As IceCaps, fresh off the boat, strolled through the streets of Chicago, he was thinking to himself. Thinking of how his father had just sent him to America, after his ancestors had been taking a long break in Sicily.
Ah, how different things are from the stories they used to tell, thought IceCaps. A much different sway of power, many fresh faces, and the families are so different. Things were a lot quieter than he had imagined, too.
And as he walked in to his newly-built HQ, the smell of wet paint hitting his nostrils, he swung his bowler hat up on to the stand, and flopped in to his worn leather chair.
He pondered on how many bloodlines try to leave, and the many reasons they did – even his ancestors themselves thought they could leave This Thing Of Ours; turns out, they couldn’t.
He was back, and despite all the changes, and all the difficulties, there was no other place that he would rather be right then.
It was good to be home. |

IceCaps, walking out of his HQ, smiled to himself, as he smelt fresh bread coming out of a bakers, and saw some children playing in the street.
He skipped up to the street corner, and hopped upon a conveniently placed soap box and asked this question of the world:
So, my fellow Mafioso, has your bloodline ever left these shores, only to return maybe months later?
When, for how long, and why?
Thank you for your time.
He picked up the soap box for safe keeping, and disappeared amongst the crowd. |

My bloodline quits all the time, out of temper, they return to the homeland and vow never to return. Within days, sons of the recently departed return to these shores. My bloodline last quit after my father, a Crewleader in Vegas was gunned down. Days later, I returned in search of adventure. This place is home to me, and undoubtedly it will be home to my son aswell. |

Toby drops his still burning cigar to the ground. He looks around and takes in the surroundings.
It has been a long time since one of my relatives has stood on these shores. Almost two years since a family member has left home.
He now thinks to himself, "It doesn't look like I will be leaving anytime soon." |
