I hereby suggest we put forth a change (a checkbox, in Options, optimally) that allows us to Toggle off the ability to be Called from Jail for a bust. It gives up your location, with no work involved from the person who's gaining this information.

I'm a little torn on the next part of this addition - and would appreciate feedback.

Should we also have it so that if you're set as Unreachable, you also cannot make calls while in Jail? I think it's somewhat fair - as you're hindering the ability for others to use this feature as effectively - but on the flip side, my whole point was to further ensure the integrity of stealth.

Thoughts?

Given that the Options page is getting a little cluttered, and they both tie in with securing stealth, I am not opposed to that.

I like the idea behind this, I usually don't get called much for jail busts anyway, but I can see why you would want something like this added.

Im assuming this is a factor in wars and such? If thats the case, couple it with the OC tick sure. Most turn off the OC invites in war anyway.

It's an overwhelming problem to me, at its root, because you shouldn't ever be able to gain someone's location without putting in effort.

Whether that is having the contacts who know where someone is, throwing multiple jails(if they're offline), having them PickPocketed/BG'd checked, or putting in the work to gain the Info skill, it matters not... any of those are acceptable ways to gain someones location in my eyes (granted, shooting someones BG merely to find their location, without authorization, will likely get you killed).

I just don't agree with the fact that I could potentially be sitting in a city; online, on full stealth, OC invites off and no trackable CA's, and have someone call me from jail - confirming where I am - when the person in jail did...nothing to earn this information, save failing a jailbreak/getting thrown in from a failed Felony/OC :\

Also - Squishy - if we're tying this in with the OC toggle function, I would like to retract my possible addition of being unable to make a call while in Jail, on the premise that even with OC invites toggled off, you can still host one.

This is a good idea. I just wanted to add something similar to this in that when you call someone sometimes I have found you end up calling the person next to you in jail obviously if there are no other options I'm guessing. It would probably be better if it gave you the unreachable message instead.

Does it do that? I've never witnessed it lol. Are you sure they're just not getting your call and then failing the bust on you?

Well it happened to me with someone who was in before me and I don't believe they had been busted out and went back in.

This actually makes sense, and yeah I think just putting it under the check of accepting OC invites would work just fine since the stealths are the ones who need it.

There are multiple ways to get out of jail and giving someone your locals for nothing isn't ideal.

Not to mention that I often drop offline and when I come back there is a missed call because I was away.  I often turn of OCs when I know I won't be around long so I don't waste peoples time with an invite that I won't accept.

That's am acceptable risk you take when actively busting people, EuronGreyjoy, whereas receiving a phone call is not voluntary - you could be sitting there completely hidden elsewise and poof, someone knows where you are with no work on their end and no fuckups on yours other than being online.
