How laughably naive of you to think I would have taken down the Mountain.

I've waited for the dust to settle a little bit before I decided to venture forth here. But, I suppose I should at least do the whole eulogising thing, lest people attempt to brush away probably the greatest victory ever scored in MafiaReturns.

We started with nothing, just a small captaincy in New York, before you became a Boss and I the Captain. Then you became the Godfather of Los Angeles and I the Street Boss and finally I became the Godfather of Philly. It has been a long and satisfying journey for me and I really couldn't have asked any more from you. I believe we were an excellent team and the fact that you retired undefeated reflects just how effective that partnership proved to be. I'm disappointed that Robert_Guiscard, Hoopi and RichardEnnebocks fell before we achieved our ultimate goal, but each played their significant part in getting us to the finishing line.

There are people in our history who have done great things. It was pretty much a universally accepted fact that Deimne was 'unkillable' and The Flying Monkeys had built an enduring empire that could survive anything. Deimne himself once joked that it wasn't just him; it was the 10 guys waiting in the wings that you would have to take care of if you wanted to tackle New York. It was a behemoth, stacked to the hilt with more bodyguards than any city ever before and stacked with more huge guns than any city ever before.

And yet, here I am standing on the other side of the conflict. I don't think I can recall a more significant victory that came about through hard work, intelligent strategy and lots and lots of training. Not many people believed it was possible and nobody before us even bothered to try. I knew all along it was capable of being done and we did it. The magnitude of this accomplishment is truly staggering.

Philly, New York, New Orleans and Chicago. We completely changed the face of MafiaReturns and you have ushered in a new era that has been greatly needed and was long overdue. Whilst I was in Los Angeles and after I left, the city continued to be the well organized unit that we needed to be and the loyalty and dedication of those people who served the city is a testament to your skill as a leader.

It was the plan all along for you to retire once the task was done and it is something that has been more than earned. Nobody can ever doubt your achievements and I am glad to have played a part in them. I look forward to seeing you on the other side, but for now it will have to wait as I still have things I need to do.
