Things were slowly starting to die down. Vegas had provided the resurrected Husky a perfect refuge. As he got his bearings in his new body, the body of a young blonde native, the city of sin offered him an opportunity to deal with the setbacks that had halted his business expansion.

The first step was shifting his organized fights to Vegas. That is why he now stood in this parking lot by the docks. Cars, surrounded him in a circle, their lights flashing as he looked around at the crowd that had gathered. 2 men stepped forward and the people buzzed with excitement.

Walking over to the nearest car, he placed one foot on the hood and pulled himself up. Standing on top , as the referee went over the rules . He gazed around. A few well dressed mafiosos could be seen smoking their cigars with a pompous air amidst the working class Joes coming off their shifts at the docks and the factories . The local Detective walked over to him eyeing the crowd suspiciously. Husky had paid him off before he started the fight. If word got out that his second fight had been cancelled as well, that would be the death of his business empire. This time he was making sure there would be no fuckups.

Looking towards the copper he said patiently, "Evening Detective Kohler. You here to try your luck?"
"I might if I knew how." came the reply. 

Husky handed him a pamphlet that read

The Novice's Guide To Betting At The Docks

 

1. There will be 2 boxers red and blue per fight
2. You can only bet once per fight.
3. The upper limit, the odds and the period of betting will be set per fight.
4. To bet on a fighter simply transfer the money to the business manager's account with the name of the fighter you want to bet on.
5. If the number of bets in the given time period totals to an even number , Fighter Red wins otherwise Fighter Blue wins.
6. Any anonymous bets , or bets made before/after the allotted time period for a fight will be forfeited.
7. For any just grievance please contact the manager.
8. At the start of each fight an announcement will be made in the streets. Details of the fight such as the odds, time period, results etc can be checked at The Vegas Brawlers Club in the Las Vegas Business district

 

Kohler nodded and walked away towards the betting station. Husky saw that the fighters were ready. Out of habit his hand went to his soot-stained fedora, searching for that familiar sensation. They brushed against a velvety ascot instead and he sighed, recalling yet again all that had happened. He knew he had to be more careful this time, for he knew the heavy price he would have to pay if he wasn't. 
 

"Ladies and gentlemen the fight between Tyler 'The Architect' Black  and Claudio 'Superman' Castagnoli has now begun. We will be accepting bets till Sep 1 19:00:00. For further details about the fight, please visit The Vegas Brawler's Club in the Las Vegas business district."

Walter runs to Husky to place his wager. "I have a feeling this will be the fight of the year, I can't wait!"

"With all the bets that are pouring in, it had better be or I'll be wearing concrete shoes soon." Husky replied with a grin.

Ravi smiled softly at the man explaining the rules for the fight. He was very glad that even thought his father had been killed a couple of days ago, he still showed determination to keep on going with his father's idea.

Rev came next to The_Kid ''Forget about the past think about present,have you placed your bet yet mine is for Blue Fighter.If you haven't you are a fool.We came here to make some money i don't care how those guys punch each other.We see it everyday in the streets people fighting.I care about who wins.'' he said as he handed him a betting paper . 

The results for the fight are in . The winner is Tyler 'The Architect' Black. <font color="#FF4533">All bets made on him are now being calculated and will soon be reimbursed accordingly.</font>

Henri stuffed the cash he'd won from the fight into his pockets, slipping Husky a hundred dollar bill for turning him on to the sport. With a slight nod in Husky's direction, Henri grunted,

"Looking forward to the next fight. The Architect shall dominate once again!"

Nikki grinned as she collected her winnings. 

"Must be my lucky day," she murmured as she strolled away, discreetly stuffing hundred dollar bills into the pockets of some of the assembled crowd as she passed. 

A little smirk grew on Ravi's face. He knew the architect would, because there isn't a cooler, more dope nickname than that. He collected his winnings and immediatly placed more bets, hoping to win again.

Walter smiled as he approached Husky. "That Tyler, just.. WOW!" Husky handed Walter his earnings and said, "Hope you continue supporting these fights mister!" :D
