Diamonds Are Forever! Started by: Capazzo on Oct 05, '17 02:52

Capazzo sits in an office. He loosens his tie a little bit as he intensely studies a few pieces of papers on his desk. He makes notes as he goes from page to page. He then leans back and contemplates.

Some things had changed recently, he went from The Broadway Mob to a temporary crew and now he was with Godfather Tobias. The Divergent.

This was not the end game for Capazzo, he had his sights set on more things to further help Godfather @Tobias and the city of Chicago. The wise words of the Godfather rang in his ear daily. It was words of wisdom and encouragement.

Capazzo knew it was time for another job. Charlotte Jewelers. They had some of the finest jewelry in town. In addition to their current stash Capazzo was tipped off on a huge shipment arriving in about two days. He didn't want to waste any time. This was a big score and he knew he had the brains and power to pull this off.

He quickly jotted down some notes. He had a few girls go in and case the store out. From the information he gathered he knew where everything was, all entrances and exits, bathrooms, he understood how the counters and registers worked and most importantly the small vault located at the back of the store. That was the money. The new shipment would surely be tucked in there somewhere.

Capazzo devised a plan that he felt would best work to accomplish this. The first thing he needed was to gather the best of the best for this job. He looked at his list.

@LuckyLucy
@Wrench
@Fat_Sal
@Joey_Clemente
@Finnigan

5 of Chicago's finest but there was something missing. Capazzo needed two more people. A light bulb quickly went off in his head as he added two more names. Two good friends for old times sake.

@Nikki_Swango
@Cesare_Torretta

There, the team was assembled, all that was left to do was contact everyone, plot out the gameplan and meet at the job site. This was only one of many jobs Capazzo had in mind to do. Jobs were endless, they come and go but diamonds....Diamonds are forever.

A FEW DAYS LATER IN FRONT OF CHARLOTTE JEWELERS...

Report Post Tip

Earlier in the week Joe's buddy Capazzo contacted him about a job he needed Joe to do. The pay was good and it was simple, Joe was to create a distraction so Capazzo and the rest of the crew could get inside a jewelry store without any trouble and take some goods. Joe was feeling really good about this as action was running slow the past couple weeks and he needed the cash and when Capazzo called there was always easy money to be made.

Joe pulls up a little bit away from the jewelry store so not to many people can see him get out of his car. He walked toward a pizza cart that was stationed out front. Joe walked up to the cart and was greeted by Sal.

" Let me get a slice  "

Sal nodded and handed Joe a slice of pizza, Joe took a bite, he chewed it slowly for a minute and then spat it on the ground. He then screamed out

"hey what the fuck is this huh you trying to kill me you trying to hustle me huh that chesse is fucking old im gonna vomit all over the fucking place what the fuck's a matta with you???"

Joey throw's the pizza past Sal's head and then says

"I should plug you and put you in the river for that you know what that taste like?"
Joey goes around the cart and get's in Sal's face the commotion can be heard from inside the jewelry shop, the employees take a peak and look out but do not exit the store.

As Joey_Clemente berates and insults my cooking I couldn't help but to think why I was wheeling around a stupid pizza cart. It was Capazzo's request I do this. I thought he had something up his sleeve. Maybe a snack after a heist? That didn't make seance. Nah Capazzo is much more clever. As Joey gets in my face I recognize him as a friend of Capazzo. I can see whats going on. I wink at Joey and he sends me a nod back. I play along and started to yell at Joey.

"Vaffanculo you stupid idiot! This is good pizza! The cheese was made fresh this morning with fresh milk! I should make you into Swiss cheese for insulting my cooking!"

Grabs a slices and gobbles half of it down in two bites and tosses the rest in the face of Joey. As the half eaten slice of pizza smacks Joey in the face two ladies from the jewelry store walk out to see whats going on and asked me what was going on. I explained to her that this customer  bought a slice of my pizza and said it was crap. I grabbed another slice and started eating it. As I was eating I looked across the street and saw a cop car. As I finished my slice I thought I would offer the ladies one.

"See I'm not dead. This pizza is just fine! This guy is just an asshole! Here ladies have a slice on me. You be the judges of my cooking."

The ladies slowly started nibbling on the slices of pizza. One smiled and told me it was delicious. The other with a full mouth nodded as she gobbled her slice down. As the ladies munched on the pizza crust Joey swiftly walked down the sidewalk shouting obscenities and making obscene gestures at me. I looked up and saw the cop car across the street take off and go up the street out of sight.

