A large crowd was gathered in the square. Husky watched from the sidelines as his men handed out the pamphlets. 
"Settle down there's enough to go around" one of the men said as he saw the crowd anxiously pushing each other to get one of the pamphlets.

"What do you think is going on?" one of the people said. "One of the men from Detroit is organizing some fights at the dockyard." came the reply.

"Which man?"
"That one over there with the dusty hat."
"The one with the Bar in Detroit?"
"Yeah that's the one. I'm going to go put some money on the fight."
"But he's from a different crew? Why would you trust him with your money?"
"I don't. At least not yet. So I'm only going to make a small bet for the first fight . 20-30k. If he tries to fuck us over, we'll ask the boss to deal with him."
"Ah and maybe in the next fight, we can start making serious bets depending on how much we pull in from this one."
 

Husky smiled as he overheard all the conversations. Everything was proceeding according to plan. As his men finished nailing a few pamphlet on dome of the wooden poles , he took a glance at one of them
 

The Novice's Guide To Betting At The Docks

 

1. There will be 2 boxers red and blue per fight
2. You can only bet once per fight.
3. The upper limit, the odds and the period of betting will be set per fight.
4. To bet on a fighter simply transfer the money to the business manager's account with the name of the fighter you want to bet on.
5. If the number of bets in the given time period totals to an even number , Fighter Red wins otherwise Fighter Blue wins.
6. Any anonymous bets , or bets made before/after the allotted time period for a fight will be forfeited.
7. For any just grievance please contact the manager.
8. At the start of each fight an announcement will be made in the streets. Details of the fight such as the odds, time period, results etc can be checked at the Dockyard Brawlers Club in the Detroit Business district

"Spread the word to your crews gentlemen, we will begin accepting bets soon. I look forward to seeing you all for the first fight." Husky said as he tipped his soot stained fedora and walked away. 

One of Husky's men comes forward with a scroll and reads aloud, "Fight #1 between the Irishman from the dock workers union, Rick 'The Beast' O'Brien and the local veteran Frankie 'The Tank' Nicholson has now started. We are now accepting all bets. Visit the dockyard for details about the odds and the upper limit. Betting will be open till 08:00 30th August."

Walter was out and about on the town, when he heard about HuskyRathe describing The Betting At The Docks.. He loved the idea, and the

betting even more. Walter clapped heavily and smiled.. He heads back to his crew HQ and tells everyone about it! "This should be fun!"

''Finally something to bet on aside from roulette.'' Joseph said and bought his ticket to Detroit as soon as possible 

Lucy smiled at Husky's newest venture.  Fight nights.  It was rather brilliant.  You had to give it to the guy, he sure knew how to get people talking and engaged.  Silently she revisited her own 'next big plan' and wondered if it would prove successful.  Watching Husky's attempts to organize fight nights might make for a good way to learn a thing or two.  If for no other reason than that, it was worth betting.  Besides, an Irish was fighting.  She couldn't allow the Irishman to go without a cheering section.

Ravi avidly listened to the man explain his idea. It was brilliant, something he would surely participate in. It was good to see new ideas and interesting speeches come up on the streets.

Guess I won't be getting my bet back.. lmao! :D

A man walked in and pinned a notice on a nearby wall before walking away. The notice simply read

"Due to unforeseeable circumstances, Fight #1 has been cancelled. All bets are off. We regret this occurance, but for those of you still anxious to witness a fight, look forward to our re-opening in Vegas."

Walter had overheard Husky #2 talking about the new re-opening of the fights in Vegas, and was happy to hear it. :)
