Tobias was a fool.  He diminished and sullied the rank that he held.  He couldn't handle a jail term, so he chose to die instead.

So be it.  This thing will be better off without him and his semi-literate ways.

As for Kharon.  This LadyFighter could - could - be the one to unite and progress this thing of ours.  But she would, once and for all, have to purge the remnants of the DRUS.

The DRUS are still powerful, still hanging on.  The grandson of one of the DRUS, DonShaw- approached coming from the funeral of his father was told he would die as his father did said this;

"My bloodline will never repent for loyalty to our fallen leaders"

This is the type of fanaticism that we are fighting.  We fight on behalf of, and for the good of, this thing of ours and, despite this, we are routinely shot at and killed.