"Thank you Ladies for the complements. I knew I wasn't crazy. That guy was the crazy one. I'm just trying to make a living selling pizza from my cart on the streets and that man insults me. If I ever see him again and he tries to by my food I will let him know his business is not welcome. I make the cheese fresh and only use the best freshest ingredients in my cooking. Nothing but the best. That man was just crazy."

The ladies looked at each other as I was defending my cooking and one asked if they could get a couple of whole pizzas. I smiled and looked in the cart.

"For you ladies I will make you two pizza's fresh right here in my cart. It wont take long. You can wait here and have a cannoli and a cup of coffee while I make your pizzas!"

The jewelry store ladies looked at each other and one said "yeah we can wait here. It's so slow in the store right now. Nothing better to do and you are right here in front of the store anyway." I smile, hand them each a cup of coffee and a cannoli. I take my time preparing the pizzas. I ask after I put on every ingredient if it was enough or they wanted more. It hadn't taken me this long to prepare a pizza for the oven in a good 15 years.  The ladies sipped coffee and nibbled cannoli as they watched me cook.

When Capazzo had written to Wrench about a possible jewellery store heist. The only thought Wrench could assemble was that night he worked with Capazzo in retrieving some paintings, and the bloodbath that proceeded it. Wrench already knew this was no ordinary heist, if Capazzo was involved it was going to be something big, something loud, shame he couldn't hear it. However, Wrench only recently promised himself to lay low for a bit following multiple murder investigations by the FBN, but how could he resist a Capazzo OC.

One thing led to another and before he knew it, Wrench found himself on a rooftop in broad day-light Chicago. He was surrounded with familiar faces he had worked with before the likes of LuckyLucy, Cesare_Torreta, Nikki_Swango, Finnigan and Capazzo himself. They all hopped from roof to roof like a band of Parkourers, reaching the particular roof of the diamond jewellers. They all crouched behind the ledge overseeing the street below, there was JoeyC and Fat_Sal causing a ruckus baiting out some staff from within the store. Maybe too much of a ruckus as Wrench spotted a cop car pulling to a halt across the intersection no more than 200ft away, facing towards the jewellers on the corner.

He insisted they get a swift move on and he himself started to work on the opening the trap door that led down into upper room of the jewellers. First he had to get through the secured door of the rooftop hut that held the trapdoor inside. It was a fairly modern pin tumbler door lock, but nothing too specially for wrench to be concerned about. He first carefully placed his torsion wrench into the lock followed by his rake, after a few minutes of stroking the rake in and out trying to grab a feel for this stubborn bitch of a lock, he finally managed to seduce it into unlocking its pins and twisting open.

Inside the dark small shed-like space laid some piping and a trapdoor, with no visible entry from this side. Wrench went digging back into his bag of tools and pulled out his crowbar, using the little light from outside he took aim and jammed the crowbar into the trapdoors edge. Pushing down using all the force he could summon, the trapdoor started to open, as the wooden exterior chipped away. Not being able to hear the loud racket he was now creating he popped his head down into the hole to check visually for any staff on that floor. Clear... lets go... lets go... he said... in his head before waving the rest of the crew around.

Grabbing the heavy duty rope from inside his bag he tied it around some nearby thin pipping and used himself as an extra anchor with the rope around his waist. The crew needed no explaining as they all seamlessly cued up, ready to climb in. First was the overly cocky Finnigan, with his smooth and swift climb down. Followed up by LuckyLucy, who took slightly long scaling down the rope - perhaps trying to not ruin her outfit?, who knows. Up next was Cesare_Torretta who had put on a few pounds since the last time Wrench had seen him, as he felt the chafe now burning through his jacket. Capazzo finally made himself useful and took some of the load off Wrench. As Nikki_Swango started her climb down only to pause giving her usual cheeky wink and grin at the two of them.

Wrench now exhausted, rested to regain his energy back along with Capazzo who reminded roof-side with him. Wrench lacked certain senses to be allocated the role of lookout alone, so Capazzo was needed for a working pair of ears. The robbery was now down to the lucky four who had entered the jewellers......

