Gianluca steps into the street followed by Pipoca and OscarTheGrouch. This moment had always ran through his head but he never thought it would happen, yet the time was here upon him and he wanted to make it count. His father had drummed into his head the need to make the first impression count and he planned to. He stepped forward and cleared his throat.

"Ladies and Gentleman"... he pauses to catch his breath "Ladies and Gentleman, I stand here before you to officially open the doors of The Sabella Connection - a subsidary of P & K industries. I am very proud to be the new Captain of Philadelphia. I would not be in this position if it wasn't for the great leadership skills of Godfather Gwarble, who has taught me so well. I am a man of loyalty, respect and honour and expect my family to live by these same principles. We open our doors to all comers and will teach them the rules of the land.

As much as this moment should be a happy one, I can't help but think about the two wars which have ripped through our eight cities. We have been affected in Philly, losing both Stone and Anselmo, who were as brothers to me. I aim to make them both proud.

Our fine city worked hard over the past two wars and showed the true grit and determination that runs through our blood. We would like to thank every member of Philadelphia that put their lives on the line for this city and to those that have fallen, GRYS and may heaven be kind to you.

Before I go, a little about my bloodline - my Grandfather came here from Sicily after leaving the orphanage and he made a name for himself as a petty thief on these fine shores. He quickly learnt the role of the mob and worked his way up in Las Vegas under Godfather Tallien and latterly Don Ragnarok. My father before me also worked in Vegas, under Godfather Cryptic, but from reading through their journals I can tell they both aspired to wear a bold suit. I hope I make them, Godfather Gwarble and Philadelphia proud.

He takes a step back and pulls a cigar from his suit before lighting it and taking a huge breath of smoke. The nerves were still going but the cigar had taken a edge of things, as a small crowd began to form.

Congratulations Don Gianluca, I'm honored to work for you and I wish you the best of luck in your new position.

Costello walks out of a back alley, lighting up a cigarette as he begins walking down the sidewalk. As he approaches a corner he spots Gian Luca, a new underboss in his beloved city of Philadelphia, giving a speech. He walks into the crowd and listens to the announcement, applauding when it came to an end. He approaches the new crewleader and shakes his hand. Then handing the man a cigar while lighting up one for himself to celebrate.

Congratulations sir, you've worked hard for your city and deserve this promotion. My bloodline is new to this great city and I look forward to working with you and your men in the future.

Congradulations on your captaincy Boss Gianluca. It is good to see someone who pays his/her respects by publicly acknowledging those that impart their wisdom and experience onto you. While some focus on the negative aspects of a heritage and/or family lineage, you sir have set a fine example of just what it means to have come from such backgrounds. In an era of thriving young mobsters stemming from devistated cities, I hope they will take into account what is actually taking place here by your words. May you live a long and prosperous life.
