Diary entry #350

It seems no mobster in the land had the capacity or willingness to put the work and take down the ruling regime over US Crime, so rumour is that gods were called to intervene and do their work for them. Oh, how we are falling one by one to such mysterious circumunstances. When is enough, enough? Oh, gods, when?

I remember the stories my daddy told me... How my grandfather and his friends were betrayed and killed...

We as a family vowed to make our vengeance. We were bloodlined and hunted down but enough of us survived. We didn't bitch and moan, we didn't go to the gods... We forged secret alliances and we vanquished all our enemies, one by one.

Then we did what nobody else did before us... We trusted each other... We didnt turn on each other... Sure there were some bad apples weeded out, but the core mobsters chose to trust each other instead of paranoia and betrayal.

And that was too much for these vengeful gods. They seem to have a financial gain on blood spilling, paranoia and chaos.

I heard rumours everything was offered in sacrifice to the gods to appease them, even resetting the whole crime world (whatever that means, I'm just a simple fisherman, I don't understand fancy words like that), but in a thunder a god spoke that would be unfair for people who devoted so much into the life of crime. Apparently the same god prefers the old pick-and-choose who to strike down/reset.

Who will be next? Will I be next? Can gods look into my personal thoughts? Will they announce to the whole world who my forefathers were? Can someone really declare war on gods? What does that even mean?? That seems very silly.

I dont understand. Are you saying the Gods are killing people because others couldn't manage it themselves?

This guy is a fucking idiot.  He speaks about the Gods and tires to play God himself.  Just like my mother Billie who he killed said

Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated.

This won't stop our families love for this thing of ours.  We know they dying is a part of living in this world.  We will continue to come back and try to make a real difference in this thing. We always come back less naive and stronger.
