Quite a few mobsters of late have decided to break with the oath that they took and branch out on their own. 

These men do not do this for money, they are attempting to strike at those with power and wealth significantly greater than their wn.

One of these men, The_Northman, appeared last night, didn't announce very much, recruited a few non-entities, fired off a few, largely ineffectual, shots, and then died.

So, to date, what have these rogues actually achieved?  I think they have resulted in a very low bodycount, except for their own.

Have you achieved any successes on their terms?

I've seen a lot of this lately, more or less every time this guy speaks. 

The_Big_K, as far as I know, didn't run any undergrounds, so kindly get relevant to today or shut up.

As to the rogues, they haven't achieved anything at all. The regime is more entrenched than ever and the climate is increasingly difficult for the underground in general. Well, sorry, in the way I would measure achievements (i.e. meeting goals) they haven't achieved anything; in the way Orenda measures achievements, I guess they've made strong growth. 

Orenda says much progress, good good.

Dominick, to say the Plumbers never achieved anything as an underground group would be unfair.  The Plumbers, despicable diseased people that they were,  have been responsible for significant events in our mafia's history such as the overthrowing/gunning down of Godfathers and the conquering of entire cities.  And despite the disdain This Thing of Ours had for the Plumbers, their de facto leader managed to still be nominated Street Orator of the Year, which for its time was an accomplishment not to be sneezed at.

Thank-you Romance, for correcting the very wrong Dominick.  The Plumbers did, indeed, do a lot of bad things.  It is a blemish on my ancestor's good name.

This is not the time and place to recall the many bloody, yet often ingenious and daring, things that the Plumbers achieved, but I am sad to say that they took control of one city and led to the destruction of another, and the gunning down of not a few prominent personalities.

I wish it wasn't the case.  It's obviously nothing to be proud of, not even when compared to the fucking useless rogues that pop up frequently now-a-days.  

They were different times.  It was a different era.  I, for one, am very glad that's over.

Super_K walks the lovely streets after getting a nice fresh cut from the barber shop, he walks to the corner and notices his boss addressing the masses. He then hears a well known Leader from Las Vegas talk after his boss.

I'd have to agree here big time with LarryLongNeck. Me as his right hand man has to comment real quick. I am sorry fellow, as long as I have known "The_Big_K" no such talk or indication of any such groups has ever been associated with underground work or group with the man known as The_Big_K. So yeaa....

Super_K then pulls out a pack and lights up his favorite cigarette brand. 

We must remember that The_Big_K is The_Big_K, his forefathers did bare the name Kuku and the past is the past, but this was some time now. I think it is safe to say as I am a witness to his organization. Mr. Big K is a legitimate leader, building a family out here like any other crew leader is doing. We must try to steer away from this bloodline way of thinking and move onward. 

I think we're dwelling too long on something that's over and done. It's been addressed by the man who said it, even. 

Back to topic, these rogues are embarrassing... Though we've lost important people in the process, the community is showing it's resolve and ability to move forward whilst remembering those who've fallen. 

Dub pulls out a small notebook pad and reads names of people who've fallen silently to himself for a moment.

I guess that's the thing though, Dub - as far as I can see, close to a half dozen rogues have killed one ranking person.  Is that true?

By taking away everyone's gun and shooting a whole family for saying no. Moving forward huh? Do it or die, whatta choice that is!

These rogues serve a purpose, or at least I assume they do. Keep eyes distracted while the real rogues attempt to build and fall through the purging cracks.

There's not much being accomplished, if anything, other than lost time extinguishing the rogues as they take a stand. They're ineffective, and a nuisance. Hell, I've even come across a few people go off and attack Durdens, and or bums instead of chasing the rogue. Most likely knowing the rogue won't do anything of note.
