“Why must we walk ma’am? It would be safer if you let Oscar drive us to the store.” Charlie glared at her most loyal “man”. Sometimes it got rather old to have people always telling her what she should or should not do in the name of security. “Relax Nails. Nothing is going to happen. Besides it is a beautiful night. I just wish @Capazzo could be here with me.” She smiled when she mentioned his name. Cap had just been named a crew leader for the South Side. Charlie was so very proud of him and all that he had accomplished. That was why she was going to Vesper’s place. She needed to pick out a gift for Capazzo. Her grin turned mischievous as she thought about what she had in mind. Trailing discreetly behind the two ladies, about a block away, were two know men of Capazzo. Even some of Charlie’s know men were here and there observing and looking for anything suspicious. Most of the people, however, we fun-loving Chicagoans just out for a night on the town. As the ladies neared the next intersection a large sedan came screeching to a stop in front of them. The doors of the sedan were flying open and out jump two men. The larger of the two men grabbed the startled Charlie and began to try and pull her back into the car. The other man apparently had no aversion to hitting a woman for he threw the perfect punch to the nose of Nails that it sent her flying backwards and hitting the pavement hard. Charlie screamed and fought hard against her kidnappers, managing even to get a mean right hook. It was enough that the man cried out and let go of her with one of his hands that immediately darted to cover his eye where she had connected. Sensing her opportunity, she tried to get his other hand off her, but by then the shorter man was able to assist him in the struggle. Men and women began to converge on the intersection, but it was clear that they would never make it in time now. One of the bodyguards could be heard yelling out. “No, don’t shoot you may hit her!” |

Powerslide was inside a Deli ordering a couple of very large sandwichs to take to a party for his new boss. He was with several of his men that were always with him.
"That's Charlie boys lets go," he said while drawing his gun. "Sounds like she is in trouble and needs help," he said as they hit the door Power looked around the corner and saw several men trying to grab Charlie and saw her belt one of them in the face, that made him smile. He signaled to his guys to sneak up on the men. His men knew him well and he knew they would not do anything without his signal. They made their way around and Power managed to walk up behind the man that grabbed a hold of Charlie and pressed the barrel of his gun to the man's head. At the same time, his bodyguards all pointed their weapons at the other men. "I really don't think the lady wants to go with you gents," he said with deathly seriousness in his voice. "I suggest you let her go." Power said as he pulled the hammer back on the weapon. Power had thought about just shooting them but recognized a few of them and new they work for Tyler Durden. Power didn't want to start a war but would kill them if he had to. |

The burly big man let go of Charlie and both men raise their hands in surrender. Charlie's rage was still on fire and she choose to unleash it. She grabbed the larger of the two men by the lapels and drove her knee hard into his groin. The man cried out and doubled over before falling to the ground in agony. She stood over him with fists clenched and with a cold, hard voice she said, "How dare you! I should kill you right here and now." Turning to glare at the other man she added, "but I have a better idea." Releasing her clinched fists she straightened her carriage and a wicked smirk played at the corner of her mouth. "Boys gift wrap these fellas as a present to the new Don. I am pretty certain what he will do to you will be slow and very painful." Quickly her men began following orders, and proceeded to push the men back into their own car. Without hesitation the orders continued to fly in rapid succession. Gloria, check on Nails." The young black woman nodded sharply and went about caring for Charlie's other female bodyguard. "Carlos, contact my people down in the prescient. Have them take care of this matter with the cops. I want no record of this." The South American nodded and holstered his gun before heading to find a telephone. "Everybody else clear out." Another sedan pulls up behind the vehicle that now held the prisoners. Turning to look at her hero she smiled and took a moment to adjust her ruffled clothing. "It is Powerslide isn't it?" She fiddled a bit with her hair in an attempt to restore it. "Well, Power I owe you a debit of gratitude. Would you care to accompany me back to headquarters where I can more properly express my thanks?" She motioned to the vehicle that had just arrived. More were soon to follow to pick everyone else up. |

Power watched as the man let go of Charlie and then couldn't help but smirk when she kneed him. The man should have been more afraid of her than of Power. Once he saw that Charlie's men had these two under control he signaled for his men to put away their guns. He then turned and signaled a few of his men to help. "The boss is going to have a field day with those two," he says to Charlie walking towards her. "I would not miss what the boss is going to do for all the gold in the world." Power says chuckling to himself as he heads to the car. "Are you ok Charlie?" he asks her. "How are your people?" |

