I look down at my watch and look at the poster that is in my hands It Reads:

Gambling Rehab at 7pm 

I refuse to believe I have a problem and I will prove it after I go to this rehab place. I walk in and in a large room in the middle are a group of chairs positioned in a circle and I see a bunch of shady characters. This looks like the place and I take one of the empty seats and listen to the woman speaking her mind. 

"I don't know I just need help. I lost 100k on a bet last night and had to blow my landlord just so I can stay in my apartment for another month it's getting pretty bad." I snicker and get a mean glance from the group leader a elderly woman who walks over to me and tells me. "So young man why are you here?" I look at her wrinkled face and she cannot hold in her grin and I begin to speak.

"I don't have a problem and I am just here to test out the group, I should be gone by next meeting". The woman laughs and says "How much do you spend on gambling a week on average?" I clear my throat and look for my answer within my mind. "100 thousand usually". The group gasps as most of them look like addicts and hobos. The woman continues with her pre recorded speech that she says to all members. "That is not good, you should be able to control your emotions a little better." She pulls out a ticket from the local horse track and she tells the group that the ticket is a winner. "This ticket if cashed will win the person who cashes it." A little drool comes down my mouth and I leap up trying to grab it. She puts it into her pocket and I stand there astonished. "Well if you're going too waist a good ticket like that someone else deserves it!" 

She laughs and shakes her head at me. "See sit you failed the first step of the process and you are now part of the program. I sloop down on my chair and I head my head down in shame. She beat me I know and now I have to do more of these fucking meetings great. I begin to listen to the rest of the meeting with more intent and I listen to the rest of the group. I choose not to talk when the group discussion and they pass over me. I got a pass since I was the new group member. 

At the end she tells everyone too come back next week at the same time and she comes to me as I was about to get off my chair and leave the room. "So what did you think?" I answer honestly "I always knew I had a problem but I could not bring myself to tell myself I had it. I actually thank you for this experience". She nods her head and give me a hug. I awkwardly receive her hug and leave the room.
