Phoning in Bella Vista Started by: Espresso on Sep 17, '17 01:01

“Good luck out there, my friend.”

Those were the last words Peroxide heard, as Espresso saw him off on his way to his new headquarters, watching corner-side as the vehicle drove into the distance before it promptly crashed into a lorry, killing Peroxide and his driver instantly.  The young, promising crew leader disappeared from the world as quickly as he entered it.

The mountain of telegrams and cards containing well-wishes that Peroxide had hoped to respond to were relegated to an enormous filing cabinet that Espresso had purchased, custom-made for the office in Bella Vista that he had furnished for him.  Espresso kicked the cabinet closed, sitting in the office chair as he swiveled it back to the desk, staring at the single document that rested on the desk; a property form that listed Mighty Morphing Flower Arrangers, LLC as the sole heir to Peroxide’s property.

A shell company that was run by an up and coming con-man from Kampala, George_Agdgdgwngo made a name for himself in Philadelphia with insatiable ambition and a smooth tongue, pioneering a method of cold calling the indigent, the naive and the gullible into giving George their banking details with the promise of untold wealth from the far east African country.  As a lender of last resort, George made a tidy fortune in property ownership - from bad liens to client accidents.  George’s immediate crime family was no exception.

Espresso stood up from the office chair and watched as movers hauled boxes of rotary phones and small desks into the compound as a burly man walked into the office, carrying a briefcase.

“Good afternoon…” the man said.

“George.”  Espresso replied.

“Yes..” George began, gently setting the briefcase on the desk.  “..the moneys.”

George clicked open the briefcase and presented a small fortune of cash to Espresso; likely more money than George had ever willingly parted with in his life.

“Covering security and keeping the police out of our line of work is a tough business in Philadelphia.  Arya's been out haggling with city hall and their council for the past week..  whatever operation you’re running here, don’t burn the down place, yeah?” Espresso said as he flicked through the bills to ensure of the correct amount.

“Welcome to Bella Vista.”

George gripped tightly onto the briefcase full of money. He did not want to part with it. At all. But he eventually gave way when his old friend Espresso looked at him and sighed. George let go of the briefcase finally. All those monies that he had scammed out of everyone and anything worked so hard for, gone in seconds. Oh well he thought, totally worth it!

Thank you Espresso. You have always been far too good to me, even when it was not returned.

George was of course talking about the time Espresso asked to borrow ten million Ugandan dollars ($10,000) for a short while. And George said no. What a dick George was at the time for doing that. Still, he was a changed man now and would help Espresso however he could, no matter the cost. Okay maybe the cost would and could come into play. But he would still help him.

The Mighty Morphing Flower Arrangers will set up shop in Bella Vista, and partake in many criminal activities. Murder, drug smuggling, pimping, extortion.. you name it! But the one we will pride our self's on.. Calling the elderly and vulnerable and taking them for every penny they have!

You see, to those who do not know who George Agdgdgwngo is, now you will finally know. He is arguably Uganda, and Africa's most notorious con man. He has scammed thousands and thousands (probably a few old ladies that fell for him being a Nigerian Prince looking to share his cash. Idiots. He isn't even Nigerian!)

As for the name, you might ask, what the fuck? Well you see, to be a successful Con Artist you need a good distraction from what you intend to do. Ours, is all about Floral Arranging. When really we just want to take your monies and never speak to you again.

George shook Espresso's hand one last time.

I hope that myself and my new found Family of scammers will do yourself, Arya and the rest of Philly proud!

Even being prepared for the announcement in the streets, Oddy found himself late to the arrival. Pushing through with a box of hand rolled cigars for the new family head in town. Only the finest quality tobacca' from Oo-Gan-Duh, the old man at the docks had said. Oddy hoped George would enjoy the reminder of home as he climbed the ranks doing what he loved to do across the pond. As he made his way closer Oddy smiled, offering the box with a handshake to follow.

George our families have worked together a lot through the years and we have always considered your family an extension of our own. I'm very happy to see you moving on up in life here in Philly, as much as it saddens me to see you leaving the Ol' City district. I gotchya a little something to remind you of home, dunno if you're much of a cigar smoker though m'friend. I can always talk to my guy about arranging something else, just say the word.
