I probobly misspelled it but any ways We should implement one so that if the cl gets killed the rhm will take over. This would insure the crew would survive realistically that is how it would happen irl instead of oh look they killed our leader umm I give up no the next up would take charge |

Once a leader dies the organization finds its own leadership. That's the fun of it. A set hierarchy would make things dull. Besides that, members look up to their cls in most cases. Another set inheriter of power would probably lack the type of support the previous leader had, from the members. |

So if a godfather dies, does the RHM get CL or godfather if you're going to use that analogy. |

I know this isn't *EXACTLY* what you're talking about but it's in the same vein so... I think I'll share in case someone else wants to use it. The other day a few of us were talking today about 'the old days' and Crew Structures which no longer exist. Honestly, I found this very interesting stuff because it is something that (as a noob) I know nothing about. Basically (and guys correct or add to my description if I'm wrong or leave something out) its like this...
CREW STRUCTURES Defined as: The hierarchy within a crew (beyond just the leadership) that makes the crew, and by extension the community of MR, a more involved, interactive, and fun place to be.
Structure Based On Rank An example might be that all Made Men in a crew are assigned to mentoring one other newer crew member (minimum) until that person is raised to Made (suggesting the noob is now actually a trusted and knowledgeable member of the crew who no longer needs help to operate or avoid making errors.) Not only does this take weight off of the leadership (who shouldn't need to treat being on the site like a second job) but it also make being a certain rank mean something! Likewise, if someone isn't helping out and doing their part, the Crew Leadership can show disapproval of their short comings with extra taxes or demotions etc. This helps to encourage and active and stronger crew. One might assign a "vice president" sort of position based on rank - as mentioned above - maybe the RHM or Consig should naturally be considered for such a 'assume leadership' sort of thing but that's for a crew to decide.
Positions Within A Crew NOT Based On Rank Of course those things in green aren't official titles - titles would vary from crew to crew based on your location or crew's premise (Example: If a Crew was called "North Pole" then maybe it's Crew Leader would be considered "Santa" and Made Men/Mentors are "Elves" and Under Mades are "Reindeer", the RP Coordinator might be called "Frosty" who knows, the limit is your creativity!)
What's the Value? Everyone loves knowing they're vital to a crew, but being vital also brings with it a promise of additional security. If you're the best damn (whatever) the crew has ever had... no one is going to be voting to wack you too quickly. Get my point? So, I could definitely see how folks might want to hold positions in the crew, if such things existed. Crews can default to being just a place where a group of strangers stand under one flag. Besides letting people feel like their position or title means something, and beyond taking weight off the Crew Leader, having structure means more connectivity as a group. Things like this... well, it helps us build a real community, a place where we really do want to have each other's backs and protect one another. You know - like a real family. ;)
Okay... there's my thoughts of the moment. Take 'em or leave 'em. ;) |

A lot of time the rh goes at the same time as cl to the grave |

Good CLs already have this planned, replacement Auths already pending, hq money set aside, and a current crew list ready to invite at moments notice. Automating this task removes the advantage that prepared crew leaders have over their counterparts. It also puts members in with a crew leader they may not want to be in. I think this process should be manual. |

Well detailed thoughts Lucy. As the HQ is a canvas, all of that and then some can be operational within a crew at anytime, depending on how the leader/s choose to run it. Creativity really is the limit with structures and roles. Some leaders just dont go that far, but some do. As to the topic, I think it should be an open thing as to if someone wants to take the reigns after a leader drops, as it is now. Not every RHM or LHM wants to step into a CL spot. Some just want to work alongside and help further someone else's ambitions, as their role in a support capacity is a strength all in itself. |

| 100% with izzy on this one. Planning is a part of being a good cl/leader. A poor leader should see his organization faulter. A good one leaves seeds of success. | |
