Childish Gambino came to these shores when he heard his father was killed. Initially, he thought someone murdered his father. But there was no suspect to be found.

"Hmm... what's this?"

Gambino was going through his father's stuff and found a small journal. He began reading it. Learning how his father stepped up from his lineage and worked hard to actually become a leader in this community. Everything seemed to be going well...

I probably won't live much longer in this world. Finally, I rose to a position through hard work. No handouts like most. Instead, I worked my hardest to contribute to my city and the world I live in. There have been rumors about other leaders taunting the Gods. I have no knowledge about it. No one in my crew was killed for no reason. I only took guns when one person fucked it up for the whole crew. But for some reason, I have a feeling the gods will soon smite us.

What was he reading? His father talking about Gods killing him? Gambino knew his father. Why would his father taunt the gods? Hell, why would his father react to changes the Gods made? It made no sense, but he kept reading...

Unfortunately, I feel my days are really numbered. There have been talks about the Gods smiting all of those who cursed their name. Although I never cursed the Gods or reacted to the changes in our world, I believe that, for some reason, I'll be one of the many killed by them. And the Gods as my witness, I never had journal entries or communications about any blasphemy.

Gambino stopped reading. He knew how the story ended. His father was killed by the hands of the Gods. Nothing was going to change it. Childish Gambino didn't even want to grieve about it anymore. What's done is done. The only thing to think about now was if he should stay on these shores or if he should go back overseas. The last thing he wants to do is die by association.