Charlie turned her head and looked over to where Nails was just now rising from the ground with Gloria's help. There was genuine concern on Charlie's face. "I think everyone will be okay." She turned back to Power and smiled a bit. "As for me, I have been in worse scraps. Thank you for asking." She climbed into the car and moved to the far side of the car. When Power got in she told Oscar, her driver, to go to the crew's new headquarters. Then she looked to Power again. "I am sorry if I seem to be rushing us, but it will not take long for word of this to get back to Don Capazzo and I don't want him to worry needlessly. He has enough on his plate right now." |

"No need to apologize. We need to let the boss know. It is true the boss will find out soon. I am more worried about Tyler finding out before the boss." power said to Charlie. "Things could get tough since we decided to take them hostage instead of just killing them," he says with a smirk. "Tyler thinks he can do whatever he wants and get away with it. We need to set this pricks straight." Power cracks the window and pulls out a pack of cigarettes "Do you mind?" he asks Charlie. |

Charlie nodded, "It might come down to a war, but it will not be because we captured these men." She looked out the car window and continued, "This attempt at kidnapping me was not an attack on me per say more so an attack on Don Capazzo through me. The timing screams it. They view him as a threat and was trying to eliminate that threat before he was able to get himself and our crew established." She thought to herself, I have become a weakness for him. A weakness he can not afford right now. Schooling her face to not reveal her current emotions she turns back to look at Power. "As this was an attack on him, Don Capazzo has the right to determine how to respond. I know he will make the right decision." She smiled, "He is a great leader and will choose what is best for all of us." The car rolled up to a stop in front of the new headquarters and Charlie looked down to check her clothing. "How do I look?" The question might have sounded vain, but the truth was that Charlie wanted to look like absolutely nothing had happened to her. It would be necessary. If she went in there looking like she had been roughed up, Cap may make his decision based on raw emotion. She did not want that to happen. |

"You look great." He said to her. Power walks back and roughly grabs the man out of the vehicle. "You know once the boss gets ahold of you, you will wish I had just shot you." Power said to the man "Well if Tyler wants a fight I'll be glad to give him one." He says to charlie as he uses the mans head to open the door. "I am sorry. Did that hurt?" He says as sarcastically. Powerslide drags the man in to building and throws than to the ground. "Where's the boss at?" He asks "This piece of shit has some explaining to do." |

Leaning over each of the men, Charlie removed the potato sacks that had been put over each man's head so that they did not know the location of the headquarters. Tossing the sacks aside she deliberately moved to put herself between Capazzo and his field of vision of the two men laying on the ground. "I am sorry to intrude Don Capazzo. I know you are extremely busy on this night above all others. There was a bit of an incident that needed brought to your attention. These men attempted to kidnap me. I suspect that such action was to take a hit at you before you could get established. It was a gross underestimated of your leadership abilities. A very costly mistake for th Durdens." "Your decision to bring Powerslide into the fold; as well as, the proper allocation of resources and man power enabled the quick and relatively easy apprehension of these men." She turned to smile at Powerslide, as she continued. "Powerslide handled himself superbly tonight. I am proud to call him my crewmate." She turned back to Capazzo "What would you like done to these men? Shall I see if they have any useful intel concerning the Red matter?" |

