"Lord, we know what we are, but not what we may be." - Ophelia to Claudius, Hamlet

Husky sat on the top of Tony's pizzeria . His stubborn desire for Whiskey was long gone and a glass of a fine chenin blanc hung loosely in his hand. The sky had a grim temperament similar to his own. The cool nightly gale made his blonde hair fly in an unruly manner. The sensation was still unfamiliar to him for he had always had close-cropped hair before. His thoughts went to that brief conversation he had with @LuckyLucy before everything went pear-shaped.

He wondered, not for the first time, if he would give up his new life if he could go back to that night just to spend a few more moments with her, losing himself into those piercing green eyes once again. His free hand snaked to his chest looking for the tell tale sign of the bullet hole but coming empty. Sighing to himself he sat down.

As he looked at the moon trying to shine it's light through the dark clouds that surrounded it a million thoughts ran through his head. Ever since his resurrection in his new body, he had tried desperately to run from his past. It had been a chance for a fresh start, to do things differently and he had decided to do just that. Escaping to Sin city, he had resolved to outrun his memories. For better or worse, he would be a new man. He joined a crew that had no ties with his previous one, no possible connections. He blew up the Rebel's Retreat, his bar, his baby, his one true love in Detroit to kill the sentimental fool within him. He said nothing to a visibly distraught @Nikki_Swango as she mistook him for just another bookie at the dockyard fights in Vegas.
All so he would not forgo his chance at a fresh start. All so he would not become the same man he once was.

But fate had a cruel sense of humour. His new crew found its way to Detroit and he followed his new mates to the same streets where his brethren were massacred. If that weren't enough, Nikki invited him to be a guest at her new Radio Station. With the chance to promote his new business it was an invitation he could not get out of.

Sitting on the same chair where he was the night they came for him, Husky looked yet again at the moon and wondered if he could successfully struggle to escape the shadowy clouds that surrounded him, or would he be another casualty that succumbed to the repetitive monotony? Should he let destiny guide him where it will? Let the fates choose ye again?

Pulling his lighter out of his pocket he looked at the now familiar inscription Memento Sumptus and sighed. That was the moment he decided that to him it would not matter what the fates had in store, he would make his own way , whatever that might be and the inscription would serve as a reminder whenever his heart wavered.

Standing up , he took one last look at his bar across the street, in shambles now that the dynamite had gone off and with a wry smile he walked back down.

Rev and HuskyRadhe's eyes met when they were walking on opposite directions of a worn off sidewalk.Cracks and bullet holes everywhere because of the latest shootings around. It was wide and fast indeed no one saw it coming.

Rev heard about a friend of his father did something about the word ''resurrection''.He did not know anything about it but when he saw the man felt something different .He did not know him but something was different.Normally when you see a stranger and look at his/her face you will turn your head in a flash.

Then Rev figured out that there was something about Husky's eyes they were strange. His face and body were standing in a young man's/adults posture  but his eyes man.His eyes were like a dead fish.No glow nothing. It was looking like he is dead.A man's eyes who have been seen shit and walking on the DT sidewalks this is no coincidence .Rev wanted to hear about his story so he respectfully tip his fedora to the man and said ''Hi''.Husky looked at the Rev's eyes and ''Do I know you?'' he asked.

''You don't but i think i know you p--.'' Rev answered.Husky cut the conversation and started to walk off from there but Rev stopped him.''You are Husky right , my father's friend , you must be Husky please say you are Husky.'' Rev said with a cracked  voice was  because he wanted to know more about his father and there was not much people around here to talk because they were dead.''Ahh,you are Joseph's little boy eh?You have became a man i see ,how are you ,are you with a boss ?Don'T fall for my appearance, i was older than you at least a couple of years before.'' Husky said. and they continued to talk about Joseph and the crew he had.

"It was good, getting to know you. But I am afraid I must take my leave now. I leave for New York tonight, have some unfinished business to take care of. Perhaps we will meet again soon." Husky replied and walked away smiling. As soon as he turned the corner he punched his hand into the wall and cursed himself for being so foolish. His sentimentality was not yet fully buried it would seem. When he saw Joseph's lad he felt the urge to talk to someone familiar with his past. That had been a mistake. He of all people knew just how many eyes and ears were on this street when the Rebel's Retreat , now ashes, stood proud. Walking briskly he could only hope no one heard the kid or Husky may very well be sleeping with the fishes soon.
