Another truly disturbing auth. Its amazing how this bloodline keeps getting auth. TRULY PATHETIC

An interesting, yet somewhat unusual debate that this auth has stirred.  Back in my father (or grandfather's) day when a crewleader came out to announce an auth respectful and supportive citizens would come out to the streets to welcome the new leader; perhaps even wish him (or her) well.  Those who weren't supportive would typically just keep their mouths shut.  And when a Godfather came out to make a speech, everybody listened. 

The disrespect that has been shown to the Godfather of Chicago, and his new leader, is incredible.  And definitely won't go unnoticed. 

The values in this thing of ours have clearly deteriorated.  And that is sad. 

I hope this new auth will help Godfather Roman change some of that around here. 

It is unlikely that this new auth will change the values of a minority Mr Paxton. Unless Mr Reese has the same impossibly accurate gun his ancestor had when he went rogue and killed the batch of leaders known as the "CP reign" which enables him to shoot through things such as "-24 protection", then it's highly unlikely that the attitude of a few thugs will change. They will speak out while they can, and expect nothing less than to die when their protection runs out.

I looked through my ole grandpappys diarys and i see nothing that you speak of, what is this magic 24 hour protection, i did come across a little tid bit about him shooting someone named Marco, a few weeks later.

What are you talking about Mr Reese? My point was that one auth can't change the mindset of a minority of thugs and civilians. If you have an issue with that remark, then feel free to mail me with your concerns, but I do feel like you jumped onto the defensive a bit sharpish there.

Well, I think everyone should just settle down, it's been a day of celebration in seeing someone with a prized lineage like Jonnie Reese take his place in Chicago. Andrew, normally people are very well behaved when speeches like this are made, but unfortunately Altidore is also correct in that it is probably impossible to change the minds of Thugs with a death wish.

Unfortunately after a war that went bitterly wrong for one side it brings out a lot of people who have piss and vinegar stored up in them that are either the leftovers or sons and daughters of said war. The mindset will change in several weeks when people have something to lose by acting like assholes.

However, I also want to say, you are ALL wrong in discussing this business here regardless of the validity of points. This is a celebration for Mr. Reese, anything further to be discussed outside of that can be made in a separate speech or through a more private correspondence.

So we are wrong to discuss what we want in the streets? Since when has our speech been governed? Since when do we not have the right to say what we wish? If I am not mistaken, there is an amendment that makes it so we can do so. 

On a related note, I also heard tales of this "All powerful gun", however what I heard was a tad bit different. Something about shooting right through bodyguards to hit the target? I don't know, perhaps this is all a myth. However, we can not deny what his ancestors have achieved. Though, in that same statement, you can not deny the shitstorms his ancestors have brought about either. In fact, "roguing" is consider against most family's code of honor. Kind of like a slap in the fact to the person that took you in and raised you. Therefore, I believe no on should receive praise for something so dishonorable.

To you, Roman, In the act of replying with such hostility, my hopes are that people will not change their mindset. Authing someone with such a history is only bound for trouble. Therefore, that casts a shadow over your own judgement as a city leader and godfather. Would you throw your entire city to the wolves for the sake of a friend? Obviously, you would. However, most good leaders wouldn't.

It was as blatantly obvious at the time that something was awry that enable Jonnie_Reese to be both unkillable by trained guns and able to take out anyone he wished with virtually no training of his own, as it is now. I actually think it was probably the darkest incident in the history of MafiaReturns.

However, this was how many years ago? Time to get over it in the hummble opinion of old Craig.

Those who are doubting the intelligence of this auth are being somewhat naive. Jonnie_Reese's father was authed in New York and felled in a war defending that city. Thus it is a fair assumption, unless New York are in the business of forgetting those who helped them, that they are probably equally pleased and supportive to see his son get the opportunity that he was deprived. Seems like a smart move to me.