Capazzo watched as the two Durden gang members stood there. The fear was written all over them from head to toe. Capazzo leaned into Charlie and whispered. "Are you okay Bella?" Charlie nodded slightly and whispered yes. "I'll just talk to these two a bit and meet you home later, ok?" Capazzo gave her a kiss on the forehead and hugged her. Charlie looked at him with concern but then nodded and left. Once MasqCharlie leaves he then turns to PowerSlide "Good work, after all this is said and done you come see me. We'll talk, ok?" Powerslide nodded as Capazzo patted his shoulder. "Good man. For now you can watch how we do things around here." Capazzo nodded then walked towards the men. He snapped his fingers and some of his bodyguards came out from the back. Frankie, Paulie, Tony 1 and Tony 2 and the head bodyguard Adz. The two durden men tried to escape but it was no use there was nowhere to go. Capazzo's men held the two men down as Capazzo slowly paced around them. "So let's summarize shall we gentleman." Capazzo moved very slowly almost methodical like. "You two thought somehow it was a good idea to follow MY woman." Capazzo paused to pull out a cigar and smelled it. "Then you you thought it was a brilliant move to lay your hands on her." Capazzo then cut the end off of the cigar as he continued. "You somehow then managed to fuck it all up." Capazzo then lit the cigar. "Then you two cocksuckers got caught by that guy." Capazzo pointed to Powerslide. "Now you're here...in front of me." Capazzo took a puff of his cigar. One of the Durdens began to speak, as he did Capazzo turned his back and his bodyguard Frankie sent a stiff right hand immediately breaking the Durden's nose. Capazzo turned back around to face the Durden. "You will only speak when you are spoken too...got it?" The durden didn't say anything in fear he would get hit again. Capazzo looked at Frankie and nodded. Frankie this time sent a left hook to the jaw of the durden. "You were spoken too and didn't speak...now let's try this again. You will speak unt-" Before Capazzo could speak the Durden yelled out that he understood. Capazzo laughed. "This is going to be a long evening I can see." He nodded once more at the bodyguards and they all circled the two durdens. After a moment they began firing punches and kicks, kicks and punches laying waste to the two men. Capazzo slowly walked over to his seat and sat down as he continued to puff away on his cigar and watch the events unfold as if he was sitting in a theater. It was entertainment for him, they had crossed the line interfering with the love of his life and they would eventually have to pay the ultimate price. After a few minutes the bodyguards stopped and the two men were a bloody mess. Capazzo outed his cigar and stood back up. "Yes gentleman, so now that you've had some....appetizers...tell me something about Old Man Whitehill or about Tyler Durden, anything." The Durdens were holding on to all information for dear life but they couldn't take the beating anymore. Eventually the Durden with the broken nose yelled out while on his knees. "Okay okay Don Capazzo, I will speak I will speak." Capazzo nodded as the Durden continued. "I heard Old Man Whitehill talking to Tyler and planning their next moves. They had some ace in the hole play. Something that would catch Lucy o-" Before the Durden could finish his sentence Capazzo sent a kick into his forehead and leaned down. He didn't want LuckyLucy name coming out of the Durden's filthy mouth. "You don't get to say her name, continue...." The Durden continued to leak blood. "I-I-I'm sorry. Whitehill told Tyler he had a ace up his sleeve something that L....would catch her off guard." Capazzo nodded. "And that is...?" "She apparently has a brother." "Really now? And what's his name?" "I don't know." Capazzo shook his head and laughed. Before he could say anything the Durden begged and pleaded. "Waitttttt, no! That's all we know. We're nobodies there, we don't know much sir." Capazzo paused for a second and then nodded. He walked over to the other Durden who is also beat but considerably less then the other. He picked him up and walked him toward the door leading to outside. Before he exited he turned to the beaten Durden rat who was still on the ground. "Don't you EVER put your hand on my lady again...EVER." With that he and the other Durden head outside. Capazzo looked at him. "Today is your lucky day. Today you get to live. Go and tell Tyler fuckin Durden...Go and tell Old Man fuckin Whitehill...go tell them what happened here this evening. Let them know Don Capazzo and Lucy are awaiting their presence. Got it?" The Durden nodded and attempted to walk away, Capazzo grabbed his shoulder. "One second. Listen." Capazzo closed his eyes as he held the Durden's shoulders. After a brief second gunshots were heard inside, they went off and continued for what seemed like an eternity. The bodyguards offed bullet after bullet into the Durden. The second Durden outside with Capazzo heard everything and began crying. Capazzo smacked the Durden across the face. "Get a grip you bitch...Don't ever come next to her again....you hear me???....NOW....you can go." The Durden slowly made his way away from Capazzo and once he realized Capazzo was letting him go he ran as fast as he could toward his car. He didn't know how he would explain to Tyler Durden or Old Man Whitehill what happened here tonight but he knew he had to get the hell out of there and quick. He realized he'd made the biggest mistake when he decided to lure Don Capazzo by using his girlfriend as bait. That was a mistake and a check wrote that no one's ass in the Durden-Whitehill group could cash. |

After watching the boss handle the situation he had a proud smile on his face. He new his boss would not be happy and power was not dissapointed with the show. After the shots where finishes and the other Durden left Power turned to his lead body guard. "Tiny you and a couple of the boys get this piece of shit out here." He told the the very large man. Then he signalled to a couple other men to clean up the mess. Once he got his men working he pulled out a gold cigarette case and then pulls out his gold zippo lighter flicks it open and lights a smoke. After he closed the lighter he looked at his grandfathers name engraved on. "Boss my guys got the clean up. You need anything else?" He asks taking a LNG drag from his cigarette. |

