Today, with great honour, I open the Mafia National Lottery, called "The Lions Lotto Picks"


I'll keep this as short as I can so I don't bore you (as I do so many people)

This game is simple, you pick six numbers, if your numbers come up, you win, GREAT!! :D

RULES:
1- Pick six numbers from one to fourty-nine
2- Anyone can play
3- Entry free is $100,000 per line
4- You can have as many lines as you want
5- Lotto draws are called ever SATURDAY! (evening time)
6- After Saturday, all tickets are deleted and the lotto is reset

IF YOU PICK;
- 4 Winning Numbers = 10%
- 5 Winning Numbers = 30%
- 6 Winning Numbers = 50%

Percentage of the winnings are decided by how many tickets are bought, the more tickets that are bought, the bigger the prize fund.


DISCLAIMER: As this office is based in New York, 10% of all proceedings will be handed over to Godfather TheDean. In total, 90% of the money will be given to the winners.

Just so I have this right, if I manage the astronomical task of picking the exact 6 numbers out a choice of 49 numbers, I only get 50% of what's left of the pot after New York takes a 10% cut off the top? The payout doesn't seem to match up with the odds. I think I will limit my gambling to games that have better odds like guessing the surname of the next person to be attacked by a shark.

What would really make me laugh is if someone got 6 numbers but didn't actually put the real lottery on... bad times. 

Sam Carollo looks over the lottery and shakes his head. Based on your numbers the odds of hitting the top prize are 1:14,000,000 the second tier (5 out of 6) is about 1:50,000 and 4 out of 6 is about 1:1000. Lets say you manage to sell a hundred tickets for a 10 million dollar pot, you won't get a top 2 hit in years most likely so you might have 1 person hit the 4 out of 5 every other couple months. As no one wins your sales will drop and pretty soon even a top tier hit will result in maybe a million bucks if you sold 22 tickets, which is the minimum sale you'll need to pay off the original ticket price at the 5% level. Good luck selling tickets, sounds like a cash cow.

Cash cow? well, no one said this world was free. As for the chances of winning the jack pot, it is in deed a low chance, but there is a chance, just like the lotto over sea's. It's not like I take all the money if no one wins it, if I did, then that indeed would be a cash cow as you called it.

There's was a lotto a little while ago (long time ago before we had Godfathers) where the Don who claimed the city wanted 30% of all tickets sold, that to me is a cash cow, this to me is a business and 10% is hardly a scam.
