Michael Fastbender had been training for his big day. When Big Papa Promotions picked him to be their debut fighter, he felt a great sense of pride and the searing heat of ambition. Gone are the days of getting wasted on the streets. No more street hustling - this time, the boxing ring will be his official battleground. After pondering about the great opportunity that was bestowed on him, his mind shifted towards his enemy.

Joe "Torpedo" Carbone

Carbone is a true-blood citizen of Chicago, an ace fighter, and one of the many unnamed buttonmen of the fallen Disorder regime. While Carbone still needs to be recognized in the Cosa Nostra, he has already proven his mettle as a seasoned brawler and killer. Nicknamed Torpedo for his precise KO-punches, Joe Carbone is a force to be reckoned with. 

Fastbender broke a sweat. What is the chance of winning with a seasoned toughie? Fastbender is a killer with his swift, acid-like punches, but he was never inducted in the mob. He knows his place, but he has always been silent, almost nonexistent in the Windy City. Nevertheless, he's more than willing to give everything. For glory. For honor.

A series of knocks on the door broke Fastbender's mental concentration. He just finished his hearty breakfast - 3 eggs and a mashed potato. Just one more set of physical training and he's good to go. He rose from his seat and opened the door.

"Ready for your big fight?" It was Papa Nurgle in his flashy, white suit. "I'm not supposed to visit you here, but I wanna make sure you're ready."

"I'm ready sir. Coach Fargo gave me everything that I need. From training down to mental preparations, he prepped me up."

Papa Nurgle smiled. "Good, good. Now head out there, your team is waiting. After the match, we'll talk about many things. But you have to win!"

"I will." Fastbender declared. Either way, win or lose, he'll get something from the Big Papa.

Into the Ring

Michael heard the loud cheers of people from both sides of the ring. Big Papa Promotions managed to secure a whole block for the match, and many people were excited to see the match. Fastbender accepted the fact that Carbone's fans shouted louder. As he climbed into the ring, he also saw Carbone. Charming, almost like a real ladies' man, head colored blonde. Michael studied Carbone's muscly physique. He deduced that he must never take a single punch from the Torpedo. 

Seconds passed like eternities, and the commissioned announcer did the intros.

"On the blue corner, weighing 165 pounds, hailing from the heart of the Loop, Joe, The Torpedooooo, Carboooooneeee!"

Cheers erupted like battlefield explosions. Fastbender gulped.

"And on the red corner, weighing 160 pounds, a challenger also from the Loop, Michael, The Lightning Romeo, Fastbendeeerrrr!"

Likewise, cheers erupted...but with a lesser impact. Just like firecrackers covered by a cauldron. 

As the quick rules were laid down, Fastbender's heart thumped like crazy. In front of him is the Torpedo with deadly punches. Will he ever have a chance against such guy?

Finally, the referee signaled the FIGHT, and Fastbender's journey towards glory or doom has begun...
