As the crowds began to gather from the latest rumors to circulate the Streets, Varys stepped up to address the mass of people below. 

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I appreciate you taking the time to turn out here today." 

After clearing his throat, he continued.

"Unfortunately Chicago has suffered a number of setbacks in previous weeks, most recently with the death of MissNiki during the war with BlackBottom, Detroit. Although these have dealt big blows to the community, we must continue to expand our operations here in the Windy City in order to rebuild and thrive."

"With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that Godfather Tobias has given me his blessing to set up my own organization directly under him in The Loop."

"I am highly honored to have such an opportunity bestowed upon me and by working with the my fellow leaders in Chicago, I am determined to ensure that our great city grows and thrives in the weeks and months that are to come."

Varys raised his glass to the crowd.

"The Little Birds is now open for business."

It's been a long time coming Varys, but there aren't many that will be more pleased than I to see you strutting your stuff in Bold.

Congratulations on this new position within Chicago and I look forward to watching you grow further.

Lucy watched as another member of Divergent stepped out to take a role in leadership, a risky thing - but especially of late.  Tobias' people were willing and able to give it their best and with the right support Varys could be incredibly successful and profitable for everyone in this new position.  Lucy silently said a prayer for his safety and success.  There had been too many funerals these days.  Everyone could use a rest.

"As I said in private,"  Lucy smiles warmly, "I wish you the very best in this Don Varys.  I have no doubt that Chicago is a stronger, safer, and more profitable place with you in this role." 

Lucy slips Varys an envelope.  "I hope this helps out in getting set up.  I know it's a costly thing to do.  I only wish that it were more.  Call upon me if you have needs.  While I understand that leadership can feel like a very lonely road - the Chicago families never stand alone.  We're all praying that yours is a tale full of success."

Lucy raises her glass, "To Don Varys' Little Birds, may they help fly Chicago profits - and all of her families - to new and greater heights!"

Kid listened to Varys explaining he was going to set up in The Loop.

”Congratulations! It is well deserved! I am very excited to work alongside you and I know you will be a great pillar for the wind city!”

Aegon had recived word and arrived early for the announcement. He watched and listened has Varys spoke. 

"Master of whispers your name is renowned with little birdies all throught the lands. You have demonstrated wise council and intelligence in these times I am very pleased to see you be given this opportunity."

King Flippy Nips decided to take the long trip from the planet Pluto to the planet Earth today and he stumbled upon some folk whispering about the new guy in Chicago. When he went to investigate he was pleasantly surprised to see Varys making a speech in the street. 

Congratulations Varys it is always a welcome sight to see your lineage dawning a bold suit. To the future and the growth of this thing of ours!

King Flippy Nips raised his glass which seemed to be filled with some blue sort of concoction.

Cletus claps his hands at the announcement made by the esteemed Varys. Walking up to him after he finished he gives him a firm hand shake before speaking "Congrats my friend there is no better man for the job and I look forward to watching Chicago flourish with you as a new leader there."