Cesare was excited to finally have another job, and with some of the old crew no less. When Cap got word out to Los Angeles that there was going to be a jewel heist, he couldn't say 'yes' fast enough. He and Nikki had traveled back out to Chicago to participate and deal with other pressing matters, and now he found himself in the jeweler's store. It was nostalgic in a way, to see everyone in so...professional a capacity.

He immediately made his way to the display cases near the main booth where he knew the most expensive pieces would be held. Wrapping the bag he carried around his fist, he broke the display with a swift hammer motion and began to grab every gem, jewel, and scrap of gold and silver he could lay his hands on. A large emerald pendant, a string of pearls, a grand diamond bracelet, they all fell into the bag as he shuffled along the display. Then he saw it. A ring. He picked it up between his thumb and forefinger, bringing it up to his eye in hopes of seeing it in the light through the windows or ceiling. The stones flashed and glimmered in front of his eyes which refocused on Nikki moving across the back wall, inspecting the options. He separated the ring in his pocket and continued stuffing the bag with gems of all sorts.

When he'd cleaned out the first display, he decided to take a peek out of the front windows to gauge how their diversion was working. Outside, Joe and Sal seemed to be disputing something with some women spectating and drinking coffee. Sal handed them both a cannoli. 'Good man, Sal, that will keep them occupied.' Cesare thought to himself. There wasn't anyone alive who could resist Fat Sal's cannolis.

As he watched, he suddenly spotted the police parked across the street.

"Shit..."

Some luck. Robbing a jeweler with the cops not but 30 paces away. The police officers stepped out of the car, causing Cesare's heart to skip a beat. They made their way across the street right towards the store. Cesare was just about to call out when Sal offered the officers some pizza and cannolis as well. Guess they had just been hungry. They were close though, so they couldn't start getting reckless now.

He turned around and watched the rest of the crew getting to work. Nikki had her back to him. He felt his pocket.

Cesare took a couple steps towards Nikki and touched her arm, causing her to spin around suddenly in surprise.

"Nikki," he started, hushed so as to not have his voice travel outside, "I know we already decided to get married, but I couldn't get you a ring in Venice..."

He produced the ring in the palm of his hand and showed it to her.

"...so would you make me the envy of all other men, by wearing this?"

He smiled at her,

"It should keep all these dirty wise guys from making passes at you."

The case Nikki approached was still unlocked; apparently one of the girls had been cleaning and re-ticketing items before the commotion out front had erupted, judging from the polishing rag and tiny stickers scattered across the glass surface. Grinning, she squatted down and swept the entire case's contents into her sack with a satisfying 'whoosh' sound, not even stopping to appraise any particular items. The side of the store she was on was dedicated to rubies and emeralds, and she was quite sure each piece would prove to be valuable upon later examination.

As she stood, Cesare touched her arm, and when she turned to look at him, he pulled a ring from his pocket as he spoke. She heard the word 'married', 'ring', and 'Venice' before it dawned on her what was happening. Cesare Torretta was proposing to her.

In the middle of a robbery.

It was so...them. Only things missing, really, were a few gunshot wounds, attempted assaults, and a hand torch. She smiled, and as she opened her mouth to deliver her witty answer, she happened to glance over his shoulder and spot a black and white across the street, parked so that it was facing the front of the store.

"Cops!!" She called out tersely, but loud enough for the others to hear. The word had barely escaped her lips when she saw Finnegan stroll by casually before sliding virtually unnoticed into the alley next to the store.

"And a Finn," she added with a chuckle.

She spared a wink at Cesare before grabbing his arm and pulling him back towards the entrance point where they'd come from, stopping just long enough to push over a small revolving rack of high-end watches. The carousel popped open generously upon hitting the carpeted floor, spilling its contents, and both knelt to snatch up the timepieces while the rest quickly finished looting the cases around them.

"And...yes," she quietly replied, leaning over and kissing him.

As Finnigan strolled by the front of the jewelers, he spied the lovely Nikki Swango and others ransacking the place much to the complete ignorance of those going about their daily lives outside. He almost offered a cheeky wink in her direction when the chaos exploded behind him.

The sounds of all hell breaking loose could be heard for a quarter of a mile in all directions as glass windows were shattered, fire hydrants erupted, trashcans lit on fire, and just overall chaos ensued. The Irishman grinned in spite of himself.

Ah Finn my boy, to be young again and just be happy to piss off any adult you could. The little bastards are doing what they do best. And damn if it isn't perfect timing.

