MAGNUM MANNY'S  GUNS  and  AMMO - DETROIT

a Shadowy figure appeared from the main entrance and started to invite people in with a welcomed warmth. The shop was owned and operated by Manny_Mo and his associates and offered an all round Professional Service with client confidentiality the backbone of their success.

The range of weapons on offer could only be limited by the imagination and back-order availability. Importing guns from across the word through hard earned contacts and a few senators signatures, Manny could source any and all weapons. Inside the shop the eastern and western walls were packed from top to bottom with all kinds of pistols and rifles available today.

In the North West corner there is a small passage called Shotgun Alley packed with single, double and semi auto shotguns from farm to military caliber. The North East corner has a solid oak service kiosk manned by 2 burly men in suits who were ordered around by 2 smaller men wearing small green caps and white overcoats. The sign next to them read G-Smiths. These 2 extra ordinary gunsmiths were known as Dick and Harry, they had a combined gun smith knowledge of over 80 years and as Dick once said he could even build a canon with his eyes closed. Always smelling of gun oil Harry kept trying to blindfold Dick to test his boast.

On the South end of the Warehouse next to the entrance there was a few marble tables with a small self service coffee station. The little purple sign above it read, "Gentleman please feel free to drop the wife here while you enjoy your shopping experience." Being forward thinking Manny knew this would be a success and were thinking of adding some baby prams for even more comfort.

One of the best features available was a live firing range to test out the new merchandise as it arrived. Clients went crazy for this feature and a small Que could already be seen 15 minutes after the shop opened. In the South East corner a dark closed of area with a sigh that read "AMMO by appointment only" could be seen. Through the dark tinted windows a burly shadow could seldom be seen with men in suits entering every so often. Manny had a ace up his sleeve when he hired Dr Heinrich Mauser. A formidable munitions expert that could make and enhance any kind of ammunition. But access to him would be be approval only.

A burly figure with a scar walked outside passing through the queing crowed on to a small wooden box.

Tommy walked in briskly. His pistol had jammed during the last job and he had to ditch it in a hurry. Without it he almost felt naked every time he stepped out. Still, word had reached him of a new weaponsmith who had opened down the street. Anxious to see his wares, Tommy had decided to stop by.

"Signor" He said with a nod to the man behind the counter as he began browsing the goods. He held a few pistols and revolvers in his hands, balancing them to feel the weight, before aiming them at a nearby wall to calibrate the sights. His mind could not be made up. He knew he would have to test out a few before choosing a suitable replacement . Looking around he wondered how he might go about doing that.

Mickey had just finished selling a pair of pocket .38 specials as he turned around he saw a very well dressed man in a fedora. The man looked heavily connected. Mickey pressed a special service button then looked upstairs as he saw the door open Manny stepped through and Mickey gave him a special nod.

Manny descended the stairs in his usually brisk pace and reached the service counter.

Having a few quick words with his salesman he thanked Mickey," I'll take it from here. "

Mr Tommy_Vercetti so good to see you, Mickey said something about a new gun. We can definitely assist you. If you like your previous gun we have top notch smiths who can service and repair any weapon if there is some sentiment attached to.

Otherwise I can recommend a special 1911 Colt. Called Excalibur. My 1 smith Dick found a way to push the .45 ammo to 12 rounds with a new aluminum magazine thin body frame while my other smith Harry tweaked the trigger pull to 1 pound and lightened the frame for an increased rate of fire. *speaks in a soft voice My munitions expert Dr Mauser learned about a new chemical method in Belgium that's a few years before its time. A 'tracer' bullet. Guaranteed to be unstoppable unless they are wearing solid metal plates. I will throw in 50 rounds for Detroit.

Manny walks with Tommy to an open lane on the test range and hands him Excalibur.

Please take a few shots and tell me your thoughts.

Manny stands back.

"Ah Signor, you do know how to tempt a fellow enthusiast. I wonder if I could trouble you for a pair of those Colts you mention. I would like to get them customised though. Ivory grips with my insignia inscribed on them" Tommy said as he showed the man a sketch of his old pistols.

"As for ammo, I fear I am a conservative in that respect. No tracers for me sadly. Poison dipped bullets are my modus operandi so to speak. Nevertheless, perhaps I could get in touch with the good Doctor, trade recipes ?" He asked curiously. If what was said was true, Dr Mauser was a truly talented individual . Yet he was skeptical because someone like that would obviously be kept hidden in a secluded location away from prying strangers such as Tommy.

"I'll be by in a week to try out the guns. Kindly let me know what you decide. Regardless of your choice, rest assured , you've earned a new long term client." He said with a smile before stepping out.

Report Post Tip

Manny takes the sketch and ponders for a moment then smiles " Mr Tommy rest assured, Dick's son Valentino is a talented in house artist and engraver. He does exceptional work. "

Manny picks up the phone and calls the back office " Mauser, ... yes.... special order .... that's right.... no no... poison tips....   Oh... from where....  Europe?.....  no one state side?.... oh  he's the best?... very well.... you available through next week?... That will work. Thx "

Turning around he opens a floor mounted safe and picks up a thick ledger, opens it up in the middle and starts scribbling away then looks at Tommy and speaks in a hushed tone. "When would you like to meet with Dr Mauser, I know he has knowledge of poisons but told me if you want the best untraceable poisoned tips he has a specialist in Europe he works with. Turnaround time is less than 7 days and he can make numerous kinds of highly effective poisons. I can scribble you in anytime next week, how does Monday sound "?

Appointment made the book is closed and stored behind the counter in the floor safe.

"If there is anything else please *waves at Mickey to come over * please let Mickey know and it will be taken care off. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship"

Extends a firm handshake to Tommy.

