Now we are here and it's time to clarify certain topics.

Question one: Is Detroit a city on its own, or are there certain rules restricting you from operating properly?

The moment I received word that I was allowed to 'rebuild' Detroit, for a moment I thought it to be good to be true. With certain regulations in place, I had trouble believing that I was free to do what I wanted. For the better part of my time as a crew leader, I had the feeling I was expected to report back to my home city on my action.

After doing so, I quickly found out that it wasn't too good to be true. Detroit was a city on its own and I was acting godfather. This news came as a great motivator for me and made me want to work even harder towards rebuilding Detroit.

I would like to add, that is was me, that requested to be sent to Detroit for the mission.

Question two: Is Detroit paying rent or any other funds towards the people connected to your auth?

The answer is simple, no.

Over the entire course of my time as a crew leader, not a single penny has been requested...or demanded from Detroit.

Question three: What are the short term plans for Detroit?

Detroit has grown so fast, that we don't have enough businesses to launder all our money. We had to find ourselves a head of operations for the sole purpose of setting up and managing businesses over the entire country. We found ourselves in luck when HuskeyRadhe joined us. This man may be called our savior when it comes to money laundering.

The short-term goals of Detroit are to set up businesses across the state to launder the money we make via unethical or illegal methods.

Question four: What are the long term plans for Detroit?

The most important thing to me is stability at this point. Though the expansion rate is staggering we must bear in mind that we have to take the time to filter out any member of Detroit handling in bad faith. Therefore any member of Detroit acting as a lone-wolf and not working towards the betterment of Detroit, will not be warned twice.

We are here for the business, the money, living the life! Getting strung up in wars is not what we want, it's bad for business. Therefore we would like to expand our business by forming trade agreements with other cities. You can't drink whiskey with a bullet in your head, that's what I always say.

Admiral Ackbar nips his water and focusses his attention towards the crowd.

I am now open for questions, anyone?