Not fifteen minutes before Finnigan and made the acquaintance of a local teenage street gang. He had introduced himself as a gentleman on the in and had slipped the youth a couple hundred in exchange for them creating all manner of bloody mayhem in the desire that they would distract any coppers within half a mile to respond. They were more than eager to accept and as Finn sat there briefly and observed the cop car speed off in the direction of the commotion, he felt his money had been very well spent.

The Irishman strolled, if not almost strutted, down the alleyway and into the back of the jewellers.

You never would have been able to manage this level of a fix back in Boston. These gents and ladies are proper villains and you best not muck it up. Time to show them what you are made of!

Finn walked through the main room of the jewelers feigning complete and utter disinterest in the smash and grab that was going on before him. The thieves were loading up sacks and sacks of anything that wasn't nailed down and moving with the precision of a well oiled machine. A couple of them looked up at him, nodded, then went back to loading up more hard earned loot into their bags. The Irishman continued his languid stroll to the backroom where his partner in crime was waiting but not before grabbing a rather exquisite looking sapphire necklace.

This looks like something Tommy might like for an anniversary present. I think I finally found something his wife might like. Son of a bitch still owes me for that crate of brandy though. If that bastard wasn't my cousin...

Lucy was there waiting for him with a “what the fuck are you so late for, I'm going to bloody kill you” look that seems to be present on every Irish woman that had ever known Finnigan. Literally the number of woman on that list would be staggering if ever properly tallied up. He merely smiled at her with that cocky and knowing smile that melts many a girls heart, knowing full damn well it would have no affect upon the fiery red head.

He sighed to himself aloud as if it was a shame, focused on the vault dial in front of him, and then said, “Now what was it again? 5.....12....no 22? Oh no, that's right I remember now.

He turned the dial first to 9, then rotated the dial counterclockwise to 25, and lastly turned it back clockwise to 16. The Irishman turned towards Lucy and paused for dramatic effect while looking very much a man on the verge of something great and pulled down on the lever.

*CLICK*

As the vault door gave way, Finn could hear Lucy start to say, “How the fu....” but he had already turned around and put his finger upon her lips and proceeded to hush her like a school teacher might a fused up child.

Finnigan chuckled as he said, “The answer is Emilia. And my what a vision she was! It would interest you to know that she is the jeweler's daughter and she likes to frequent one of the bars just down the road. Apparently she has a weakness for Irish scoundrels and cheap french wine. What yours truly managed to gleen from her besides the outline of her backside...is that the combo to the vault just happens to be her birthday! What a loving and caring father to set the combo to his daughter's birthday? Wouldn't you agree?

“However she was a blonde and I myself am much more the brunette or....RED head type of man myself so it would have never worked out. You wouldn't happen to know any good women like that around by chance, would you?” he asked the very much married Lucy while adding that very cheeky wink of his.

Before she could respond, he darted in the vault and commenced robbing the place blind. The mediocre and common jewellery was out front and in the vault was where the true treasures lie. It was diamond heaven in the vault and Finnigan wasted no time as he started clearing the place out. Lucy joined him with a slightly pissed off look. The Irishman would like to think it was because he had gotten to her but more than likely she was just PISSED at him for being such a self centered fool.

As he went to grab the last diamond he already noticed that Lucy was darting out of the vault, completely the professional.

Fiery. Passionate. Deadly. And Efficient. And I get stuck with Italian bimbos....oh well. There are worse fates in life. It's time to get out of here then. Hopefully they are done out front.

As the Irishman walked up to the front he noticed that everyone had everything pretty much wrapped up. He worked his way to the front of the store and scanned the streets. Not a cop in sight and the two lovely ladies who had been working inside were still distracted by Sal as he was finishing up his pizza. Finnigan was starting to wonder why the hell Sal had never made him any pizza when....

SHIT!!! One of them is Emilia!! Best hurry up before Sal is done.

Finn said to the others, “It looks like the coast is clear. We should probably get out of here while Sal still has them distracted.”

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $30,000 Tip

Sometimes a girl just had to get the hell out.

Thank God for friends.  Lucy was hopping rooftops, chasing after Chicago’s finest … criminals.  The wind in her face leaping distances Frank would CERTAINLY not approve of, running into a situation that could well end in a fire fight that he’d frown upon as being too dangerous; Lucy hadn’t felt this good since she pounded the good doctor to death on the shores of Ireland.

