Capazzo sat by a stack of papers, writing and stopping to read, then writing some more. It was hot so he took off his suit jacket and threw it behind the chair. He took a puff of a cigar as he sat back down. Rereading the invitation he nodded in acceptance. It was a invitation of sorts, to the next Chicago Poker Tournament, it would be the third one. The first two were big hits and he figured it was time for another. He got the okay from Godfather Tobias and the casino would be set up for the night. Some of the shores highest rollers sitting down, having drinks, smoking cigars and not to mention a boat load of money up for grabs. Capazzo knew the demand was getting higher and higher. The word was spreading and the underground game was becoming popular. He wanted to do whatever it took to keep the game going and make sure he provided top notch service to his players. Capazzo took a step back for a moment and gave the invitation a once over. Perfect! Capazzo thought to himself. Now there were only two things left to do....One, deliver the invitations and two.....shuffle up and deal. |

:The telegram came Express, which, as always, was a thrill for George to receive. The paper had unusual weight in hia hands and he opened the message with excitement. An invitation to an executive poker game from his old pal, Capazzo: :George didn't hesitate to reserve his place at a table. He didn't consider himself to be too much of a gambler, but he did enjoy playing poker from time to time, and he had heard stories of Capazzo's games. He was eager to join in: :George sends a messenger to arrange the money transfer immediately. Then sets to work reading up on poker strategy in anticipation: |

| Thank you for organising this Capazzo, always love a good gamble. Sadly I have to be up earlier tomorrow, those prostitution rings won't run themselves you know. But I look forward to taking part in the next one. Enjoy it tonight, I've put a bottle of whiskey behind the bar for you all. | |

Capazzo looked around with a smile on his face. There was food all over, from the tables to the floor, wine and liquor bottles scattered through out the area. The smoke filled room was indeed beaten down but Capazzo still couldn't help but smile. The 3rd Capazzo Tournament was in the books. It was a fine game that saw George_Costanza and Clint battle at the end, after playing mind games and going back and forth Clint was able to use his massive chip lead to pull out the victory and take home over one million dollars in cash, George cleared a respectable amount clocking in over six hundred thousand dollars and even Capazzo managed to take home some cash coming in 3rd place. It was indeed another successful tournament, one that was even graced by Brooklyn boss CletusKasady who managed to take 4th place and win a touch over a quarter of a million dollars. Capazzo look around again, it didn't matter that the place was a pigsty, he'd just hire a few people to give it a thorough cleaning, enough to be spic and span again because next week there would be another game, another set of players, another hefty payout and then another and another and another. As long as people were willing to put the cash on the table, lay the chips and play the cards Capazzo would always be there to provide a game. |

The stink of stale cigarette smoke and whiskey was overwhelming as Geordie opened the door to the bosses casino. Furtively looking around his eyes darting, surveying the carnage, whilst his brain tried to compute just what the hell had gone on here. His eyes landed on Capazzo sat at one of the tables, feet up and smoking a cigar, looking very happy with himself. Geordie made his way over to him, trying desperately to avoid the remnants strewn across the floor. This was going to take some explaining.... |

:George chuckles evilly as he counts his cash. It wasn't an easy table, so he's please to have pulled some money from the game. Poker, with its tact and subtleties, was growing on him as a microcosm of This Thing of Ours, and he looked forward to the next tournament: "Be sure to let me know when you're hosting the next one, Capazzo!" George yells as he disappears out the door. "And I'll be there!" |

Capazzo leaned back on his chair taking a puff of his cigar. He put his foot up and continued to take it all in. It was a long day, he had worked long and hard to pull everything together with the help of Wrench from Blue Note Label. As Capazzo took another puff of the cigar the door flew open, Capazzo quickly reached for his gun but then after a sigh of relief, he noticed it was Geordie Geo was the Left Hand of Godfather Tobias so Capazzo sat up and gave him the respect he deserved. Geo had a perplexed look on his face. Capazzo already knew what this was about, Godfather Tobias liked to keep his places of business in a well ordered, well fashioned, neat and clean manner and this was definitely NOT that. Capazzo quickly got up and gave Geo a hug. "How are you Geo??" Capazzo didn't even give him a chance to speak, mostly fearing Geo would be pissed at the condition of the area. Capazzo then grabbed stacks of hundred dollar bills. "It's ok Geo, I know the place isn't exactly.....presentable?....yeah let's go with presentable, but I assure you I have the clean up crew coming in just under a hour or so. They'll have this place so clean you'll be able to eat off the floor. But...." Capazzo grabbed a few more large stacks of money. "THIS my friend was what this night is and will always be about, cold...hard...fuckin....cash...and don't worry, I already have Godfather Tobias's cut ready to go. Just then Capazzo saw George_Costanza walking by and evilly laughing. Capazzo waved to him and nodded when George asked to be notified of the next game. Capazzo smiled and looked at the stacks. The next game? Hmm...Capazzo thought. One thing was sure, another game wouldn't be too far down the road.....hell.....it was just around the corner. |
