Noticing that his Jack Daniel's on the rocks is empty, and the leaders have finished speaking, Zig-Zag stands up and motions for you to follow. Kid, they've got family business to talk about, best we get out of here before we over hear that which shouldn't be over heard. Now, you've got the basic introduction into how to not get busted by the cops, and into the families, now, I'm going to show you what you will spend most of your time doing. He motions for you to get back into the car. You're riding down the road, again losing track of where you've been, when you notice the scenary changing. Girls in lots of make up and short skirts walk up and down the sidewalk, Zig-Zag catch's your stare. Don't worry about them right now boy, you won't be allowed to touch that business until you've gotten enough respect from the boss for him to title you an Earner. Shouldn't take long if you do things right, though. Finally he pulls the car over on a corner. I stop here because this street has everything. Alright, listen close kid. He points to a feeble old lady walking alone near a dark alley. You should start off with those old birds. Their grip's a bit worn with age, and you shouldn't have all that much trouble snatching that purse away. It won't have much, but it'll get you through the night, a make the boss semi-happy, as you pay tax to him for whatever you take. He motions to a corner liquor store, a drunken homeless man stumbling out of it as he speaks Those right there, they hire the dumbest employees. You walk in there with a gun, it doesn't even matter if it's loaded, if you've gotten decent at stealing the purses you'll put up enough fear in the cashier for him to fork over the cash to you. Again, tax up to the boss. Boss has got to make a living, too. Finally he motions to a conveniance store down the street a ways. Those stores are the hardest stores to hit. It's still only petty theft, but you'll have to practice scaring Jesus out of the liquor cashiers before attempting one of those places. They get the most business though, so they've got more loot in their till. That means more money to you, and more to the boss, which in turn means a happier boss. He starts the car back up and takes off again. Now, I'm not done yet. Remember those hookers? Yea, like I said, you get the respect, and become an Earner, and you'll get your chance at that gig. But there's more then those, you're getting up in the Felony crimes range, so the risk is higher, but the pay is better. If you're ever lucky enough to become a Made member of a family, you'll be entrusted with doing a bit of Burglary. This pays very well, kid. Very well. But, the greatest gig of all, kid, is when you become a Boss. That's right, a Boss. Pulling Truck Heists. Those pay extremely well! The car suddenly pulls into a dark alley, and stops. Zig-Zag looks at you, speaking hushed, and hurried now. But remember kid, You can only pull a felony once in a time frame, and you can only pull a petty once in a shorter time frame. You can't just go around robbing every liquor store you see, or whoring out every prostitute you have. You gotta have time for any heat to get bribed away, you get it? Zig-Zag catch's your eyes darting around. Yea, a dark alley. You ain't scared are you? Good, didn't think so. You're gonna be a mobster, right? This here is where we load up on, and offload, our drugs. I won't go into details right now, but it's simple economics kid--buy low, sell high. Zig-Zag gets out of the car, walks up to the dealer in the shadows, buys 20 lbs. of Cocaine for a decent sum of only just under $6,000 a pound, and get's back in the car. You got the basic idea of how we make our green around here? Good. There's more ways, but, I'll leave you to find them on your own. You'll have to make contacts with other mafioso to really get those anyway. He pulls out of the alley and starts heading down the road again. |