Now there was a happy thought.  One less scumbag polluting an otherwise beautiful life.

While leaping from building to building had given her an adrenalin rush, going down the rope through the skylight … that felt much more frightening.  She had time to consider the height, the result of the fall – it honestly scared the piss out of her for the only reason that really mattered to her anymore.

Cesare proposed to Nikki in what was probably one of the sexiest moves by a gangster since Frank’s seduction of her over the corpse of the hitman who thought he had a prayer of getting close to them on their wedding night.  It made her smile.  For all the man’s worries, she knew Nikki loved him and she was happy to see her friend smile that way.

Then there was Wrench.  If she’d ever had a brother, which she’d longed for her whole life, Wrench was exactly what she felt he’d be like.  Protective, funny, sweet… and murderous when he need to be.  Her own bloodlust, these days, was something worthy of note.  Perhaps, she supposed, it was a desire to prevent another Philly with these people who she’d come to love as she loved the Faceless Men… perhaps it was because she had so much more to lose than ever before.  Whatever the motivation, the result was the same, Lucky Lucy was done playing the victim in her own story.

Capazzo was here too.  While Wrench was the sort of guy she dreamed of having as a brother, Capazzo (in contrast) was more the reality.  He seemed to have her same excitement for crime, unchecked bloodlust, and charm to spare – and not to be blunt but she’d had it pointed out to her on more than one occasion that it was probably this charm that was the real reason she’d survived so many wars and purges.

There was no reason to look down the end of your nose at a talent.  Some men cracked knees, other’s safes… Lucky Lucy was fair to middling at finding her way into the hearts of people and that had its own place in a mobster’s tool box.

This heist was straight forward.  Outside Fat Sal & JoeyC were doing the most amazing job of distracting people… right up until the point where they weren’t.

“COPS!” She heard Nikki calling out tersely, warning everyone to work fast and discreetly.

She’d been listening to Finnigan brag about his night’s exploits with the store owner’s daughter – now here was a man after her own heart.  Finnigan was violent and skilled and a fellow Irishman.  What wasn’t to love about a guy who had those qualities?  She also loved how he flirted with her endlessly but always seemed to know there was a line.  If he took it too far, she might punch him and he did NOT want to see what that looked like.  He’d have to explain to all his drinking buddies how a 5-foot-nothing twig of a gal broke his nose for getting handsy.

“I think we’re good…”  Lucy said noticing them walking away from the building.  “… let’s get the last of these.”

She smirked at that thought of punching Finn, but knew better.  It wasn’t in Finn to disrespect a woman in that way.  She knew what men who did that shit looked like and it sure as hell wasn’t Finnigan.  He was a criminal – but even criminals had lines they wouldn’t cross.

Finn, Lucy supposed, loved women too much.  He loved to hunt them, to tease and tempt them, and to impress them… but taking them?  That was beneath him.  In fact, she suspected it was so far beneath him that he (perhaps most among her friends) was going to be on board with her plot for vengeance against Durden.

Lucy paused at the one lone empty case in the vault.  Why had they stored an empty case in here?  Odd.

“Let’s go, Red.”  Finn called out to her and he began to move towards the front exit.

She hated to admit it, but being around her friends again had two purposes.  Diamonds was only one.  The other… was to make sure her ties to them were still strong – strong enough to ask them to possibly die for her quest to secure her new life going forward.

It was no small thing to ask people you loved to die for you, but Lucy was running out of options.  She had literally crisscrossed the globe and two generations of Fazzones had tried to end this thing without sacrifice and they failed.  Utterly.  She wouldn’t make that same mistake.  Blood called to blood.

Lucy noticed the cops had doubled back!  “NOT THAT WAY FINN!”  They must have figured out the diversion tactic was just that, and chose to come back for the real criminals.

Lucy and Finn raced towards the skylight impromptu exit they’d created, past the vault where Lucy looked at that empty case one more and noticed … the base seemed thicker than the others?

“It’s a ruse.”  Lucy said aloud.

“What?”  Finn stopped and looked at her.

The case had a false bottom!  It wasn’t empty at all, but a safe inside the vault, a hidey hole for the REAL treasures.  In truth there was no time to go back for it.  She should have kept on to the skylight and got the hell out straight off, the cops would be on her in a moment, but she hadn’t seen the Queen Anne Star.  It was one of the largest diamonds said to have been in the shipment that came in yesterday, Cap had talked about it so enthusiastically she couldn’t wait to put her hands on it.  THAT had to be the place it was stored… it was the whole reason they took this gig.  Without it, all the risk, it was for nothing!  Lucy wasn’t leaving without it.

