| Looking for Love and Larry Long Neck | Started by: Disorder on Aug 31, '17 18:08 |

Disorder walked into the offices of the Long Neck Gang. It was quite a tidy place, Larry had always had a penchant for cleanliness and paid extra for fastidious cleaners. Enjoying the orange scent in the air he wandered upstairs and dropped a knock on TheBestNameEver's door. "Where's the boy?" TBE raised an eyebrow as if searching for his boss inside his head. Leaning back in his plush chesterfield office chair, he picked up a long cane and used it to reach a service hatch in the wall between his and Romance's offices. He slid the panel back. The sounds of furniture creaking and a young woman's pleasured submission, came spilling into TBE's office. The naked sweating shoulders and back of Larry's right hand man were moving in and out of view in time with the noises. TBE glanced back at Disorder and shrugged then cleared his throat loudly. 'Ahem!.. Romance!' The pumping stopped and a whimper of mixed emotion could be heard coming from the unseen sexual combatant in the other room. Romance poked his sweating head and long main through the service hatch and saw Disorder. He swung his head to throw his locks out of his face and beamed a knowing grin at the big man, as if the two of them shared some sort of sordid understanding. They didn't but Disorder smiled back anyway. Romance looked at TBE and back at the old Godfather. 'Hello chief! Whats up? Sorry I was a bit... distracted. What do you need?' 'He's looking for the giraffe.' Answered TBE dryly. 'You seen him?' Romance did the same eye roll that TBE had and shook his head. 'Sorry man. See, I've been interrogating this young lady all morning and so I haven't paid much mind to Larry's whereabouts. She's a stubborn young thing but that resistance makes for some passionate push-back, if you know what I mean...' Disorder didn't want to hear about it and raised a polite hand to signal details were not required. "Its ok man, I'll just try his door." Romance gave Disorder a sweaty, smiling wink and pulled his head back through the hatch, closing it behind him. The squeaking furniture noises resumed and soon the moaning was back in full flow. Disorder looked at TheBestNameEver who was looking blankly down at a newspaper. "How do you work next to that?" 'I indiscriminately shoot passers by. It takes the edge off.' TBE never so much as looked up. Disorder understood the entrenched depression so just nodded appreciatively and headed down the hall to Larry's office. He gave a polite knock and walked in. 'Disorder!' Larry stood with arms wide and spoke loudly with fraudulent enthusiasm. "You're getting better man. That one sounded almost genuine." Larry looked quite pleased with his performance and appeared to make a quick mental review of himself before sitting back down at his desk without offering Disorder a drink or a seat. With no sense of decorum he looked at Disorder. 'Whats up big man? Rap to me.' "You're done here Larry. Vegas is no longer the place for you." 'What the shitting fuck man?' "No no. Not like that. I need you to go take over Detroit. It's in need of a steady hand. I reckon your lanky-neck brand of slow moving surefootedness is exactly what's required." Larry raised an intrigued pointy eyebrow, making his whole neck and head look like a skyward pointing fleshy arrow. The cogs began to whir and a broad Grin began painting it's way across his face. 'You're giving me the entire city?' "Yep." 'To run as acting Godfather until such time as I assume control?' "Yep." Larry rested his head on his hand and drummed his fingers on his cheek thoughtfully. After a few moments gazing out of the window he came back to the room and looked at Disorder. 'Alright man, I'll do it!' "Marvelous!... Drink now?' 'Yes, that sounds good, I'll have a..' "No. Are you going to offer me a drink now?" 'Oh. Bollocks. Er, yeah ok then. You want a drink?' "Thats a lovely idea. Very thoughtful of you. I'll have a brandy." Larry reluctantly went over to the large globe in the corner and opened it to reveal the drinks selection inside. Clearly a stranger to having to make his own drinks, he managed to fill a couple of tumblers and headed back over to the old man. They raised a glass together. 'You going to make the announcement?' "No, I thought you could go make a big show of it in your own special way." The two men shared a drink or two more and discussed a few more serious plans about the practical aspects of a desirable future. When they were done Disorder left and Larry prepared for his big reveal. |
