Durden spawn change Started by: Stranger on Sep 13, '17 23:23
So I had an idea about durden spawns. I think users should be able to spawn durdens whenever they choose to. I know many of you are probably thinking but there would be so many bgs left and it would get stupid. But my suggestion is when a new spawn is produced the old bgs disappear. Now your probably thinking but what if someone did 3000 spawn and then someone did a 100 after so 3000 bgs would disappear, this wouldn't be the case. My idea is that you have to accommodate the bgs that are gonna disappear so if theres 2000 bgs laying around still you have to accommodate for 2000 durdens make sense ??

Obviously this would tell ya how durden bgs were available so you know how many to spawn.

Whats the pros for this?

To me the pros of shooting bodyguards heavily out weigh spawning another set of durdens.

Report Post Tip
That depends on what side of the spectrum you are on. You could be a guy with just a few kills and only winging bodyguards. To me you would rather shoot durds it just depends on what side of the game your in.

This seems a little weird ,  do the bodyguards in a sense decide they dont want to be bodyguards and promo themselves to actual durdens?

I see no benefits from doing this. If you are training a gun then shooting Bodyguards and Durdens is essential,  not one or the other. When they are around you shoot them. Somone shooting is not gonna say "I dont feel like shooting these 2k durds left ill just hit bodyguards for now. "

Report Post Tip

Termination, actually they might. Sometimes its more in a persons interest to shoot at BGs than it is to try and shoot at Durdens, especially if they aren't maxed as yet

As someone else mentioned, it all depends on what stage your gun is at really.

As for the ideal itself, I dont feel its needed. The system works as it is right now, no need for any amendments to this.

Given I dont perk Olivia.

If person A  rolled 80% Marksmanship , they are better off shooting durdens than bodyguards.

Im some cases , when the Marksmanship is under 50% ideally you want to use mia or ranges till you are  -20 or so, then start shooting Durdens.  I still dont see how this benefits anyone trying to build a gun.

The whole idea is basically given the user the option to decide if they want more durdens than actually having to wait 3 or 4 days.
Report Post Tip

Sorry friend but the idea is to actually spawn more durdens, while the game dissolve the remaining bodyguards.

I don't think you know the value of shooting bodyguards. The ability to perk on them is a great advantage.

Report Post Tip
I have 11 years experience I do know the advantage of perking bgs but as a newbe just starting out you barely gain anything from it even if you do perk a few times. My idea was just give the users the option if they do wish. It takes around 60-80 kills to fully shoot a bg. I know I would rather take a full +1 at a young age rather than maybe .5 or .25 or even a .1. I understand yes when your killing bgs and perking you can get 3 or 4 kills. But im on about the otherside of the coin too.

I know I would too. Everyone would.

If you've been here for 11 years and still think a wound on a durden bodyguard is less than .5, then your leadership has failed you. Your hit squad leader has failed you.

Similar to if I shoot a Godfather Chairman from my Earner rank, I gain a +1 to my wack stat. There is no difference in reward if your gun is not maxed, or if your gun has 1,000 kills. You shoot a durden bodyguard, you gain .5. Even if its a wound.

Report Post Tip
Umm I think you need to have a look at that my friend its defo not a .5 if its a wound. I know how it all works and I know forsure.
Report Post Tip

Well since you know how it all works and you know for sure, I'll take your 11 experience advice.

Thanks for informing me.

Report Post Tip

Well I have nearly 15 years experience and I can confirm that MichaelLaMotta is correct in this instance. And since I am more experienced I am right.

Duh.

Sorry, Stranger, but you've clearly not had proper training in the matter :(

Report Post Tip
So your telling me that if someone shoots and wounds a bg its still 0.5 towards there gun and a bg kill is the same. From what I remember it was dependant on the bg level and what type of wound, kill ect it was.
Report Post Tip
Kills are .5
BG kills are 1.0
BG wounds are 1.5

Get with the program people
Report Post Tip
It seems it has all changed lol from what I remember
Report Post Tip

seems like some incorrect information being put out here

Report Post Tip

No, we are not saying that if you shoot any bodyguard and wound it, it's .5

Specifically DURDEN bodyguards will always give you a .5, whether you hit, wound, kill, whatever. Through rigorous testing and collaboration some of us have figured this out. I urge you to test it out sometime.

Next time you start up, pick a roll that gives you roughly 10 kills to max. Only shoot at durden BGs to max. Now, by your number, it would take ~40 hits to max depending on what type of wound. But if you were to try it, it would only take 20.

Ragnarok is trolling :)