“We left something… meet me at the rope!”  She whispered hoarsely to Finn, as he stopped to follow her in.  Finn hesitated only a moment, watching her go back into the vault, but then did as she asked.  The whole crew knew she was a professional – as good as any of them at what she did.  This was well within her skill set.  Just get the false bottom open, get the diamonds, and get the fuck out.

Lucy worked fast, she used a thin piece of metal to jimmy up the fabric covered false bottom of the display case and sure enough there it was.  With the false bottom removed she could see the glass door and beyond it a King’s Ransom in diamonds!  AND among all the little ones, the biggest diamond she’d ever seen!  Seven Carats, surly!  It was mesmerizing and about to be hers.

“Come to Lucky you big beautiful diamond…”  Using her elbow Lucy smashed the glass - there simply wasn’t time for her usual finesse.

A deafening noise sounded, lights flashed.  “Damn it.”  She cursed – it was an alarm!  No one said this place had an alarm!  Grabbing the diamonds as fast as she could stash them into her bag.  Turning on her heels she sprinted for the rope dangling through the skylight, calling out, “Let’s move boys and girls!  Mom knows we got the cookies out of the jar!”

Lucy put the bag of diamonds in her teeth and began scrambling up the rope – one, two, three, four feet up.  Below her she was sure she heard her friends encouraging her…

Five, six, seven feet up.  Almost there.  Wait… no… were they … were they trying to warn her!?!

The rope broke.

“LUCKY!”  Someone from below called out in terror, but she couldn’t register who it was - Lucy was in free fall.  Frank’s words echoed in her head as she fell.  Even in her own mind that husband of hers was being over protective… but this time, he was right.  She was in REAL danger and there was no dodging gravity no matter how charming or brilliant you were.  Lucy braced for the impact with the hard-tiled floor but it did nothing to soften the blow.  Her head rang as it bounced with a resounding crack – her world spun as the rope spooled on top of her painfully.  She moaned, “What’s happening?”

Scared, confused, and not quite sure what she was doing Lucy scrambled painfully to her feet.  Looking around there was no back door to run out – whatever she was doing a moment ago, a back door was surly the right choice ALWAYS… GOD! But that horrible alarm was making it hard to think!  Couldn’t someone turn it off?

Nikki came up to Lucy and looked her in the eyes.  She smiled.  “Hi Nikki… you look pretty today.”  She said, her pupils dilatated wildly.  “Can you find Frank, I don’t feel so good.”

“Lucy, hon, look at me.  We’re on a job.  Focus!” Nikki knew the lights were on but no one was home in Lucy's head.

“A job… I did a job once…” Lucy babbled to herself, struggling to understand where she was or how she got here, forgetting everything she knew about what had been going on up until a few hours BEFORE they’d left for the heist.  She felt lost and utterly confused.  Lucy turned away from Nikki then, still completely unaware just how deep of shit they were in.

“Can someone turn that alarm off please?  My head hurts really bad…”  Lucy covered her ear and closed her eyes.  If she could just get a quiet moment, maybe she could think and all of this would make sense again.

Cops were about to come in the front.  There was no door on out the back.  Their escape rope through the skylight was broken; sometimes a girl just had to get the hell out, but no matter how good she was at her job, a severe concussion could shut it all down in a heartbeat.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $30,000 Tip

Wrench's eyes nearly bulged out of its sockets as he watched everything take place. The alarm had sounded, the rope was broken and there was no path to escape. Lucy had taken a hard fall and was clearly in the middle of a serious concussion. Wrench and Capazzo looked on with concern still on the roof, everything was falling crumbling. Wrench looked at Capazzo and the two without thinking clearly  and only on instinct decided to jump in. Wrench went first, he landed on a semi sturdy stack of crates. Capazzo however went to the edge of the roof and looked around.

Meanwhile Wrench made his way inside the jewelry store and immediately rushed to Lucy to help her. Capazzo finished looking around and slowly made his way inside the jewelry store. Wrench was tending to Lucy, Capazzo quickly looked outside as the two store workers began yelling. @Joey_Clemente and @Fat_Sal did their best to keep them out. Fat Sal was heard yelling not for them to go in it'd be too dangerous.

