Ravi had been sitting in his big velvet, red chair ever since he had heard about it. It had almost been a full day, but he didn't feel like moving. He stayed there, replaying the news in his head, thinking about all the ways he could've avoided the whole fiasco. He had one job, and he had failed at it.
He bit his lip, holding back the tears. He couldn't cry, not now. A wave of anger exploded from the deepest, darkest place in his mind, making him grab the hand rests until his knuckles where white. He calmed himself down with big breaths, and looked at the pistol resting in the night table next to his chair. He quickly shook his head, in an attempt to chase the vile thoughts that popped up in his head.
What the fuck was he doing? Crying like a pussy in his chair. He couldn't recognize himself anymore, he had a fucking life to live, a city to help and protect. He had to get out there and stop being such a whiny bitch.
May you rest with the angels, Tyrion. The best crew leader I've ever had, and an amazing husband. <3 |

Richard had been away from these shores for far too long. He regretted leaving with every bone in his body but if he hadn't his loved ones would have perished along with himself. At least he gave them all a shot at better life, one he could not provide. Richard slumped in the back of his cab, drinking heavily from a flask as the bumpy car sputtered along. Ravi. His dearest friend, the one who survived. Ravi. The one who supported him at his darkest hours. Ravi, the one he regretted leaving the most. Richard was on his way to The_Kid's home first thing after he touched the ground. He was having major misgivings about the whole thing. How could be expect Ravi to forgive him for leaving for all this time? Richard didn't want forgiveness. Not truly. What he wanted from Ravi was completely selfish, if he was being honest. Richard couldn't stand being away from him any longer. It hadn't occurred to him that Ravi might not want him here any longer. By now his hands were shaking and the dull flask seemed weightless in his hands. He stared at it for awhile before taking another drink. No, not weightless. His hands are numb. Was it always this cold in Chicago? Richard couldn't remember anymore. "Hey! What are ya doin' back there! Get yer head outta yer arse and pay me!" Richard snapped out of his daze and looked out the window. Ravi's house. How long had they been here? Richard didn't even remember taking the first turn after the airport. He met the gaze of the driver and tossed him is pay, plus a tip. With shaky hands Richard shoved his flask back into his coat pocket and straightened his tie. What was he doing here.. this was a mistake. He had to leave the city. His thoughts were racing but his feet were steady. He pushed through the door to the lobby and took the elevator to the floor that held Ravi's room. He gave the door a quick rap and waited. And waited. The seconds turned to minutes and Richards nerves grew more anxious by the second. He knocked again, a little louder, and softly called Ravi's name, waiting for a response. He checked his watch and turned to stare at the elevator. There was still time, Ravi didn't need to know he was here.. |
