This has been probably my quietest account in my 13-year stint in MR and have actually really enjoyed staying away from all the politics and the bullshit.

The one thing you are able to spot after 13 years here is that this is a very cyclical game and odds are everything that happens you have seen before in one shape or another. 

If anyone was around a few years back when the community started dipping in size and the gods had a freak-out and a panic and then rogues started popping up and then there was a Made Man vouching system, then there was talk of a reset and then a weird wack bug basically reset the entire game anyways... Well from that list we are definitely on the same path right now, and quite honestly this level of bullshit petty drama is the biggest deterrent of all.

Last time this all happened I did my best to scream and shout and make a noise when everything went tits up. I did learn that this is not the best way to accomplish anything. Ultimately this is their game... (The Gods) and they can do with it as they want and make the decisions accordingly. I was, and everyone else is foolish to believe that the decisions they make are for everyone's best interest.

The truth is this is a business, and as a business model, having a small group of players in charge of the game is seriously bad for the business that is MR. You want full cities and loads of "big" accounts, with a big war every 30 - 45 days to keep the credit market ticking over nicely. The problem is when one group of people gets completely suppressed to the point where they give up, this cripples the business system. (CP/303 etc). This is when things start getting ugly as we are seeing now.

The difference this time is, I can't be bothered to see this go on and I know screaming about it doesn't help so what does?

Hitting them in their pocket. Even though I am not the biggest credit purchaser the credits I buy off the market still fuel a demand for them and this is the only mechanism I have to say that it's not okay. I have no desire to hurl around conspiracy theories or insults, I am not saying this to inflame or further stoke a fire. If things don't change drastically (which they won't) with the internal structures, there is gonna be some big policy changes/weird deaths/odd rules/OP Rogues.

You do realize the reason this game has stayed afloat/active is because of Squishy/Izzy right? He has paid $1000's - and $1000's - of his own money, just so you, and everyone else could log in to this game. Let's not jump on the admin/owner who has literally fed this game for sooooo long. Now he is out of money and the game needs to stand on it's own two feet, which will be an uphill battle. But I can only hope it does. +++