Capazzo saw Lucy's state and quickly rushed over to her. He tried grabbing her to help her up but Wrench pushed him away and tapped his shoulder signaling he would be taking care of her. Capazzo nodded.

"Okay, okay."

@LuckyLucy, @Wrench and @Capazzo hung around Chicago a lot so it wasn't out of place for them to be so concerned about Lucy. Capazzo took this time to collect his thoughts. He looked over to @Nikki_Swango and @Finnigan who ran around looking for a exit. He then looked around to the rest of the team, everyone was trying to find a way out, but there was nothing. Before Capazzo could turn around the two police officers that had been seen several times across the street came storming in.

"Freeze assholes!....FREEZE! PUT THE SHIT DOWN!!!!"

One officer yelled as the other officer cleared everyone away from the area, he moved them to the next block to get out of harm's way, once the area was secured he joined his partner.

"Hand's up in the air you fuckers, we got you now!"

Everyone slowly dropped their things and lifted their hands in the air. It was all over. A big chunk of Chicago was going to the slammer. The bosses were not going to like this, this was a colossal fuck up and someone would surely pay the price. The police officers went outside and blew a whistle suddenly in no time a van pulled up.

One by one they handcuffed the mafioso and loaded them in the police van. People nearby tried to get glimpses but they were too far away to see any real action. Capazzo was the last man to go in and the officer violently threw him in the back of the van with the rest of his associates. With that the police van drove away.

During all the commotion JoeyC and Fat Sal managed to quietly disappear saving themselves. The two store workers walked into the jewelry store and it was completely empty. The police officers took all the stolen items in for evidence. They ladies walked around and saw that the vault was cleaned out as well. Tons and tons of people flooded the crime scene to get a glimpse of something juicy but all they were met with was emptiness.

One of the store workers became emotional and started to tear up. A random lady tried to console her.

"It's okay honey, the cops have them now."

The lady shook her head.

"Yes you're right. Thank god for our alarm system."

The other female store worker paused for a second and looked at her crying coworker.

"Brenda, wait a minute....when the alarm sounds we are suppose to call the police department and if there is no call then they come. The cops were here instantly as soon as the alarm went off."

The crying girl stopped crying and became confused.

"I don't get it...if you didn't call the police...and I didn't call the police....who called the police?"

20 MINUTES LATER IN A UNDISCLOSED LOCATION

All the members of the Diamond Heist exited the police van one by one not handcuffed and free. There is one officer with them, Officer Sheston, who tapped Capazzo on the chest and spoke.

"Well that worked like a charm kid, it's a good thing you had my team there as a backup plan."

Capazzo smiled and nodded.

"Freddie you're damn right and I have your cash here just like I promised. Where is our stuff?"

Officer Freddie Sheston grabbed bags and bags of diamonds and jewelry and gave it to Capazzo but he had one last request.

"One more thing kid...my price...DOUBLE it."

Capazzo immediately became enraged.

"The fuck you just say to me?"

The officer smirked and replied with cockiness.

"Do it or I will throw each and every last one of you greasy cocksuckers in jail and throw away the key."

Capazzo's face turned red, he slowly reached for his gun but @Cesare_Torretta noticed and quietly waved him off. Capazzo adhered to his friend's quiet request and stopped. He then paused for a moment and smiled.

"You know what, heh, its your's Freddie."

Capazzo snapped his fingers and his associate Adz came running with a pile of cash in a duffel bag. Capazzo gave it to Freddie.

"There it is...with some interest huh."

The officer looked in the bag, it looked way more then he originally asked for so he wasn't too concerned of getting stiffed. He got into his van and drove away while laughing and yelling one last message.

"The BOTTICELLI'S give their best."

With that the officer winked and laughed as he drove away. Capazzo shook his head, he couldn't believe it. He then looked at Sal and gave him a nod. Sal smiled and nodded back as he responded to Capazzo.

"In place Cap..."

The police officer drove on the way to his house with a gigantic smile on his face. The money he made today was enough for him to work a few more months then suddenly retire due to 'health issues'. This would secure a future for his family. He had it made and he knew it. What he DIDN'T know was Fat Sal had given the word to Vinnie to follow the officer. What the officer DIDN'T know was tonight was the night Vinnie would become a made man.
