Everything is not made to be said, so id rather not speak on my fathers death. But in regards to continueing our business if our fathers die, be assure that we will always have access to the money. Apologies, -spaceghost-, my sarcastic contribution was somewhat ill conceived considering you are still in the mourning period for your late father.

If I may ask a pertinent question, which I hope yourself or your esteemed business colleague may be able to address, why would I come to you for a loan, when the longer established LA service is available?

All you offer is $10,000 more on the maximum loan available, though this is countered by the considerably more punitive measure of adding on 20k per hour for every hour an overdue loan is unpaid. Coupled with the prestig of CTOAN's rank and position compared with your own, the LA service seems infinitely preferable to me.

Thats where your wrong my friend, we give 25K more that LA does and that also seems to be the issue with your opinions. Thats Los Angeles, were Chicago. We operate a bit different.

It's not just a matter of who will loan out the greater amount though. There is an element of perception involved, and whilst I can't speak for anyone else I know that I personally would rather borrow cash from someone who I believed to be reputable and able to uphold their side of the deal. This perception may be formed by a number of things, including the rank and financial status of the lender, their family's ability to back them up and perhaps most importantly of all, general presentation. Sad though it may be, a shiny, well run storefront is often likely to do better business than the gibbering man advertising his wares on a piece of plywood leaning against the rear of his car, even if his prices are preferable. And I think this may be fundamentally where your problems lie.

My error on the prices, though I still feel LA's tarrif is preferable - the lower max amount is still outweighed by their less obvious strongarm on unpaid amounts as far as I'm concerned.

I do want to congratulate you both on your new business ventures, but I do have one major question about it. Like Branston has already stated, you do offer more than the LA loan business, but other than that why would one want to come to your business first. Obviously 100k is a significant amount compared to LA's 75k, but the interest rate is what I'm confused about. My math may be a bit wrong here so bare with me but if I borrow 75k from LA and I pay it back a day late, I pay 40% of the original loan assuming I was a day late I would pay 105k. On the other hand if i borrow 75k from you, and I am a day late, I have to pay 43500. I just want to know why would one person come to you first when they have to pay over 4 times the amount if they are a day late. If you wouldn't mind explaining it to me I would be grateful.

My late fee is only 20K per hour mate, meaning if my maximum price is 100K + my 20% interest fee, if your late by an hour your total will be 140K. Thats simple math, 100+20%+20=140K.