Capazzo smiled, Powerslide was a new member of the family but still family. He reminded Capazzo a little bit of himself when he first joined this life. Capazzo walked in towards him. "Powerslide, you've done great work here tonight. I can not thank you enough for coming to the aid of my Charlie. If they'd taken her it could've caused a domino effect of pure fuckery. So thanks for interjecting there and saving her. Trust me, your Don does not forget things like this, this will not go unnoticed. As you know we are on the brink of a war with The Durdens and the Whitehills. Once we see this thing through I want you to set up a meeting with me and we'll sit down and further talk about what you can do for the family. Got it?" Capazzo smiled and gave Powerslide a very light slap on the cheek. With that he prepared to head out and go check on Charlie to make sure she was indeed fine. "By the way kid, the envelope on the table is yours. Thanks." |

Just another night. Another sleepless shit of a night. The sound of thunder cracked across the sky. Followed by a flash of light to rival anything man had to offer. The heavens were speaking. Death had been spilled and the night was alive. And just beginning. Louis kept his distance from the car he was tailing. Two car lengths, sometimes three. When the night sky lit up again he even got a bit daring and pulled up next to the sedan as they approached a red light. The guy was all over the place emotionally. He hit the steering wheel with his clenched fists and screamed out his frustrations. The light flashed green and a car horn egged him to move, and so he did. Off with a spin of the back tires. And Louis slowly followed. The streets turned into a riff raff of buildings and driveways boxed in by alleyways that seemed fairly similar. Copy and pasted to keep it simple, as the reason it existed was for one thing. Greed. Warehouses used for turning over a profit. The district was one big paper making machine. And some did actually make paper. And cardboard boxes. And what looked like an import and export business. Mostly the signs were all that Louis had to go by as the various plots came and went. And whatever vehicles were parked in proximity. When the car finally slowed and began to park, Fats noticed the exterior here was a little different. The same blueprint, a large warehouse most likely being used for more profiteering. But the fencing was a tad bit more private. Like a house with a big ass hedge to keep what was behind it more discreet. Except the leaves were bits of steel. And this wasn't no friendly neighbourhood house. Louis parked the car down the road and turned off the headlights. He could still see the other car, which had pulled up outside the property. And so could she. And she didn't need to be told what to do. She simply readied the Chicago typewriter. Click fuckin' click. It was go time. Del Rossi went into auto pilot. He'd been here many times before. Needing to kick a car into a quick dash from being stationary. It was a part of him. Like an organ of the body working autonomously. The shifting into first. The light riding of the clutch and peddling of the accelerator. Like breathing. He kept the headlights off and as the mark edged toward an entrance, the car was already in full song. All he could do was instinctively turn to see what the noise was before it rained down on him. Actual rain, as the night kept up the sobbing. And a hail of bullets. Bertha had her upper torso out the window and was pasting her wrath on the rat with a thompson submachine gun. His body jolted as the bullets sprayed him and a panel of the building. He fell to his knees, gasping for air and coughing up blood. And as he clinged on to his miserable existence, the car stopped. As the rain poured down harder and electricity from lightning strikes filled the air, the passenger side door opened. Out she stepped, gat tucked into her armpit. It hung down as she walked toward the man who was only moments away from absolution. He was still grasping at life as puddles splashed underfeat, and rain dripped from her trenchcoat. She stood before him, looking down. His eyes said it all. And then they said nothing. On his knees, head drooping. He was gone. Bertha slid her hand into her pocket and removed a piece of paper. As she scrunched it into a ball she noticed sounds coming from behind the door. Bertha pulled the mans head back, stuffed the paper into his mouth then push-kicked his carcass. She then raised the gun and begun pumping more bullets into the dead body as she edged backwards, keeping her finger tightly squeezed, then aimed it directly at the door and gave it some aggressive attention. Before anyone could or even dared to exit, the hefty triggerwomen was back in the passenger seat and they were off again. A drive-by as ordered by Don Capazzo. And a warning. The snitch didn't need to be alive to deliver it. His mouth would still release the words needed on the bit of paper... 'From Don Capazzo and Lucia Fazzone'. Or as loosely interpreted by Louis and Bertha... they ain't nothin' to fuck with. |
