Having always struggled with purchasing foods or goods in in the windy city, Manny couldn't help but be upbeat when he saw a new hotel in his latest visit to Chicago. Splurging on a 5 star restaurant wasn't something that he was used to but if it meant he could get the 1 sandwich that made this city great then he would break the bank.
Stopping in front of the multi story skyscraper he couldn't be helped but be impressed. Chicago has done well in recent years and the marvels of engineering advancement could be fully appreciated. There was numerous emergency services vehicles with blaring sirens outside of the hotel causing quite the scene. He spots what looks to be a local police sergeant in charge of the scene and after a $20 handshake buys some information from the underpaid public servant. " Good evening young Lady, any room on the 10th floor will do. I will be staying for 2 days. I am exhausted from my recent travels please have room service.... and listen properly please. Send me up an AUTHENTIC ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICH. Do NOT order in from that fine Italian dining cafeteria down the road. They seem to not be authentic. Can you do that? "
" Is there any rooms available miss? " |

Horatio walked past the burnt down hotel and stared at the few drugged people standing there and talking with imaginary people. If only I could have what they're having, he thought to himself. A mouse in the corner of his eye distracted him, and he ran off again. |

Papa Nurgle was taking his usual stroll when he saw the dismantled Diligent Hotel. He scanned the debris and found a shattered cement block that can be a great seat. Without hesitation, Papa Nurgle sat. He knows that someday a new hotel will take the place of this shattered one, perhaps even a greater establishment. He took out a cannoli from his pocket - a special one he got from Sparelli's. Nurgle finished his cannoli, wiped off his mouth, and walked away. |

Capazzo walked by to see all the mayhem going on, people leaving money to imaginary hotel workers, others drugged up and one other even eating a cannoli. He looked around at the destruction and carnage that was the Diligent Hotel. He found a beach chair among all the wreckage. He reached in and pulled it out but it was stuck. Capazzo used extra force to get the beach chair out but it wouldn't budge. Finally he saw it was caught in between a leg and a arm of a dead body. He reached in and nudged it loose. He took the beach chair and put it in the corner of the street so as to not interfere with any traffic. Capazzo snapped his fingers and a random man appeared with a drink in hand. Capazzo nodded and took the drink...Cognac on the rocks, just the way he liked it. He took a sip and lay there taking in the beautiful Detroit sun and totally blocking out all the dead bodies that surrounded him. "John Dillinger invited me here once, at least I upheld my promise to come visit." With that Capazzo lays back and takes another sip of his drink and enjoys the rest of the afternoon. |

Nikki strolled by after a random tax pickup. Spotting Capazzo in a beach chair in front of a burned-out establishment that still seemed to be getting a lot of play, she grinned and took a seat on the concrete next to him. "Whose leg you gotta hump to get a dry martini over here?" She asked playfully, spotting the cognac in Capazzo's hand. |

Nikki stared at the burning fellow. Just some friends, sitting around a campfire, shooting the breeze... "Things are going alright...but how about you? How's Vegas? Have you started up something I can come see?" She asked, hoping for another casino. Maybe one not so...blown up, though. Although watching the fiery, chaotic destruction had its merits. |

Not everyday that you came to Detroit and watched a bunch of Chicago gangsters hanging out at a blown up and burnt out pile of rubble, but today was that day... One in a beach chair drinking, two sitting on a curb beside the beach chair, and one pissing on a small flame as it fizzles... John smirked, trying not to laugh. "Wot friggin' 'ell is t'is? Hmp... Wonder if ya could be so drunk your piss ignited embers?" The Englishman shook his head and passed by, though he didn't miss a chance to take a look at the female with them. "At leas' t'ey got a pret'y lass wit'em... Poor girl." He chuckled and hurried on, offering a nod to any that caught his glances before he turned a corner and was gone... |

Cesare wandered back to the wreckage of the hotel, carrying some form of liquor in a sack. He'd just been drinking indiscriminately for some time. Alcohol either soothes the inner demons of the soul or emboldens them... Cesare's were emboldened and he wasn't sure how long he'd cling to sanity. Suddenly he turned towards the wreckage and threw the bottle into it, "FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!" He grabbed at pieces of rubble and threw them at the broken boards and shattered glass until his strength was spent. Then he sat on the curb as a tear rolled down his face. |

Ilaria leaned against the crumbling remains of a graffiti wall, watching the flames dance over a bombed-out building. Fire made her happy; it was purifying. Cleansing. The cigarette between her fingers burned down to the filter on her last drag, so she flicked it away and turned to leave. As she did, she caught sight of a man near the wreckage. An important one, judging by the quality of suit on his back and the liquor in his hand. Seeing the moment for what it was, though...you don't interrupt these things. As she passed behind him, she tossed words over her shoulder instead. "I'm sorry for your loss." |

Maddy was taking a break from all the craziness that was a life of crime by driving around. She stopped in front of space that was still just rocks on the ground. What a remarkable hotel this once was. She remembered passing it many times when she was younger and it saddened her to see it still sitting here flattened to the ground. A worn out sign was posted "land for sale". She thought for a second then instructed the driver to head to the bank. She will purchase this space and make it lively and wonderful once again. |

"I'd like a room for the night, it doesn't matter what kinda room it is, as long as it's located on the east side of the building." |