Report Post Tip

The shop was more busy than usual and Manny was receiving an influx of calls regarding a silly problem plaguing the underworld.

After calling a late night meeting with his 2 smiths they came up with a solution to a life and death problem. Innovation would solve this.

Dick and Harry had been testing the new prototype all night and could report successfully to Manny the next morning.

After getting in touch with his marketing manager Jason X, Manny approves and releases the add . Also sending some samples out to various Detroit members - JoeKingHarvey - HerbalTheLeaf - Savagery - TheMadHatter - Neilyc - DionBrook - Esther - Riley - Lupara - TheBibel - to name but a few.

4 Trucks filled with heavily armed men stops in front of the shop and quickly continues to load all the weapons stored onsite into the trucks.

Once all the equipment and weapons is loaded, Manny appears from a close by waiting vehicle to address his men.

Brothers, times have changed. Once upon a time this city treated us well, with love and respect. But those times are over now, please do not let hate and anger blind you. This is the way of our world. Send the trucks to Vegas, we have opportunity waiting there. I will meet you there in due time.

Manny lights a flare and flicks it into the building before entering his car and speeding off to the Airport.

Goodbye my Love.

Horatio stepped out of the airport and smelled the fresh air of Detroit. An anoymous tip had told him that coke was very expensive there - a great way to sell the drugs his Corrupt Agent had brought him. Ah, how would Horatio ever survive without his CA?

First thing he noticed when he was walking around in the middle of Detroit was all of the "Closed" signs. They were all around the place. Over there, over there - even that gun shop Manny used to own!

He quickly made his way over there and looked through the windows. Everything was gone. The guns, the ammo, all of the equipment. The people. Only a few pieces of furniture were left behind, and he felt kind of sad for them. They looked so comfy. Especially that small box in the back of the room. He would fit perfectly in there, and he was tempted to smash the windows to get inside just to take a nap while waiting for the next flight. He had some important stuff to attend to back in Las Vegas, but that had to wait.

Curiously, Horatio walked up to the door and gently pushed it. The door creaked open. Wait, what the hell? Did Manny_Mo forget to lock this place up before he left, or had someone been picking locks all around town? He would probably never find out, but both scenarious seemed likely.

He stepped inside and made his way towards the box. There was just something about those boxes... something that would always make him comfortable. He was unsure about what it was exactly.

Before long, he had found a pleasant sleeping position and took a long nap to shorten the waiting time.

Report Post Tip

Having found trespassers on the other abandoned business sites he made it a point to head back to 1 of his old properties.

He left it burning when he last left but was surprised to find it only half destroyed. The fire fighters in this town surely are capable. He surprisingly see the door open and wonders if hat rabid dog also made a turn here, or if he could still be inside. With his trusty Colt in hand he moves inside and starts to clear the building room by room.

As he was almost finished he heard a faint but familiar purrring sounds. Can't be he thought, stumbling through his old packing storeroom he finds a familiar feline sleeping in one of the boxes.

HoratioPicasso what the hell are you doing here? It's dangerous these empty buildings, I almost shot you. Again ? Again with the boxes. No ! Get your shit together I have a room at that fancy new hotel you can stay there for the nights.

Manny's rude awaking of Horatio didn't seem to upset him too much.

Report Post Tip

Several days had passed since I accepted the job involving killing an executive member of Millbury's Bank. Still hadn't obtained the equipment necessary for the job. I was just strolling downtown in Detroit with a pocketful of loot I stole from helpless old ladies.

After several minutes pondering the equipment I would need, I made an end to my stroll when I noticed a gun store literally standing next to me. I quickly rushed on in and started to browse around.

"Ah, rifles...rifles." I mumbled in search of them.

Report Post Tip

Manny appeared behind Fargo displaying a sinister capitalistic smile.

Good day sir? Like the new store? I had it rebuild after an unfortunate fire incident.

Manny waves his arms all over the shop displaying numerous rifles, pistols and knives.

Or are you perhaps in need of something more special? More.... specific?

Manny smiles as he waits for Fargo's reply.

Wild_Kitten saunters into the building to look for a gun.  She proceeds to handle every weapon in the building, making Manny_Mo extremely nervous.  Not knowing her that well, he doesn't understand that she knows what she is doing.

Hey Manny, can I try this one out?

Wild_Kitten takes a small shotgun off of a shelf and proceeds to load it on the spot, much to Manny_Mo's dismay.

Report Post Tip

She walked in to buy some ammunition for her weapon, and noticed the store had been destroyed. There were no weapons, no ammo, and dead bodies everywhere.

She backed out, and decided that as soon as there was a flight available, she would leave this terrible place that reeked of death and destruction. She was honestly getting scared for her own life.

Report Post Tip

BlackAtom had been working hard in the streets and within the confines of gambling parlors. He saved his money. It was finally time to acquire a gun. Since this is his first, he isn't picky.

After finding out about this gun warehouse in DT, BlackAtom paid a visit.

His first thought upon entering the facility was that he 'should have saved more money.' Window shopping for a few moments led him to the standard Colt 1911. He bought his weapon at an affordable price and left the warehouse.

He kept this location saved in his mind so that when he was ready, he would return to purchase a custom fully automatic weapon.

Report Post Tip

Normally Maddy would have one of her associates handle the purchasing of the ammo but today she decided to take some time to herself and go see what they had. She walked into the warehouse and laughed when she saw the sign hanging in the corner for the men to leave their wives there. Clever. She shook her head and walked around admiring the many different weapons and ammo they carried. She found the owner and asked what he would recommend before making a decision on a new weapon. He showed her a few new models they had but she was a simple woman and liked the feel and weight of the one she had instead. She picked up a few for some of the crew to try out instead. Thanking the man for all of his help she took her new items and left.
